I am taking obimet 500 before and after lunch I am 45 of age, I am doing I hour exercise including fast walk and gym, I am eating sugarless food, like vegetables, fish, chapati and small amt. Of rice I taking this food in 4 parts beside that I am unable to control my sugar level but fact is that I have lot of tension from my home side, please suggest me how I control my sugar level?

MBBS, DGO (cal)
General Physician,
To control Blood Sugar four factors are most important. They are: 1) Exercise, 2) Diet, 3) Medicine, 4) Stress Management. I am not convinced about your taking Obimet 500 before and after lunch. Rather Obimet SR 1 G can be taken after BF only. If that is not controlling sugar you may need to add other medicine. Of course it is not clear what exactly you meant by' not controlled BS? There is no food as such which is sugar/CHO-less. Hope you need to talk to your consultant about your diet. Exercise is very much important but don' t over do or make a chaos of exercises in your life. Brisk walking for 5 KM daily shall be enough for you + some fat burning free hand exercises. You ar not that overweight. Your weight is very much near normal. Keep it below this. Stress management is done by meditation.

Hello, Thanks for the query. Glycemic index is given for different foods. That tells how fast that food gets converted to glucose in the body. Meaning high glycemic index products like rice, idli, sweets potato get converted to glucose rapidly raising the blood glucose level. I am unable to understand what are you actually hinting. We only have blood glucose level. Thanks.

if your pp sugar level is 300 mg/100 ml, then diabetes is not in control. You need to add some more drugs with the advise from your doctor. What is the hba1c%, is it below 7%? also how active you are, because exercise ad weight reduction helps in better control of blood sugar.

Alternative medicines though found helpful in certain cases lack evidence in terms of controlled trials done on patients. Hence both their good and bad effects if any may be unpredictable to a large extent. Erectile dysfunction is a multifactorial disorder. At age of 34 years, it can be due to hormonal issues, metabolic disorders, genetic insufficiency and mostly due to psychological stress, issues with partners and performance anxieties. I would advise you to deal with them by consulting a psychiatrist and sexual counsellor with complete details. For more queries and assistance you may contact me online.

Your problems are multiple a if taken together it is a part of syndrome x. Sleep apnea and breathing are significant problem and can even be life threatening. It is easy to assess and control the disease just get evaluated by a pulmonologist.
