Heart Attack - Can You Prevent It?

In today’s time, modern lifestyle certainly has made a living a lot simpler, but it has also invited early death rate.

What does study say?
As per the data made by the National Healthcare Center, it has been found out that over the past few years, the number of death rates is increasing due to heart attack and the prime reason for the same is stress and an unhealthy diet. Often we tend to search online for what things can be done to prevent such early death due to a heart attack. In that case, you have to make up your mind and ensure that the diet regimen, workout session and changes in lifestyle are followed in the right manner.

Preventive measures to reduce risk of a heart attack:
It does not matter what is your current age, looking at the changes that a human is going through with the lifestyle there is no doubt that even young people are prone to this problem.

Here are some important tips that can help you from a heart attack.

  1. A healthy diet is the best option: Avoid eating junk food, cholesterol based food, or the do no drink much as these slowly reduce your life quality. Cholesterol based or high-fat food increases the risk of heart attack. Junk food is all about taste, and there is nothing healthy included in it. Instead switch to healthy diet plan rich in fibre, vitamins, and minerals that can regulate the body. Choosing healthy meat with the leanest cuts and restricting down the sugar intake will have a good impact on your overall health.
  2. Workout is another answer for All Your Problem: It is always better that you are physically active so that you can keep the heart rate at a good speed. This will speed up metabolism rate, burn unnecessary calories, and increase the rate of your heart so that you can lose weight at the same time stay active. Besides, physical activities like aerobics and swimming are some high-intensity workout that reduces the risk of heart attack to a great extent. Right from kids to adults above 60 years of age should perform a workout of at least 30 minutes even a walk is fine, but staying physically active is extremely important.

These are just some of the tips that can help you improve your quality of life. Your doctor is your life saver. He is the one who can guide you at every step and help you understand the right way to stay fit and healthy in the long run. Instead of just ignoring the symptoms, if you notice any make sure you speak with your doctor about the same and take necessary preventive measures as advised.

I have a chronic breath and digestion difficulty when I smell smoke around me even its residue in lift, room or corridor. I feel first with a pain in my chest, sore throat and nasal congestion with a growing headache and air expelling habit through my throat. Nasal steroid spray and tylfast tabs fail to cure me.

I am on a keto diet and I go to gym regularly. I eat 10 whole eggs a day. They are high in dietary cholesterol. So is it safe to have 10 eggs a day.

M.B.B.S. , PG Diploma In Clinical Cardiology
Cardiologist, Delhi
You should not take more then 1 egg a day, infact 2 eggs a week provides your body with more then enough cholestrol required. Stop taking 10 eggs a day, and I case you want to take protein take white of egg and throw away the yolk. Other wise very sioon you will land up in deranged lipid catagory.

My mother is 76 years old, non diabetic but hypertension and acidity since past 10 years. Taking Nitrolex SR - 1 per day and RAZO D 1#. She is having osteo arthritis and constipation for which she takes Anuloma powder. What to do for pain and diet?

MBBS, MS - Orthopaedics
Orthopedist, Delhi
Most probably your mother is suffering from oa of knee knee surgery-total knee replacement (tkr) is quite safe & gives uniformly good results, do ask for detailed treatment plan. Surgery should be done when patient is still active & will be able to take benefit of surgery. Do not ignore. It could be beginning of a serious problem. Kindly show me x rays before a final decision can be taken. She will be thoroughly investigated before surgery is under taken. Risk in surgery is less than the risk in crossing road.

Benefits of Drinking Warm Water

Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Surgery (B.U.M.S), PGDHHM

Benefits of Drinking Warm Water
Heart attacks and
Drinking warm
Water.

Study shows reasons why chinese and japanese are more healthy inspite if they having weaker genes than indians.

This is a very good article. Not only about the warm water after your meal,
But about heart attack's. The chinese and japanese drink hot tea with their
Meals, not cold water, maybe it is time we adopt
Their drinking habit while
Eating. For those who like to drink cold water, this
Article is applicable to
You. It is very harmful to have cold drink/water during a meal. Because,
The cold water will solidify the oily stuff that you
Have just consumed. It will
Slow down the digestion. Once this'sludge'
Reacts with the acid, it will break down and be
Absorbed by the intestine faster than the solid food. It will line the intestine. Very soon, this will turn into fats
And lead to cancer. It is best to drink hot soup
Or warm water after a meal.

French fries and burgers
Are the biggest enemy of heart health. A coke after that gives more power to
This demon. Avoid them for
Your heart's & health.

Drink one glass of warm water just when you are about to go to bed to avoid clotting of the blood at night to avoid heart attacks or strokes.

Iam 25 years old. What is essential hypertension and it's causes and effects and it's range.

BHMS
Homeopath, Faridabad
Hi, essential hypertension (also called primary hypertension or idiopathic hypertension) is the form of hypertension that by definition has no identifiable cause. It is the most common type of hypertension, affecting 95% of hypertensive patients, it tends to be familial and is likely to be the consequence of an interaction between environmental and genetic factors. Prevalence of essential hypertension increases with age, and individuals with relatively high blood pressure at younger ages are at increased risk for the subsequent development of hypertension. Hypertension can increase the risk of cerebral, cardiac, and renal events. High blood pressure has many risk factors, including: age race family history being overweight or obese not being physically active using tobacco use of too much of salt in o little potassium in diet too little vitamin d drinking too much alcohol stress certain chronic conditions also may increase your risk of high blood pressure, such as kidney disease, diabetes and sleep apnea. Vertigo is very common these days in any age group due to excess of noise exposure and damage to inner ear, humming sound, whistling and giddiness are the problems which are getting in people are very common these days, these get complicated when they are not taken care of at proper time whistling or buzzing in the ear is getting commoner these days in people of all ages. Most common causes is wax or any object in the ear, after getting your ears clean these gets over. But if ears are already clean than this is worrisome. Common causes which are responsible are high cholesterol diet, alcohol, smoking, loud noises, cervical spondylosis, trauma (self or inflicted) over the ears. If this is the situation than report to your ent doctor immediately tinnitus is basically due to hampered blood supply to ears due to which ears start dying. As this process starts a person starts hearing noises. When a person starts hearing noises then it is already late diagnosis as these noises gets heard by someone when they are of 40 db intensity, below that threshold these noises are not heard. So it is already to late and the damage has become permanent. Problem with these noises are that we can control at what level person goes to his specialist otherwise these noises keep on increasing and can give you headache frustration and depression. Now a days tinnitus maskers are available which help you to lead your life peacefully. Giddiness is never the side effect of medication. And you need to show up for psychiatrist.

If someone has suddenly got pain in his heart at the age of 65+ and it is a night time and there is no hospital or doctor in nearby location. Can you tell me what is the neccesary steps one should take immediate?

DHMS (Diploma in Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery)
Homeopath, Ludhiana
Have the person sit down, rest, and try to keep calm. Loosen any tight clothing. Ask if the person takes any chest pain medication, such as nitroglycerin, for a known heart condition, and help them take it. If the pain does not go away promptly with rest or within 3 minutes of taking nitroglycerin, call for emergency medical help. If the person is unconscious and unresponsive, call 911 (or your local emergency number), then begin cpr.
