Try few things for your back pain: - Apply Ice and Heat Heating pads and cold packs can comfort tender trunks. Most doctors recommend using ice for the first 48 hours after an injury -- particularly if there is swelling — and then switching to heat. You can use whichever you find comforting as long as your skin is protected. - Limit Bed Rest Studies show that people with short-term low-back pain who rest feel more pain and have a harder time with daily tasks than those who stay active. -Keep Exercising Activity is often the best medicine for back pain. Simple exercises like walking can be very helpful. But remember to move in moderation, Stay away from strenuous activities like gardening and avoid whatever motion caused the pain in the first place. -Maintain Good Posture most people have poor posture when going about their daily activities, putting unnecessary strain on their backs. -Strengthen Your Core Most people with chronic back pain would benefit from stronger abdominal muscles. If the abdominals are weak, other areas must pick up the slack. When we strengthen the abdominals, it often reduces the strain on the lower back. - Improve Flexibility Too much tension and tightness can cause back pain. By increasing flexibility you need to put an equal load throughout the body from the feet all the way up to the head. -Sleep the Right Way The amount of rest you get is important, and so is the position you get it in. Sleeping in a bad position or on a mattress without support can cause back pain. Back sleepers should put pillows under their knees. Side sleepers should place pillows between their knees to keep their spine in a neutral position. Mr. Lybrate-user, fasting 250 mg us very high, signifies there is uncontrolled diabetes. You need to be on appropriate drug treatment either oral or insulin injection, when in control fastin should be 100 mg, pp 150 to 160 mg and hba1c% <7. Plus you have to take restricted diet and do daily one hous exercise.

What is hyperacidity?
It is an uncomfortable burning sensation that often times creeps up the throat, and is a symptom more so than a disease. It is caused by acid reflux.


Home Remedies For Hyperacidity

•Take 3-6 gm of liquorice (mulethi) root powder with warm milk.
•Drink cold milk without any additives. Make it more effective add one teaspoonful of ghee to it.
•Eat overripe bananas during an attack of acidity. They have higher amounts of potassium making it even more effective.
•Boil one cup of water and to it add one tsp of Fennel (souf). Cover and leave overnight. Strain the water in the morning, add 1 tsp of honey (shahad).Taken this prepration 3 times a day.
•Chew Cumin (jeera) or boil it in water. Drink the water when it has cooled down.
•Chop some mint leaves, add them to a pot of boiling water and drink this water after cooling it.
•To relieve acidity crush two pods of cardamom (with or without the skin), boil the powder in water and drink the cooled juice for instant relief.
•Crush ginger, mix it with a small piece of jaggery (gud) and keeping sucking on it allowing the juice to slowly reach the stomach.
• One teaspoon of amla powder twice a day to help keep acidity way.
•Chewing holy basil (tulsi) leaves.

I was interested in knowing different treatment options for keratoconus in my left eye. Just to give a back ground, I was operated for keratoconus in my right eye through deep anterior lamellar keratoplasty(dalk) way back in 2006 and the results were outstanding. Then problem is I am a working professional and cannot afford to be off work for a long period of time, which I will have to do in case I opted for dalk again. My treatment was undertaken at rp centre delhi. I heard about a new corneal cross-linking treatment done using riboflavin and uv exposure to cornea. I am not sure if this has still made it's way in india. Any guidance I can have will be much appreciated. P. S. Lasik in not a recommended treatment for keratoconus since thickness of our indian cornea is way less than the avenue thickness as in other western countries.

You must have advanced keratoconus in left eye, and underwent dalk keratoconus is a bilateral disease and one eye is affected more. As for the other eye if its progressing and corneal thickness is greater than 360micrometer, you can undergo c3r, which started in rpc in 2008. However if not progressing contact lens is best option, as surgery is not so predictable. You had a great surgery in one eye doesn't mean same for other eye. If you need any help at rpc aiims, I can help you as I have worked there for six years.

Patience is the key. It took nine months for your tummy muscles to stretch to accommodate a full-term baby. So it makes sense that it can take that long, or longer, to tighten up again. The speed and degree of this tightening up depends on a few factors, including: • What shape and size you were before you conceived your baby. • How much weight you gained during pregnancy. • How active you are. • Something you can't do anything about: your genes. You may find it easier to shed the weight if: • You gained less than 13.6kg and exercised regularly during pregnancy. • You breastfeed. • This is your first baby. NOTE you shouldn't aim to be back to your pre-pregnancy weight until about six months after your baby's birth. How can you safely lose weight to help your belly look better? Breastfeeding may help, especially in the early months after giving birth. If you breastfeed, you'll burn extra calories to make milk – about 500 calories a day. You may lose your pregnancy weight more quickly than mums who bottle-feed their babies. Breastfeeding also triggers contractions that help to shrink your womb, making it a workout for your whole body. However, if you eat more than you burn off, you will put on weight, even if you breastfeed. It's fine to lose weight while you are breastfeeding. Your body is very efficient at making milk, and losing up to 1kg a week shouldn't affect the amount of milk you make. However, if you have a newborn to look after, you'll need plenty of energy. Trying to lose weight too soon after giving birth may delay your recovery and make you feel even more tired. It’s especially important not to attempt a very low-calorie diet. So try to wait until you've had your postnatal check before start trying to lose weight. Eating healthily, combined with gentle exercise, will help you to get in shape. The following general guidelines will help you to achieve and maintain a healthy weight: • Make time for breakfast. • Eat at least five portions of fruit and vegetables a day. • Include plenty of fibre-rich foods, such as oats, beans, lentils, grains and seeds, in your diet. • Include a starchy food such as bread, rice, pasta (preferably wholegrain varieties for added fibre) or potatoes in each meal. • Go easy on high-fat and high-sugar foods, such as biscuits and cakes. • Watch your portions at mealtimes and the number and type of snacks you eat between meals. There's no right answer about how many calories a day you should have. The amount you need to eat depends on your weight and how active you are. What else can you do to help regain your pre-pregnancy belly? Exercise can help to tone stomach muscles and burn calories. If you exercised right up until the end of your pregnancy, you can do some light exercise and stretching from the start. If you stopped exercising during your pregnancy or are a newcomer to fitness, it is better to start exercising more slowly. Fitness aside, all new mums can begin pelvic floor exercises and work on gently toning up lower tummy muscles as soon as they feel ready. This may help you to get back to your pre-pregnancy shape and help to flatten your tummy. When you feel up to it, take your baby out for walks in his pushchair. If it looks swollen, it can be an infection. It can also be a bug bite. It can also happen with change in weather or if you bit your lip accidently. It will heal. Apply ice if it hurts, moisturise using vaseline petroleum jelly.

You most certainly are depressed. It does not help if people ignore you: this could lead to an escalation of your plight to worsening conditions. Do not neglect this any further. Go and meet a psychiatrist and a counselor immediately, along with your husband. Depression makes you want to withdraw, lie down, sleep, become lethargic, slow down, makes you too lazy to even think etc. You will need to fight this disease. You must become active; stay upright during the daylight time; meet people; never sleep during the day, and wake up by 6 am every day, play some active games, especially contact games, do physical exercises, talk to people and join some social clubs, eat more of proteins and vegetables, attend Yoga classes etc. Watch a lot of sitcoms on TV or comedies and cheer yourself up. Go for excursions in groups, for outings, camps, conferences, and religious conventions. Get a pet dog and spend time training it, exercising it and relating to it. Expose yourself to some sunlight every day, at least 30 minutes but not in the scotching heat. I hope you can get your husband and son to love you and spend time with you. Whatever happens please incorporate these three important adaptations in your life: always be responsible, be respectful, and be functional. If you did these three things lots of things will go well in life. Please pray and have faith in God to alleviate your sufferings.
