My father is 60 years old. He is not having bald. But in order to prevent bald, what he should do?

BHMS
Homeopath, Faridabad
Hi. It's normal to lose up to 100 hair per day, and in most people, those hairs grow back. But many men -- and some women -- lose hair as they grow older. You can also lose your hair if you have certain diseases, such as thyroid problems, diabetes, or lupus. If you take certain medicines or have chemotherapy for cancer, you may also lose your hair. Other causes are stress, a low protein diet, a family history, use of bore water, or nutritional deficiencies. Need to rule out any causative factor or underlying medical condition. Management: Take diet rich in protein like non-veg, eggs (it's loaded with essential nutrients such as proteins, vitamin b12, iron, zinc and omega 6 fatty acids in large amounts and biotin), different pulses & legumes, sprouts, nuts (sp. Walnuts and almonds); iron-rich food like green vegetables, dates, carrots, prunes, green peas; also oats, shrimp, take flaxseeds, sunflower seeds, sesame seeds, green tea, soyabean, fruits, salads, etc. Take low-fat dairy products (they also contain whey and casein, two high-quality protein sources) take proper 6-9hrs of sound sleep. Give up the habit of smoking and excessive alcohol intake. Avoid junk food and any kind of beverages (tea, coffee, aerated drinks, cold drinks, etc.) avoid canned/ tinned food or food that contains preservatives (eat fresh ones). Avoid use of hard water/ bore water to wash the head rather use already boiled water or Drinking water for head wash. Avoid use of harsh hair colour, hair treatment like rebonding, straightening, perming, etc. Avoid vigorous exercises or any supplements provided by the gym! cover your head with scarf or cap while stepping outside. Use rose wood/ any wooden hair comb to brush your hair. Regularly massage head and hair with coconut oil, almond oil (depending upon your scalp type) 1 to 3 times a week. Regular exercising is also one of the important point, but should be done under some good, qualified yoga teacher or instructor for proper guidance; it also releases the stress/ tension in the mind and the body and keeps you fit and young! Medication: Take homoeopathic medicines - Schwabe's Wiesbaden 200 & Alfalfa tonic twice a day for 3 months. Use Schwabe's Arnica shampoo and Hair Growth oil regularly as per the condition of your scalp (minimum 3 times a week). After shampooing, use Bakson's Arnica hair conditioner as well after every head wash.

Pimples or acne is caused when Hair follicles in your skin gets clogged due to oil, dirt, bacteria or dead skin. Acne generally occurs in people with oily skin but other factors like dead skin, dirt, pollution or hormonal imbalance can also cause acne in people with normal skin. Acne can be reduced or controlled by including some habits in your daily life style. 1. Keep your skin clean – Wash your face daily with an oil control face wash. You can also use a good AHA glow face wash that not only controls oil but also removes dead skin and bacteria. By shedding the old dead skin, your skin feels rejuvenated and clean. Apply a good toner, like tea tree toner after washing your face. After toning, apply an oil free and non- comedogenic cream on face. Last but not the least, apply a good sunscreen with minimum 30 spf daily. 1.Face packs – Occasionally apply good oil controlling face packs. Multani mitti + Lemon + yogurt is a good face packs for oily skin beauties. You can apply organic apple cider for 5 minutes after washing your face to kill the bacteria that clogs your pores. Green Tea can also be used as a toner once a day. 2.Diet – Most important thing is diet. Eat fresh fruits and green leafy vegetables daily. Reduce junk food intake, colas, alcohol and soda and consume whole grains. Keeping your digestive system healthy keeps your body and blood toxins free. Drink green tea, lemon juice, orange juice and food items containing Vitamin C as it is responsible for maintaining good skin health. Drink at least 10 glasses of water every day. 3.Exercise – Exercises, yoga, suryanamaskar improves the blood circulation and balances hormones. They keep skin healthy and boost body’s immunity to deal with several issues and not just acne. Include it in your daily regime.

I am a 24 year old male. I have been having this hair fall problem from a long time. I am afraid that I might end up with this general male pattern baldness. I tried a lot of things but my hair keeps falling. Is there anything I can do to stop my hair from falling and regrow it.

BHMS

Specific Best food : 1. Egg : Enriched with protein which helps in growth and improves the quality of hair 2.Bean: Contains silica which prevent hair loss. Helps the base of hair roots and helps to form new cells and regenerate healthy hair. 3. Carrots:Promotes growth of cells of scalp, thus helps in shiny , well conditioned hair growth . 4. Sea food: Contains abundant zinc. Fish contains Sulphur which provides essential fatty acids necessary for maintanence of healthy hair. 5.Dates and Raisins: Contains Iron which helps in haemoglobin production , thus enhancing the oxygen supply to the scalp. 6.Oats: Contain Zinc, Iron and omega -6-fatty acid , which again helps in hairgrowth. Common mismanagement -Excessive stress - Cut down on the use of hair spray, hair gels, and styling creams that contain harsh chemical ingredients, which can dry out the scalp and cause the formation of flakes. - Avoid treatments such as perms, colours, relaxers etc take a toll on the health of your hair. - Avoid changing your shampoo and conditioner constantly. Stick to one good mild cleansing shampoo for six months before changing. - Excessive exposure to the sun, pollution, rain water and dust without proper protection makes the hair dry, brittle and limp. Best Oil to prepare at home would be ? To coconut oil add plenty of curry leaf and onion , once onion becomes brown ,take out of flame. Best Conditioner: Egg white or Hibiscus powder Best natural medicine for hair growth: Chop onions and make a paste of it. Extract the onion juice and apply on the scalp. Keep this for 20 min and do head wash. Can find a drastic change in 2 months time if you do it daily. For further treatment and enhancing the hair growth , you can take Homoeopathic medicines. Please personal message me for further details or if any query. We recommend specific paraben free homoeopathic hair oil and shampoo for treatment.

I've around 15 to 20 white hair. So I just wanna know. Is their anything to turn them black again.

MBBS, MD - MD- Skin & VD

Early graying of hair is called canities. The reason could be genetics, if your family has had early graying of hair, there are huge chances for you to get them as well. Another reason could be thyroid, you should get it tested if no other reason also, it can be a side effect of certain medicines. Prolonged sun exposure also causes early graying of hair. Start with tablet nutrahair hair fall control therapy tablets twice a day after food, -tablet shelcal once a day after food. -along with tablets take protein rich diet as protein the main raw material for hair formation it would take min. 3-6 months of medicines to show effects. So, continue the medicines atleast for that long.

Panderm plus contains corticosteroid which is not considered safe over a long period of time. Rather you should use herbal cream for fairness. Use kumkumadi tailam and phytobright whitening essence cream.

I have so many pimples on my face and their marks. Its irritating. What to do? How to get rid of it?

BAMS
Ayurveda, Ambala
These are the methods to treat fastly pimples: • Imbalance in hormone level causes excessive sebum production and causes acne. So do not take stress and do exercise daily such as running, jogging and long breathing exercises. • Do YOGASANA daily. Especially do SINHASANA & SARVANGASANA daily. • Use oil free face wash and drink 7 -8 glass of water daily. • Do not touch your pimple because your finger transfer bacteria to it and make it worse. If you touch it then clean your face with water. • Take cucumber and papaya pulp. Mix it well and add 1 tablespoon Turmeric. Make a paste and apply it on face and leave it for 15 minutes. • Steam your face to open the pores, which in turn clear the skin. Steam your face for a couple of minutes. • Take 2 teaspoon of RAKTASHODAK SYRUP of BAIDYANATH company once a day.

What if we do steam regular on face? (advantage & disadvantage both) what if we apply face pack regularly? (disadvantages)

C.S.C, D.C.H, M.B.B.S
General Physician,
Steaming is a deep cleansing method that uses hot water vapour to open the pores. The steam dilates the skin, making it easy to remove embedded dirt, blackheads and grime from the pores. Steaming helps to loosen blockages and clears pus from pimples. Don't steam skin that has severe pustules (pus-filled spots). No disadvantages are there

Do You Know the Sun is Adding Wrinkles To Your FACE?

MD- Dermatology & Venereology,Leprosy , International Fellowship in Dermatology, MBBS
Dermatologist, Gurgaon
Do You Know the Sun is Adding Wrinkles To Your FACE?

Do you know the sun is making your skin age faster? plus, 5 other reasons behind facial wrinkles

Facial wrinkling occurs when the skin develops creases, folds and ridges. The formation of wrinkles is a normal part of the process of skin ageing. However, certain factors may accelerate the process and lead to premature wrinkling of the face and other parts of the body.

The main causes of facial wrinkling are:

1. Skin ageing:
as a person gets older, his/her skin becomes less taut and begins to sag. The production of natural oils and fat in the deeper layers of the skin gets reduced with age, which leads to the formation of wrinkles due to diminished skin elasticity.

2. Sun exposure: constant exposure of skin to the sun causes damage and speeds up the ageing process. The harmful ultraviolet rays of the sun break down collagen and collective tissue fibres, which is the primary cause of premature wrinkling.

3. Skin complexion: due to the absence of melanin, people with fairer (lighter) skin, experience more damage due to sun exposure. This causes them to develop wrinkles much earlier.

4. Facial muscle contraction: repeatedly making the same facial expressions and contraction of face muscles causes wrinkling. Those who constantly frown, smile or squint get facial wrinkles as it leads to reduced skin elasticity.

5. Smoking: smokers are more susceptible to premature wrinkling. This is due to the presence of nicotine, tar and other chemicals from the smoke in the bloodstream, which hamper the supply of blood and oxygen to the outer layers of skin.

6. Genetic factors: many people get facial wrinkling as a result of hereditary causes and family genetics.

However, the good news is that facial wrinkling can be prevented through these simple ways:

Sun protection

This is the most effective way of avoiding wrinkles. Keep yourself protected against sun exposure by staying out of the sun as much as possible and wearing sunscreen at all times.

Quitting the smoke

Kicking the habit will show a marked improvement in your skin quality and would help prevent further wrinkling.

Use of moisturisers

Dry skin is more prone to wrinkling. Keeping your skin supple and moisturised prevents wrinkles.

Leading a healthy lifestyle

The combination of following a nutritious diet, drinking plenty of water, getting enough sleep and regularly exercising keeps the skin young and wrinkle-free.

Treatment options:

There are several options to improve wrinkles by procedures which include botox, fillers, prp and lasers for skin tightening. The most suitable option can be chosen depending upon the severity and type of wrinkling.

I'm 23 years female and suffering from vitiligo (white spot) from last 4 years so is it safe for me to use "Remus 0.1% Ointment Cream" on the spot. If yes then how many times should I use it in a day? Please suggest me the suitable answer.

Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine and Surgery (BAMS), Diploma in Dermatology
Ayurveda, Faridabad
Vitiligo is a genetic disorder trigger by indigestion and stressful conditions. Allopathy can give quick results but is not very safe for long term uses if steroids are used. Homeopathic is safe but very slow and in most of cases it can not stop the spread of disease i.e old patches shows some recovery but new white patches continue to come even when we are using Homeopathy. If one think about using Ayurveda there is no good vaidya who is expertise in vitiligo. At our clinic we have integrated external Allopathic applications with internal Ayurvedic medication to give fast and long lasting results. Ayurvedic herbal medicines are used to purify blood and stop the spread of disease and external application are capable of quickly start regimentation. With a expertise in treating thousands of patients in past years.

Dear. Dandruff is a form of dermatitis in which the shedding of dead skin cells from the scalp flake and fall off at faster than normal rate. Dandruff can manifest as either very dry and flaky scalp or very oily scalp with flakes. It is important to note that dry scalp and dandruff are not the same condition. Alopecia usually occurs on the scalp; hair loss elsewhere on the body is less common. In the non scarring form of this disorder (noncicatricial alopecia), the hair follicle can generally regrow hair.
