Hi. As height can be gained till 21yrs. Of age in males and 18yrs. In females, so you do have 5yrs. More to grow further! start taking homoeopathic medicines which are safe to take without any side-effects - bakson's hite-aid and five phos. - both thrice daily and thuja 1m/ one dose once a week - take them for 4 months. Management: take milk and milk products which contains more calcium. More of protein (for cell multiplication) like pulses, legumes, sprouts, nuts, flaxseeds, non-veg, eggs, etc. Also, don't forget to take green vegetables, yellow veggies and fruits, seasonal fruits, salads, etc. Do skip rope daily, initially 10-20 times later gradually and slowly increase the frequency as per your capacity. Do get indulge in stretch exercises, and sports like basketball, volleyball. Last but not least, do take enough of rest and sleep (which helps in repairing of cells and cell rejuvenation). Get back to me after 4 months for further guidance. All the best!

I have knee pain for couple of weeks. My Ortho prescribed me Supradyn, CarniQ, Shelcal and Etoshine. He advised me to avoid walking and sitting in floor but I couldn't as I just got married last week. I still have the pain but when I observed, is painful when an in office than at home. Could this be because of a vitamin d deficiency? What should I do then? It's painful only while walking and not at normal conditions.

If you are loading you knees with 96 kgs, which are designed to carry 70 kgs, they are going to give way some day. Do knee exercises, reduce your food intake, check your thyroid, eat more salads, healthy foods. Do not eat fried foods, maida, sugar etc.

Just try to have a oil and fat free diet for 2 months.A few changes could help protect you from this hidden condition: • Try to keep your consumption of saturated fats to a minimum. • Aim to replace saturated fats, with moderate amounts of ‘good’ fats also known as monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats. • Grill, steam, boil and bake foods instead of frying and roasting. • Eat plenty of fibre-rich foods. • Enjoy healthy snacks such as fruit, nuts and seeds, olives etc. • Eat at least two portions of fish per week, one of which should be oily (Choose from salmon, mackerel, sardines, pilchards or herring). • Include foods enriched with plant stanols/sterols, which are clinically proven to lower ‘bad’ LDL cholesterol as part of a healthy diet and lifestyle. • Stay physically active. at least 30 minutes of moderate intensity exercise on five or more days of the week. • Avoid smoking. • Try and manage your stress levels.  Foods to avoid  Limit saturated fats and oils, such as butter, palm oil, and coconut oil. Instead, use soft vegetable oils, such as olive or canola oil.  Avoid trans fats or partially hydrogenated vegetable oils. These oils go through a process that makes them solid. They're found in some hard margarines, snack crackers, cookies,and chips.  Limit fatty meats such as corned beef, , ribs, steak, ground meat, hot dogs, sausage, bacon, and processed meats . Also limit organ meats like liver and kidney. Replace with skinless chicken or turkey, lean beef, pork, lamb, and fish. Try some meatless main dishes, like beans, peas, pasta, or rice.  Limit meat, poultry, and fish to no more than two servings, or 140 g, a day. Remember that a serving is about the size of a deck of playing cards.  Limit egg yolks.  Limit milk products that contain more than 1% milk fat. This includes cream, most cheeses, and nondairy coffee creamers or whipped topping (which often contain coconut or palm oils). Instead try fat-free or low-fat milk (0% to 1% fat) and low-fat cheeses.  Limit snack crackers, muffins, quick breads, croissants, and cakes made with saturated or hydrogenated fat, whole eggs, or whole milk. Try low-fat baked goods, and use any spreads or toppings lightly.  Instead of using butter or margarine on bread, try dipping it in olive oil.  Avoid fast foods like hamburgers, fries, fried chicken, and tacos. They are high in both total fat and saturated fat. When you eat out, choose broiled sandwiches or chicken without skin, salads with low-fat dressing, and foods that aren't fried. Ask the server to leave off the cheese and high-fat dressings like mayonnaise.

Here are some tips for weight loss as well as belly shaping: 1. Have small frequent meals at 2-3 hrs interval instead of 3-4 large meals only. In between balanced main meals-(comprising of a whole grain, whole legume/egg/fish/chicken, low fat dairy, whole fruits, vegetables, salad); include healthy snacks in between- coconut water (w/o cream), whole fruit, roasted makhana, roasted chana (unsalted), nuts & oilseeds, soup, stew, buttermilk, salted lassi, green tea. 2. Drink 2- 3 litres water daily 3. Avoid junk, fried, processed, preserved, sugary foods & drinks, alcohol. 4. Replace simple carbs (sugar, jaggery, honey, maida, sago, cornflour, arrowroot flour, potato, biscuit, cake, white rice, white bread) with complex carbs (whole fruits, vegetables, salads, whole grains-atta, dalia, suji, oats, millets, barley, brown rice, atta bread, quinoa, whole legumes-sprouts, soyabean, pseudo cereals-rajgira, makhana, & nuts, oilseeds). 5. Avoid skipping meals 6. Have early & light dinner. 7. Sleep & wake up early. Have a sound sleep 8. Practice kapalbhati along with breathing exercises, toe touching, waist rotation, abs, crunches, cycling daily. 9. Walk/ cycle instead of taking transport, take stairs instead of lift/ escalator. 10. Cut down on total oil consumption. 11. Take 15 mins light walk post main meals. 12. Avoid sitting for an hr at a stretch continuously 13. Avoid sleeping in afternoon. Light nap of 20 mins is ok 1 hr post meal.

To control & maintain Blood pressure to normal these are best methods to follow:.• Do physical exercise like jogging, running or brisk walk for atleast 20-30 minutes. • Maintain your cholesterol level to normal & eat least amount of butter, cream or fatty things. • Eat less amount of pickle, salt and fast food as they contain high sodium levels. • Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking. • Take less amount of caffine containing coffee, tea or cold drinks because caffine causes increase BP. • Drink 8 to 10 glass of water daily • Take 6 to 8 hrs of sleep daily. Do not take too much stress. • Do long breathing pranayams (Anulom- Vilom, Bhramari) daily for 10 - 15 minutes. It will reduce your stress level in your body. • Eat healthy diet such as green leafy vegetables, fruits. • Take 5 ml of GULAB Jal added in a glass of water daily once a day.

I have been diagnosed with S5/L1 Listhesis - Grade 1. I was injured while playing football around a month ago. I consulted an orthopedics expert and he mentioned that surgery is the ultimate option but not a necessary one. I also consulted an acupressure and ayurveda expert who did not give me any assurances as such and was very expensive, to be honest. I've been consulting my family doctor since who told me it's not a major issue and asked me to see a physiotherapist. I wanted to know what are my chances of recovery. Also, is there a possibility that I can ever play football again?

Dear Anubhav, Namaskar, Listhesis means slipping of ur vertebral column at L5-S1 level ....gr.1 means less than 1/3rd of the AP diameter of ur vert. body..with loss of some alignment of the vertebral canal ( through which traverses your spinal cord..the tail of ur Brain carrying the nerves which supply ur lower limbs ).... It is of utmost importance that this slip should not increase...otherwise there will be pressure on the nerves causing gradual paralysis of the lower limbs......The slip increases gradually with passage of time and age and it is impossible to check this condition without Surgery.....Earlier the better. take care.

Hi Lakshmi Excess fat deposit on tummy area is due to insulin and glucagon hormone imbalance. To lose tummy fat you should avoid starchy and sugary food exm. chapati, rice, bread, potato. U can use high protein diet exm. pannier, egg, chicken. Take lipolyzer tummy tablet after lunch and dinner.

Dear lybrate user, acne is a very common problem. -Firstly you need to keep your face clean from all the dirt and grime. -Wash your face with a good face wash (with tea tree oil) twice a day. -Dont vigorously rub it . -Scrub you face atleast once a week to remove dead skin cells. -Apply aloe vera gel -Drink plenty of water. -do regular exercise to help open your pores. All these steps will help you decrease the pimples but if the cause is something else then you should take homoeopathic treatment it can be cured permanently with it. take care

You must go for counseling soon. Counseling will help in training you will skills and techniques to cope with the daily challenges in life and will give you a fair chance to manage your life. You must also develop your constitution to make it fit enough to cope with fear, felt many times unnecessarily. You may be taking normal fear and converting it into abnormal fear like anxiety and so on. Take care of the following: Mental stability can be achieved by learning a few skills in handling emotions in an appropriate manner. Stress management skills, which have a lot to do with expressing emotions, will need to be a major part of your recovery program. Emotionally you need the help of a counselor and that will help you tremendously to move from anxiety to normal fear. Please persevere and cooperate through all the support you need and you will come through successfully. Develop your body?s health by physical fitness through exercise, good rest (sleep), and a proper diet. Any way what you need to focus on is to do vigorous exercise of the aerobic kind for the heart?s fitness; meditation for the brain?s fitness; sleep for a well rested mind and body; a sound spiritual well being for good confidence and stability; and a diet with lots of vegetables, fruits, and whole grains. Vigorous exercise, especially of the callisthenic kind, will make your heart, which is a muscle, grow larger; and then your heart will need to beat less often and you will respond to the anxiety with a calmer disposition. If your mind, constitution, and your emotions are in check and fit, you will never be disturbed again. The earlier you tackle this, the easier it is going to be. As regards public speaking, you are not alone: this is the world?s number one fear. Here are a few tips that are not exhaustive enough to elaborate in this forum: A few minutes before you start your heart beat can speed up from a normal rate of 70 beats per minute up to a high of 140.When you actually start; it shoots up further to 190 beats. Here's the good news: this lasts only 30-60 seconds before it progressively starts to decline. Since this is the situation, you can take two measures: To slow your heart beat breathe deep and slow into your diaphragm, it utilizes an extra 80% of your lungs to absorb more oxygen. The heart beats faster due to more oxygen requirement and slow breathing also reduces stress. Since the first 60 seconds are so important to your fear syndrome plan a good opening few lines and practice it well!

Hello, you can take homoeopathic medicines 1. Belladonna 30 (4 drops in little amount of water) two times in a day for a week. 2. Kali phos 6x (3 tabs) two times in a day for a week and update. Keep a gap of 15 - 20 minutes in both the medicines.

Hello Dr, For more than one year I am facing pain while passing stools. I drink 5-6 litres of water everyday. Sometimes I passes freely but most of the time it hurts and I am facing lot of pain and burning sensation during passing. No blood while passing but before 8 months sometimes I saw blood. There was symptoms of starting of ulcer before 1 year and I got treatment. I am worried of going toilet everyday in fear of pain. Pls help is anything serious.

Your symptoms suggestive of chro nic ana l fissure. Let a surgeon see you and decide future course of action .surgery or local treatment. Start drinking plenty of water and salads in your diet. Sit in a tub of warm water three times a day for 15 min specially after passing stools .that will relieve your pain.

To maintain blood pressure loose extra weight,do exercise regularly,eat healthy diet,reduce extra sodium from table.Take dark chocolate to make blood vessel more elastic,Reduce caffeinated beverages as this can increase blood pressure.Use tea as it has less caffeine but not more than 3 cups.No excessive alcohol.Drink lots of water,stay stress free and proper rest.

i would advise you to go for following remedy Natural home remedy using almonds, cow's milk, ginger powder, cardamom and saffron: Saffron is a mild aphrodisiac 1. Soak 10 almonds in water overnight 2. Peel off the skin and crush them the next morning 3. Take 1 cup hot cow's milk 4. Add the crushed almonds 5. Add a pinch of ginger powder 6. Add a pinch of cardamom powder 7. Add a pinch of saffron 8. Mix well 9. Drink this every morning if it dosent work then you must consult ayurveda doctor, They will surely help you.

Thank you for your question. Breast pain is not a sign of breast cancer. Tender breasts often occur cyclically and are worse just before a period. There are several causes for breast pain including badly fitting bras, accidental blunt injury, a small abscess in a hair follicle, breast secretions due to hormonal disturbance etc. You may try simple measures like getting a supportive firm bra, increasing your fluid intake and reducing salt intake, simple analgesia with paracetamol or ibuprofen in the days preceding your period and supplementation with Vitamin E capsules or Evening Primrose oil. If none of these measures work or you feel a lump or are getting nipple discharge please see your doctor for an examination and investigations. Best wishes.

For quicker & better results take 40 grams of whey just after waking from sleep at morning. Take another 20 grams of whey just 30 minutes before workout. Again take 40 grams of whey just after you have finished your workout.
