• Some pain, cramping, less discharge and discomfort during menstrual periods are normal, some 4-5 days irregularity is also normal. However, excessive pain, very less discharge or short interval in menses etc. are hindrances in day today working, the tolerance of pain is also depends on body and mind nature.

After the advent of the internet, the availability of pornography or explicit video material has become widespread. The availability of this material resulted in a large section of the population relying on it for sexual pleasures as well as living their fantasies through the digital realm. Internet porn is the new kid on the block in the world of addiction:

Easy accessibility of porn can give you a quick spike of dopamine through sexual pleasure have resulted in patterns of addiction among many boys and girls. Porn addiction is a phenomenon which has been exacerbated by the easy availability of pornography on the internet. It has not only affected sexual habits such as masturbation, but has also caused hindrances in the daily lives of people and has affecting their relationships.

A brain on porn is similar to a brain on alcohol

While it may seem a bit far-fetched, studies of brain scans have shown that people watching porn experience the same effects or pleasure that alcohol gives them. It is a neural circuit which releases pleasure hormones when you sexually pleasure yourself by masturbating to porn. The reward circuit of the brain recognizes this pattern and starts creating please pathways where you want more of it. As you keep doing it more and more, the resistance level increases and you tend to need more. This is a classic sign of addiction.

Healthy and unhealthy masturbation

Masturbation is a natural and normal process that every human indulges in. However, a brain addicted to porn will use it as an addict uses a substance. Masturbation is the physical act through which the dopamine would be released. Once it has become an addiction, you would either want to have the daily fix for at least a few hours which you would ensure to take out of your daily routine. This time could have been invested in other fruitful activities when it ends up going to the addiction. In some cases, studies have shown that many would rather do it a few times a week but, would spend extended hours masturbating to porn.

Effects of excess masturbation

Some of the effects of porn addiction and excessive masturbation could be

  1. Premature ejaculation problem ( quick masturbation leads to chronic less timing to discharge)
  2. Erectile dysfunction when you are with a partner and in a real life scenario due to dependence on particular porn fantasies
  3. Inability to have or form intimate relationships which are not just sexual but emotional and mental as well
  4. Lethargy to go to work or school due to addiction related problems
  5. Breakdown in relationships, even with family members and friends

Thus, it is imperative that you seek sexologist or sexual counsellor for help to slow down the habit and break the cycle of addiction and ensure that you are able to lead a normal life without disruptions so as to allow yourself to be able to form normal sexual relationships.

In hypothyroidism:-- where there is deficiency of thyroxine hormone leading to sluggishness, tired feeling, weight increase, slow heart beats, intolerance to cold, swelling of legs, feet and face, difficulty in concentrating and at times in speech. Treatment for hypothyroidism is giving thyroxine tablets. Avoid bad habits . Avoid stress. Some Relax during work. Drink more water, high-carbohydrate foods such as potatoes, rice, pasta and bread. Nutrient-rich foods that improve your health may also benefit your thyroid gland, antioxidant-rich fruits and vegetables more plenty of water: Blueberries, tomatoes, bell peppers, and other foods rich in antioxidants can improve overall health and benefit the thyroid gland. How Exercise Can Help In Keeping Your Bones Healthy?

Did you know that in addition to your diet, exercise is one of the best ways to make sure that you never lie on a hospital bed with a surgeon treating you for a bone disorder? As you exercise, your muscles become stronger, your bone density increases and your balance improves. Of course, it goes without saying that you need to follow certain precautions before you exercise to avoid certain injuries.

Before starting any exercise program, make sure that you prepare your body for exercise. A brief warm up helps you to get your muscles ready for exercise. It also makes sure that your chances of injury are drastically reduced.

  1. Weight lifting: Weight lifting is a type of exercise that, if done correctly, will be extremely beneficial for your bones. The premise of yoga is static strength building wherein you hold a pose or an exercise for a certain period of time; this helps in strengthening your muscles. Along with your muscles, your bones also become stronger as you get fitter. Yoga is repetitive stress which is good for flexibility and hence keeps your joints supple and muscles in good shape. There are certain asanas which are weight bearing and anti-gravity postures can strengthen your bones. 

  3. Swimming: Swimming again is a good aerobic exercise and is good for back and over all fitness but doesn't strengthen bone per se. It is a way to keep you healthy. Swimming is a cardiovascular exercise, which is also known for its calorie burning capabilities. It is also very effective is incinerating fat and keeping your skeletal system healthy. Whereas walking and jogging and running certainly build your bones as they are weight bearing exercises.

  4. Pilates: Pilates is a new form of exercise that has been gaining a lot of steam lately. It does not require much equipment, as you can get started with just a mat. It is very effective in working your spine and the hips, thus keeping your lower back strong. A weak lower back increases the chances of bone disorders drastically. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult an orthopedist.

My age is 23. My height is 6 ft. My weight is 80 kg. I had habit of masturbating 5 times daily since 5 years by rubbing penis against bed for hours. From six month I am facing all the symptoms of adrenal gland cancer like frequent urination. Excessive hair growth on whole body. Numbness and tingling in whole body. Hig bp 150/100. High level of headache. Abdominal weight gain. Thickened and excessive hair growth on head and eyebrows. Abdominal pain since last week. Till now I had 4 ultrasound of abdomen in 6 month and one mri of abdomen. Nothing came in it except right renal cortical cyst. Do I have chances of adrenal gland cancer?

Stop thinking about adrenal cancer. Keep faith in your doctor. If reports are coming normal that proves you don't have such problem. Abdominal pain is explained by your cortical cyst it presents with abdominal pain generally. But treatment is symptomatic. Rest of your symptoms may indicate you have high cortisol level in your blood. You may go for a dexamethasone suppresion test. Send the reports when its done. Decrease salt and high water intake. Avoid spicy foods and carbonated drinks. Stop worrying, live your life happily.

Hi Lybrate user, During this phase, the body produces approximately 50% more blood and body fluids to meet the needs of the developing baby. Normal swelling is visible in the hands, face, legs, ankles, and feet. You should not be worried till it is sudden (report it to your gynecologist). Swelling may be experienced at any point during pregnancy, but it tends to be noticed around the fifth month and can increase after the fifth month. Make sure that your blood pressure is controlled. You can help your body during this phase by avoiding standing for long periods, minimize outings when it is hot, rest with elevated feet, wear stockings, avoid tight clothes around wrists or ankles, drink enough water, rest in swimming pool. In diet minimize salt. Eat bananas, avoid caffeine. Use homeopathy, the safest medicine for kids and mothers. Happy pregnancy and safe delivery!

Mala D is quite safe. It is to be taken 1 tab daily by your wife starting from day 1 of periods and starting with the white tab. Then the last 7 days is black iron tab. When black is over to immediately start with white of next packet, irrespective of the period.

1) sexual intercourse - from day 10 to day 18 of your period. 2) do not use any lubricants. 3) sexual intercourse should be in supine position only. 4) take pillow below buttocks keep that for min. 30 minutes after sexual intercourse. 5) do not eat heavy food in that day.

I'm 34 weeks pregnant with second baby, and first baby being 3 years old born in Aug 2013 via Cesarean due to fetal stress (as reports say). Now, doc has advised me 12 mg of Betasol to be taken twice at a gap of 24 hrs interval. Please suggest the reason for this, when I asked my gynae she said it's for High risk factors. Spotting brownish blood and abdominal pain after 7 days of taking ipill. The withdrawal of blood with whitish thing is just a drop. What should I do? It's been 3 days I'm suffering from it. It is harmonal withdrawal bleeding wait for 10 days and do urine pregnancy test, if it is negatve, do not worry.
