Thank you for the query. Firstly I would like to know more about your leg pain. Is it a joint pain or muscle pain (for eg. Pain on the calves). Also whether one calf is more swollen than the other. A platelet count of 9 lacs is quite high and you would need a complete blood count assessment. Such a high count will prone you to develop thrombosis (clots) all over the body (as platelets are responsible for hemostasis). If you are having pain in the calf you need to rule out a deep vein thrombosis. Please do contact a hematologist as soon as possible for complete clinical examination, and get some test done like serum ldh and uric acid. Regards.

The only thing thats going to help you is avoid the two wheeler ride, its a known cause for slip discs and listhesis which cause backaches and frequently severe problems too. Try uisng public transport more frequently. Regarding your backpain, apply hot/cold compresses 3-4 times a day, avoid bending forwards and lifting heavy weights, try early morning joggings and have a healthy diet,

Sorry to hear about injury. Normally it take 45 days to recover from fracture if its there. Cast is good option if fractures is simple but if its" open or communited" or other type then after cast also take re xray n check the position of bone is perfect. Otherwise manually by traction or other way it should be correct. Mean while take care n get well soon.

Most probably you are suffering from oa of knee. Knee surgery-total knee replacement (tkr) is quite safe & gives uniformly good results, in our hands. We have well equipped center in delhi. Do ask for detailed treatment plan. Surgery should be done when patient is still active & will be able to take benefit of surgery. Do not ignore. It could be beginning of a serious problem. Kindly show me x- rays before a final decision can be taken. You will be thoroughly investigated before surgery is under taken. Risk in surgery is less than the risk in crossing road.

Lower Back Pain - 8 Signs When You Must Visit Your Doctor

Pain causes a lot of discomfort in the body no matter whether the pain is in the back, legs or in the head. Almost all people experience lower-back pain at some point in their lives, which can be extremely painful and can cause considerable annoyance. The first medical specialty that comes to mind for relief of lower-back pain is Orthopedics. The other two specialists that play a vital role in treating lower-back pain are the neurosurgeons and the physiatrists.

Pain in the Back
It is very difficult for the body to source the pain when it is deep and this pain could be due to infection, disease or injuries in the back, stomach and heart. It is even possible that the pain radiates to different places in the body. Often back pain is accompanied by body changes like redness, fever, neurological problems, heat, and changes in body functions and for that diagnosis of the back pain may be very severe. Patients suffering from lower-back pain and with symptoms that comprise of weakness in the foot or other symptoms of a neurologic insufficiency must definitely see a neurosurgeon.

Back pain that occurs due to reversible problems is known to vanish in a few hours or in a day. However, if it continues longer and is accompanied by body changes, then there are chances that the condition can become worse. You must consult your doctor for back pain, if any of such characteristics are witnessed. It is always better to get evaluated by a physician.

When to Consult a Doctor Immediately

  1. Back pain that is followed by a shock like a car accident.
  2. The pain in the back worsens and is constant
  3. Back pain continues for more than 4-6 weeks
  4. The pain does not improve even after taking typical remedies such as taking pain relievers or after resting.
  5. Severe pain in the back in the night and that is alleviated by rest
  6. The back pain is accompanied by abdominal pain
  7. Numbness in the upper thighs, buttocks, groin or in the genital area
  8. Weakness or tingling sensation in the arm or legs

Role of a Neurosurgeon
The neurosurgeon provides non-surgical as well surgical care depending upon the nature of the illness or the injury, and he does not just operate. The neurosurgeons are experts and offer treatment to patients suffering from any spine injury or disease, brain or peripheral nerves that deal with arms, hands, feet and legs. But there are many other neurosurgeons that confine their practice to treating back pain.

Here are some tips for how to handle your back pain: -stop normal physical activity for the first few days. This will help relieve your symptoms and reduce any swelling in the area of the pain. -Apply heat or ice to the painful area. One good method is to use ice for the first 48 to 72 hours, and then use heat. Take pain relievers medicine. --While sleeping, try lying in a curled-up, fetal position with a pillow between your legs. If you usually sleep on your back, place a pillow or rolled towel under your knees to relieve pressure. -Do not perform activities that involve heavy lifting or twisting of your back for the first 6 weeks after the pain begins. -Avoid bending forward and sitting in a place for long time -Stretching and strengthening exercises are important. But, starting these exercises too soon after an injury can make your pain worse. -Some Physiotherapy treatment like IFT can give you some relief . -A physical therapist can tell you when to begin stretching and strengthening exercises and how to do them. There are many conditions that can cause knee pain. - Ice is useful for the control of pain and swelling. It can be applied to the knee for 15 to 20 minutes as often as every two to four hours. The swollen knee should be elevated above the level of the heart while icing. -activities that cause pain should be avoided temporarily. -If the knee is swollen or sore, the following positions and activities should be avoided until knee pain and swelling resolve: Squatting Kneeling Twisting and pivoting Jogging Aerobics, dancing Playing sport You need detail assessment with a Physiotherapist to find out what causing you this pain and pain management for your back and knee pain. Best wishes

Hand exercise dear, you can do it, 1……. Make a Fist Hand and finger exercises can help strengthen your hands and fingers, increase your range of motion, and give you pain relief. Stretch only until you feel tightness. You shouldn't feel pain. Start with this simple stretch: •Make a gentle fist, wrapping your thumb across your fingers. •Hold for 30 to 60 seconds. Release and spread your fingers wide. •Repeat with both hands at least four times. Finger Stretch Try this stretch to help with pain relief and to improve the range of motion in your hands: •Place your hand palm-down on a table or other flat surface. •Gently straighten your fingers as flat as you can against the surface without forcing your joints. •Hold for 30 to 60 seconds and then release. •Repeat at least four times with each hand. Claw Stretch This stretch helps improve the range of motion in your fingers. •Hold your hand out in front of you, palm facing you. •Bend your fingertips down to touch the base of each finger joint. Your hand should look a little like a claw. •Hold for 30 to 60 seconds and release. Repeat at least four times on each hand. Grip Strengthener This exercise can make it easier to open door knobs and hold things without dropping them. •Hold a soft ball in your palm and squeeze it as hard as you can. •Hold for a few seconds and release. •Repeat 10 to 15 times on each hand. Do this exercise two to three times a week, but rest your hands for 48 hours in between sessions. Don't do this exercise if your thumb joint is damaged. I hope apka hand acha or majbut ho jayga thnx…………………………………………….
