Vaginal Rashes - Causes and Symptoms Associated with It

Vaginal Rashes - Causes and Symptoms Associated with It

Vagina is one of the most delicate organs of your body. While you tend to the hygiene of other body parts, caring for the vagina either doesn’t strike you or it is too taboo a thing to be discussed about. Vaginal rashes are prevalent among many women and in most cases, they are not aware of ways to approach the problem. Rashes can lead to extreme uneasiness and if neglected, could even cause complicate health disorders. Thus vaginal rashes should be treated with proper medical assistance and watchful sanitation.

Factors that can cause vaginal rashes:

1. Warts in and around a person’s genital: Warts are infections that can have a painful and disturbing effect on your health. Genital warts are the result of sexually transmitted infections. The diverse kinds of human papillomavirus are known to trigger the formation of vaginal rashes.

2. Infections caused due to the predominance of viruses: Vaginal rashes may exhibit themselves in the form of aching blisters. This symptom could be indicative of Genital Herpes that further needs medical expertise to be dealt with.

3. Folliculitis could cause suffering: The base of a hair shaft is indeed a sensitive area. Any infection pertaining to hair shafts surfacing usually in the form of a red lump can worsen to cause rashes in your genitalia.

4. A cyst in the Bartholin gland could be the reason: A Bartholin gland is one of the two glands positioned at the opening of a person’s vagina. A cyst might happen to develop in any one of these glands due to accumulation of fluids produced by the glands itself. Secondary symptoms of such a condition could be red, itchy rashes.

Symptoms that help a doctor identify the prevalence of rashes in your vagina:

1. Redness of the skin in and around one’s vagina is a characteristic feature of an underlying problem.

2. Your vagina could itch persistently preventing you from free movement. Constant itching can also hamper your otherwise smoothly functioning sex life.

3. The skin around your vagina can become excessively dry and peel off as a result.

4. Tenderness and soreness are common symptoms that make sitting or lying down troublesome.

5. Vaginal rashes may or may not be accompanied by a stinging, throbbing pain. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a doctor and ask a free question.

If the menses date of your wife is fixed thn seven days after the bleeding and seven days before the start of next periods is safe to do sex without condom. How ever in mid days you can use condom or can practice ejaculation control method to avoid pregnancy.

Dear lybrate user. Both female condom and male condom are equally effective to prevent pregnancy. Vitamin c can be used as an emergency contraceptive or in home abortion - however it is not recommended above that of emergency. Please consult a gynecologist before attempting to use vitamin c as contraceptive. Take care.

MILK Tea Vs BLACK Tea Vs GREEN Tea - Is Your Choice the Best?

MILK Tea Vs BLACK Tea Vs GREEN Tea - Is Your Choice the Best?

Let's start with an interesting fact: all types of tea, be it green or black, comes from the same plant, Camellia sinensis. The difference only lies in processing and oxidation. So how can one be better than the other you ask? Let's find out.

1. Fluoride content
When it comes to fluoride content both green and black teas score high, while milk tea sadly loses out. Green and black teas are good for your teeth and bones, although black tea has higher fluoride content (0.2-0.5mg as compared to 0.3-0.4mg in green tea). Its best to have your black tea with tap water as it increases the fluoride content up to 0.9mg.

2. Antioxidant content
Yet again green tea and black both have high antioxidant content that helps in preventing cancer, but green is the clear winner over. Milk tea loses again as the milk in it effects the absorption of these antioxidants by your body. Green tea is enriched with a particular type of catechin (flavonoid) called EGCG, which regulates gene activity in cancer cells, and may even prevent cancer growth.

3. Caffeine Content
Both black and green teas have different amounts of caffeine in them. Green tea has lesser caffeine content than black tea- 9-50mg/cup in comparison to 42-17mg/cup. So if you want to have an energetic morning then black tea is the one for you, but if you want to relax your blood vessels and just enjoy a soothing drink, choose green tea. Milk tea unfortunately does not have a calming or an energising effect.

Benefits for your heart:
Black tea is probably the healthier option if you want to derive cardiovascular benefits from your daily cuppa. While green tea has abundant EGCG which creates a lining along your blood vessels to reduce stress, black tea offers more benefits. Black tea can improve the function of your blood vessels if you suffer from coronary artery disease. Apart from that, both can lower the levels of harmful cholesterol. There's no evidence that supports that milk tea can be beneficial for your heart.

So in the end it's your call to choose black or green tea, whichever works best for you. Try avoiding milk tea as the milk steals away the essential health benefits of tea. Just remember to have no more than 10 cups of green tea a day, and no more than 4 cups of black.

Mostly with age the ovarian(egg) reserve may decline. So it is a good idea to plan a pregnancy soon after the marriage and consult a gynaecologist before planning.

Dear sir/mam, Can I have sex with my wife even of she is pregnant and now she is a 2months odd pregnant playing suggest me up-to how may months we can have sex with each other. She tested pregnancy with home hcg test and it showed two red lines.

MD - Obstetrtics & Gynaecology

Yes sex can be practice during pregnancy. After 5 months of pregnancy one needs to change the position of male partner. Intercourse can be practiced in male standing position or sideways position. Male partner should not lie on the tummy or growing fetus. It looks like you haven't got sonography done yey. Initial sonography is very important and will help her during pregnancy.
