Dear lybrate-user. Acne/pimples persist in the age group of 13-30 yrs. With regular treatment, we can bring them under control. Avoid Oily diet, Junk food, Stress, Picking acne, Steroid application, Heavy make up (for women), Inadequate sleep. Visit a Cosmetologist/Dermatologist for an adequate prescription. You may be advised some procedures also.

Sufficient sleep and worry free life is advisable, morning walk for 20 minutes. Consume fruits, juices like grape, anar, carrot, water melon, cane sugar, coconut water, mango, amrood etc. Avoid fast food, fried and bakery products. If interested for local and internal treatment, inform.

Hi, Wash your face with Bakson's Facewash (wash your face with warm water only) and followed by CTMP, i. E. Cleansing, toning, moisturising and protection (apply liberally Sunscreen Gel with SPF-30) after washing your face daily. Prevention: -Take healthy food only and avoid unhealthy ones (although sebaceous glands are not excretory glands then as well!) as what you eat is reflected on your face! -Avoid taking unnecessary stress/ tension as it encourages secretion of stress hormone in the body as thus affects skin or any other tissue of the body. -Drink atleast 8-10 glasses of water in a day. -Take 6-8hrs. Of sound sleep everyday. -Don't use others towels, handkerchief on your face as well as never share yours. -Never ever rub your face as it damages the skin (even towel should be dab on skin softly) and break outs of acne get worsened! -Maintain hygiene, wash your face 2-3times in a day, changes the pillow covers, bed sheet daily, use cotton bed sheet only (try to sleep on your back). Home-made remedies: - Take 1 tbsp of fuller's earth (multani mitti) + a dash of lime + bit of rosewater – apply this on your face till it gets dried up, then rinse it off. - Take 1 tsp of Alum (or fitkari), make it slightly wet with water and apply this on your wet face, spread it well; let it dry and rinse it off. Alum remove your excessive moisture or oil and it also tightens the skin's tonicity. Medication: You can take homoeopathic medicines – Berberis Aquefolium Q/ 10 drops in 1/2 cup of water/ thrice a day (and for local application as well) and Kali Brom. 200/ thrice a day – for 30 days.

Dear Lybrate user, Acne and pimples are natural in teenage (13 to 19) but shouldn't give trouble after this age. Betnovate cream contains a steroid, and it will suppress pimples temporarily and it might harm your skin due to excessive use so avoid it. Most of the times pimples are caused by unhealthy diet like spicy oily food, fast/junk food, excessive paneer cheese in diet, late night sleeping etc. Mny times a dandruff in hairs also causes pimples so wash your hairs on alternate day with good quality shampoo. please avoid above mentioned things if any. Have healthy diet, drink plenty of liquids (3 to 3.5 litres) a day. Take these ayurvedic medicines which will help to purify blood and reduce acne/pimples on face. 1) mahamanjishtadi vati 500 mg twice day 2) gandhak rasayan 500 mg twice day 3) trifala guggul 500 mg twice day. These are the basic medicines for acne/pimples and can be taken easily devoid of any adverse effects. Feel free to consult privately for further information and treatment guidelines. Everyone loves a thick luscious mane of hair, which is shown on television commercials. To be able to flick around shiny healthy locks, you may have tried the best shampoo brands, made frequent visits to the parlour and consulted the doctors several times. However, did you know that the best nutrition for your hair comes from the food you eat daily? Thinning hair, reduction in hairline, excessive hairfall resulting in an undesirable physical change, can be a major cause of frustration and low self esteem. Healthy and hygienic lifestyle, sufficient sleep, adequate water intake and exercises along with a balanced diet help to promote the growth of hair.

Important nutrients necessary to boost hair growth and volume:

  1. Most of the hair is made of protein and therefore it is of utmost importance to include proteins in the diet. Protein cells are building blocks for hair and strengthen your locks.
  2. Vitamin D leads to a healthy scalp and activates the growth of hair follicles.
  3. Biotin (Vitamin B7) leads to the synthesis of an important hormone known as Keratin which forms the fibrous part of hair.
