Hi lybrate-user, first you should increase your calories and protein intake, don't skip major meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner), eat 6 meals in a day. For good muscle, eat high protein diet like chicken, fish,eggs, paneer, soyabean, sprouts, curd etc, eat peanut butter, dried fruits, shakes etc do workout for 30 min /day for increase appetite.

Good Evening For weight gain liver detoxification helps. You can 2tsp aleovera + 2 tsp amla Juice+ 2tsp wheat grass juice in equal amount of water empty stomach. Please take fruit shakes (Like banana, mango) + 5-6 almonds and 1-2 walnuts. In lunch have multigrain roti + 1bowl dal /palak paneer/ egg white bhurji + 1bowl salad. To gain weight you should eat more calories than you burn. Plus not only you have to eat calorie dense food but you have to keep in mind that what you are eating is healthy too. In the process of weight gain you do not want to put weight in an uneven manner and look unhealthy rather than looking bright and healthy. 1. Start with changing your lifestly. Start working out if you are not active. The biggest myth that prevails now a days is that thin people do not need to work out. This is wrong. When you challenge your body, it is forced to grow. But this growth can only be possible if you are eating enough food to let the body absorb and grow in size and muscles. 2. Eat Healthy – Stop drinking and smoking too much if you are indulged in it. Limit your intake of junk food, pepsi, sugary stuff etc. Do not at all starve yourself. Make it a habit to eat something healthy every 3 hours. This means you have to eat 6 small meals in a day. Your Daily food intake should ideally consist of – a. Have plenty of nuts, dry fuits and seeds. Almonds, walnuts, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, figs, dates and raisins. They are full of healthy fats needed by a human body. b. Good amount of fruits and vegetables – Bananas, apples, pomegranate, green leafy vegetables. Fruits and vegetables helps in absorption of food in the body and together, completes your daily nutrition need. c. If you are a non- vegetarian - Eat eggs, chicken etc. d. Eat whole grains – Try to have multi grains spread throughout the day. Wheat, brown rice, oats, bajra, daliya etc should be taken in multiple meals in a day. e. Eat Sprouts – Chana and moong which are full of protein and nutrients. f. You can supplement your diet with good quality multi-vitamin capsules. If you are lacking in protein, you can buy a high quality whey protein and have it with banana shake twice a day. g. You can take natural food items like wheat grass which is full of essential nutrients which helps in weight gain. Try to be patient while you are on the process of weight gain. Hye, Wajan kam hona poshtikta ki kami ka asar hota hai.  Aap theek see waqt waqt pe khaye.  Ek waqt pe poshtik khana khaye. Thoda Thoda samay samay pe khana le. Din mein 6 se 7 baar acche se pet bhar khaye.  Bahar ki khane ki cheze kam le. Inse sirf charbi badhegi maas nahi.  Khane mein fal sabji ghee dal dahi roti chawal doodh shengdaana khajoor lassi batata le. Chai coffee soda kam le, isse poshtikta nahi milti balke pet jaldi bhar jaata hai.  Sahi samay pe Sahi matra mein khaoge tho wajan acche se  badhega. Wyayam hafte mein 3 din zaroor kare. Wyaayam se maas aur wajan badhega aur bhook bhi lagegi. Sirf 2 ya 3 baar khane se kamjori hogi.  Meetha khaana ho tho ghar pe banaaya kheer sheera lassi basundi le. Sirf dawa ya protein powder ya tonic lene se wajan nahi badhega. Uske liye acche se khaana aur Wyaayam bahut zaroori hai. Nahi tho powder ka bhi asar nahi hota. Apne aap ko waqt de, wajan badhne mein waqt lag sakta hai.

Yoga is a science, which shifts one from sympathetic to parasympathetic mode. It is a combination of hatha yoga (asanas or postures), breathing and meditation. Meditation means concentrating on the object of concentration and giving preference to the object of concentration over thoughts. Mindfulness meditation, breathing awareness can shift from sympathetic to parasympathetic mode.

Breathing exercises in yoga can be both slow & deep breathing and fast breathing. Kapalbhati and bhastrika are fast breathing exercises.

In modern system of medicine, every movement in an exercise is accompanied by the opposite movement. The same is true for yoga. For every movement, there is a reverse movement.

Often when patients come to us for consultation or follow up, they ask if it is safe for them to do yoga. Yes, patients can do yoga but they should do it under the guidance of a trained yoga instructor. Teaching yoga is the job of an expert. In the hands of an untrained person, yoga may be risky. Also, it is important that patients observe specific precautions pertaining to their illness while doing yoga. They should practice yoga slowly and take care to not overdo any asana and avoid some postures that may aggravate their health problems

Here are some precautions, which patients should follow while doing yoga:
Yoga is not included as an aerobic exercise.
Fast breathing exercises stimulate the sympathetic system. Slow breathing stimulates the parasympathetic system. Therefore, cardiac clearance needs to be taken for all breathing exercises.
In three situations in hatha yoga (headstand, handstand, shoulderstand), the total body weight is put on head, wrist and shoulder. This requires medical clearance, especially for heart patients.
When you get up from a sitting position, nine times weight is put on the knees. Hence, patients of osteoarthritis should avoid sitting down, low height bed or chair or indian toilets. Yoga may prevent osteoarthritis, but once developed, hatha yoga practices need to be modified.
The lotus position, forward and backward bends need orthopedic clearance in selected patients.
Forward spine exercises may require orthopedic clearance in selected cases as they may precipitate sciatica, if done incorrectly.
Painful and/or difficult yoga postures should be avoided
Patients with cervical disc disease, glaucoma should avoid doing inversion postures (head stand, shoulder stand).
In case of worsening pain or paresthesia, stop and consult a doctor.

Definately take diet which is rich in proteins. Add milk to your diet. Take green leafy vegetables and pulses more. If you take non veg then egg and meat can help you with it.

You can take following energetic foods for weight gain. Nuts: Almonds, walnuts, macadamia nuts, peanuts. Dried fruit: Raisins, dates, prunes. Our weight should be proportionate to our height. For every given height there is a normal weight range. You must do several things correctly to gain weight. A healthy diet: this is the foundation of gaining weight. If you don't do this right, the other things you do won't be effective and could even be harmful. Follow the following tips:- · Pay attention to your health and food intake. · To increase your appetite, have a glass of lime water or 1 cardamom (elaichi) before your meal. · Have minimum 4 meals in a day. · Drink 1 glass of milk twice a day. · Try to enjoy your meals and gradually increase the quantity you eat every time. · A balance diet should have all essential nutrients in it. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. It should include combination of Both Carbohydrates and Proteins for e.g. Oats with Milk or Poha/ Upma with a glass of milk. Hi lybrate-userhere are 6 ways to gain weight healthily: 1. Eating 5 to 6 meals a day in order to gain weight, start eating 5-6 meals a day by breaking them into parts. Eating a lot at once may cause indigestion if the body fails to absorb all nutrients. Eat in small amounts, even if you are not hungry and there will be an increase in appetite from day to day. The aim should be to have a generously portioned breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as two to three snacks in between. 2. Start weight training if you build your muscles through weight training, it will convert the extra weight into lean body mass and also stimulate your appetite. The extra muscle increases the rate of metabolism. When you start exercising you will often experience extreme muscle soreness but it goes away in 3-5 days. 3. Load up on protein besides weight training, a protein-rich diet can help you gain mass. Eating a meal heavy in protein shortly after finishing exercise can be highly effective in adding extra pounds to your body. However, a diet focused only on lean protein is not helpful. It is important to make sure that your diet has plenty of fat in it. Eat foods rich in protein like cheese, meat, eggs, etc to gain weight in a healthy manner. 4. Workout your entire body a lot of people focus only on training the muscles on their arms, chest and shoulders and this is a grave error. Hi, do regular exercise. Take 2 banana with warm milk in the morning. Eat soaked dry grapes or dates soaked in warm milk overnight. Include protein rich food in your diet like soyabean, sattu with milk, eggs, sprouts, milk and milk products combination of cereals and pulses, take healthy and heavy breakfast. No drink before meals. Take frequent meals instead of 3 big meals.
