Kidney Transplant - 5 Things About it !

Kidney Transplant - 5 Things About it !

A kidney transplant is a procedure that employs an operation to transplant properly functioning kidney in the body. The main job of the kidneys is to remove the excess waste from a person’s body with the help of a filtration process. When the kidneys stop filtering the toxins properly, they become diseased as harmful waste products and toxins begin to accumulate in the body. Following this, the patient has to go through treatment measures like dialysis or kidney transplant.

Read on to know the five things you should keep in mind about a kidney transplant.

  1. Treatment: Transplant is one of the best ways to treat chronic kidney disease stage-V, until unless it is contraindicated. Life becomes near normal after transplant, though there is a possibility of rejection of transplant kidney. Patient has to take immunosuppressive medication life long.
  2. Medication: Medications are mainly for:
    1. To prevent rejection: Patient takes immunosuppressive medications life long.
    2. Prevention of infection: Patient has to take care all the measures to prevent infections as they are more prone to infections.
    3. Other medication: To control diabetes, HTN etc.
  3. Family Only: The donors are from family or emotionally related or cadavers (after brain death). HLA-matched donors are better because of less chances of rejections and first reduction of immunosuppressive.
  4. Doing Your Part: Once transplant is done - patient becomes normal and he/she lives a normal life. However, they have to take regular medications and to protect themselves from various infection.
  5. End Stage Renal Diseases: These diseases includes diabetes mellitus, HTN, polycystic kidney disease, chronic glomerulonephritis or interstitial nephritis etc.

Consult a Nephrologist before going for renal transplant for detailed check up or line of action.

The best ayurveda herb for your case is 1. Take 60 gm kidney beans 2. Add 4 L of water 3. Heat for 4-5 hr 4. Strain the liquid through a fine muslin cloth 5. Allow the liquid to cool 6. Drink 1 glass of this liquid once every 2 hr in a day 7. Do this for a week 8. Do not use the liquid or the beans again 24 hr after the 1st preparation Causes: • Crystallisation of chemicals and minerals present in urine leads to kidney stones it will surely help you.

Bubbles or foam in urine means that there is problem in kidney as kidney is not able to filter protein. Stop taking too much of protein and if you don't have diabetes, high b.p then it can get back to normal in few days..

57 year old male, diagnosed with BPH but no avoiding problems at present. Size of the prostrate from USG in December 2015 was 44 gms. The PSA levels at the same time was 40 (suffering from UTI at that time). Doctor prescribed Velfu which I have taken for 5 months. The uroflowmetry (March 2016) shows that urine flow is ideal for age. The doctor has advised to shift to geriflo D now. In view of its considerable side effects, and no problems at present, is it advisable to take geriflo D or should wait and watch to see if symptoms become severe.

The traditional theory behind bph is that, as the prostate enlarges, the surrounding capsule prevents it from radially expanding, potentially resulting in urethral compression. However, obstruction-induced bladder dysfunction contributes significantly to luts. The bladder wall becomes thickened, trabeculated, and irritable when it is forced to hypertrophy and increase its own contractile force. Psa is an screening test to determine cancer risk in men for prostate. Size of prostate is also based on bmi (body mass index, thus maintaining a healthy lifestyle with diet rich in vegetables and fruits, good sleep, drinking plenty of water and regular exercise is must. Since allopathic medicines are associated with more side effects you can go for constitutional homoeopathic treatment for continued relief and it is free from side effects, you don't need to take medicine daily.

Hi lybrate user, as per the information provided by you, you are suffering from renal calculie ie; kidney stone. If it is 2-3 mm in size it will easily removed with the help of lots of fluid & some dietary changes. - take lots of fluid like water, soup, juice, coconut water etc. - try to take 3-4 litre of water in a day. -in maximum cases stones are made up of ca oxalate. So avoid oxalate rich food like: tomato, spinach, brinjal, blach tea/ coffee & other foods rich in seeds. - if you are underweight try to take small & frequent meal. Take 3 major meals (breakfast, lunch & dinner) & 3-4 small meal/ snacks. - do regular walk/ exercise for 10-15 minutes. - if your stone pain is very severe / large in size, consult with the doctor.
