Add more protein in your diet like soyabean, sprouts, eggs, milk and milk products, pulses etc. You should take high calories food that increase your muscle mass and induce growth in bones. Peanut butter is another yummy remedy for gain weight. You need to combine a balanced eating pattern with regular physical activity and don't skip breakfast. Whey protein is taken post workout. It already has important amino acids like glutamine which is very helpful. It should be had within 40 minutes of your workout to prevent wear and tear of muscles. Since this window is called the protein window. BCAA are specific 3 amino acids. Whey is complete in itself.

Please write your age and height. Use some home remedies. Dinner whole grain bread or chapattis, steamed vegetables. Do regular exercise like brisk walking (at least), running, swimming etc. Avoid sedentary and lazy lifestyle.

Please give some tips for weight gain in a healthy way. I vary thin only about 39 kg weight in 19 years. please help me.

Take high protein foods like all milk and milk products, eggs, pulses, sprouts, nuts, tofu, rajmah, chole, soyabean, paneer, chicken, fish etc.

I am 37 years old and has a history of hypothyroidism (75 mcg thyronorm), also has elevated uric acid (febuget 40 mg) and low vitamin D (60k per week). Can you please suggest on what I should eat according to all the above?

Hello, Thanks for the query. You are already taking specific medication for each of your mentioned problems. So there is nothing else required. For hypothyroidism one should avoid soy beans and soy containing products. To reduce uric acid avoid red meat, organ meat, fishes and mushrooms. Thanks.

My daughter is 11 years old. She is not interested in normal food. Fast food and chocolates are her favourite choice. If we tried to stop her she went to bed with emty stomach. We are in great trouble with her food habits. She is suffering from constipation. Obesity is also the another problem. Her teeth are affected. Sometimes bleeding is found in her gum. What can I do in this regard.

She needs counselling. If she doesn't agree, you have to be little bit strict. Let her be empty stomach for some hours. Child can not stay empty stomach for a long period of time. She knows that you will make her do whatever she wants, that is why she goes to sleep empty stomach. If you do not change this habit, you will face many diseases in future. Tell her you will give chocolates during lunch and dinner time with the food but frequent snacking should be changed. That's the major reason for having so many troubles.

I am a diabetic 2 person and I am taking glizid-80 with metmorfin 500 today morning at random cheque up pre lunch it shows 171 on electronic machine I am very much worried pl suggest morning before tiffen I take 1 and half tab evening before dinner I take 1 tab I am going daily for walking also from last 15 days pl suggest.

Do 1.no alcohol2. Reduce body wt 3. No smoking/ tobacco 4. Diet - no ghee/ butter, have mix of vegetable oils - mustard, til, ground nut, olive oil, have more green vegetables and fruits, have whole grain atta, no fried. Fast. Spicy / processed/ junk food. No sugar, potato, rice 5. 30 mts brisk walk daily 6. Deep breathing exercise for 10 mts daily 7. Meditation daily for 10 mts. 6-8 hrs of sleep at night 8. Expose your body to sun for 15-20 mts daily after some oil massage to get vit d. 9. Take more water- proper hydration. Medicine can not be advised for open question for medicine contact on private chat.
