rSugars fluctuate depending on the diet, activity, medicine and the stress hormones released in the body. The way your body metabolises your sugar depends on the internal environment .so,it's actually not feasible to check sugars frequently. So,hba1c gives fairly average sugars over a period of 3 months. So,5.5 is good control, u need not worry but follow a balanced diet to me antain the same

Mr Dinesh, Hypothyroidism can affect sexual desire as well can cause erectile dysfunction, particularly if not properly treated. A number of studies have shown that either hyperthyroidism or hypothyroidism does lead to ED, premature ejaculation. But once the condition is treated these defects disappear rapidly. Your TSH level is still very high, it should come down to around 4 milli units/ml as you are on treatment. Current dose of thyroxine needs to be increased a bit further to achieve that.

I ve diabetic retinopathy is their any other medication than laser. Please tell me.
Lybrate-user, laser is used when there is proliferative retinopathy and bleeding (pre- retinal, or vitreal). Because those newly generated vessels which bleed have to be burned. Once that is done, if needed other treatments also can be used like intra vitreal injections. The treating ophthalmologist is the best judge for treatment choice. It better to follow that, as this is a sight threatening condition. Thanks for the question.

Hypothyroidism is a condition in which the thyroid gland is under active and does not produce sufficient amounts of thyroid hormones required in the body. The most cause of hypothyroidism is Hashimoto’s thyroiditis. Hashimoto’s thyroiditis is an auto immune disorder in which the antibodies are produced by the immune system against its own tissue, which in turn attacks the thyroid gland resulting in hypothyroidism.Severe Iodine defficiency can also lead to hypothyroidism . Natural Homeopathic remedies for hypothyroidism are highly effective and especially useful for people who want to avoid the side effects of prescription drugs. Top Homeopathic Remedies for Hypothyroidism Calcarea carb , Sepia ,Lycopodium, Graphites and Nux Vomica are the leading homeopathic remedies for hypothyroidism The normal range of TSH levels is 0.4 to 4.0 milli-international units per liter. You can easily take an online consultation for further treatment guidance and permanent cure without any side effects

If you have been diagnosed of having diabetes, then proper treatment has to be initiated with either oral antidiabetes drugs or insulin depending on sugar levels. In addition a changed life style has to be adapted like - regular exercise every day for more than 1 h, avoiding sweets, direct sugar, deep fried foods, fruits like mango, chikoo, grapes and bananas and also avoid smoking & alcohol. Plus maintain weight near normal (ideal body weight = height in cms - 100 x 0.9 = ibw kg). Waist line should be 85 cms.

So long as you continue vigorous walking, take minimal calories diet every 3 - 4 hrs, you need not take medicines for sugar.
