I had a accident on 22nd of March and my left hand and right leg fractured and the plaster duration is over what exercise and precautions should we take.

you need to do hand grip strength exercises with the help of a soft squeeze ball. for the leg you have to do knee and ankle range of motion exercises and quadriceps strengthening

This must be due to your muscular strain and posture and it may not be due to any other reasons. For the time being for the back pain, apply ice. Take good protein diet

I am a male of 62 yrs. No diabetes or bp. I developed shaking of hands from 22 and year especially when holding tumbler at top rim with hot liquid or serving with kettle or a big spoon. No shaking when keeping quiet. This I feel has increased over decades by say 10%. Will it lead to paralysis as days goes by? what preventive medicine should I take doctor?

Take supplement but even that will not work unless you sit in sun for a minimum 30 minutes every day. Expose your body to the sun. If not possible wear very thin whits clothing.

Hi Thanks for your query and welcome to Lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from Fortis hospital, New Delhi. You are very young to actually have persistent back pains. If you have localized back pain with no other symptoms like radiating leg pain, neurological symptoms like numbness, weakness, paresthesias etc, then you can start with following recommendations for initial period of 2-3 weeks: - To maintain proper posture of your back while working and sleeping - If pain is more then you can take a short course of an anti-inflammatory medication like tab etoshine or paracetamol or one which suits you - Physical therapy initially under supervision of a trained physiotherapist and then to continue at home - Adequate calcium & vitamin d intake if levels are low in body - Ice packs can applied if your pain is acute, then hot fomentation can be done at home - Analgesic spray for local application can be used and is easily available. - Avoid lifting heavyweight/ acute forward bending in mornings etc We will observe you for next 2-3 weeks how you respond to this conservative management protocol. If you are not feeling better, then we will have to get some investigations like, dynamic x rays of lower back and few blood tests for evaluation. I am unable to bear weight on my healed ankle fracture (fracture four years ago). Climbing stairs is a problem. I get pain inside my bone, sharp stabbing pain. This stabbing pain stays for a week or so with no movement and goes away after a week of rest but returns when I climb stairs (put weight on the ankle). Please advise.(The X-ray and MRI reports are normal).

Hello,you can take homoeopathic medicines 1.Arnica 30 (4 drops in little water) thrice a day for a week. 2.Symphytum Q ( 10 drops in little water) thrice a day for a week and revert. Don't take medicines together keep a gap of 15 - 20 minutes in both the medicines.

Good Evening Doctors, I am 25 years old male from delhi. Last year I fall down from the bike suddenly due to a minor accident. After that some strain started in my back but I didn't notice that much after that I lifted around 20 kg of weight and then my pain became worse. Now, I am on continuously physiotherapy from last 3 months but I am not getting that much of relaxation. Sometime there is no pain, sometimes it is bearaup but sometime it become worst. And importantly it is radiating into the leg, and because of that there is so much pain in my lower leg. Hello lybrate user I would like to suggest you do some back muscle relaxation exercises, as you mentioned in your question that sometimes you are getting pain or sometimes you are feeling better it could be because of your change in position. You must notice at which particular position pain you are feeling pain in low back and as you told about leg pain, mostly because of back pain it occurs. You take hot formentation at home.
