I have a habit of running but sir due to that my lower portion of back and knees are suffering from pain. So sir suggest me what to do as I stop running or how much I should run.

Wear sports shoes n knee cap for precautions n while running in practicing try to take small step n avoid high jumping. If this is also not helpful then stop running n start fast walking without jumping it will equally n similarly give stamina. Hope this will helpful.

Dear sir, I have a pain in my lower back, when I stand or sit in any position till 10 or more than 10 minute it starts from left side and slowly slowly its reach till upper back. Dr. What should I do? I am 26 year old male.

Kindly show me photograph of the affected part. Rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Kindly take biod3 max 1 tab dailyx10 paracetamol 250mg od & sos x5days do back (spine)/shoulder/knee exercises make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take do not ignore it. It could be beginning of a serious problem. If no relief in 4_5 days, then contact me again.

I am getting back pain when am standing more time and when I was doing walking alsa getting some pain.

First of all check your posture when you are lifting any material like heavy bucket. And try to lift the heavy bucket without bending your back. You may lift the bucket after bending your knees only. This will definitely help you. * gentle massage with lukewarm mustard oil of your waist area will also give you relief. * surya namaskar is only exercise which you need to do. * in diet vegetable protein of cereal, b complex supplements and half teaspoon of haldi in a cup of milk for seven days will give you enough relief.

My mom uses pain killers for knee pains. I want her to use homeopathy. Can she parallel use pain killers and homeopathy. Because as per my understanding homeopathy takes tym to cure the problem. Need clarification regarding this.

My joints are start paining. This pain is gone when I gave rest to that part. Basically I get pain in wrist joint, one of my thumb joint, knee and in my hip. Please guide me is there any major problems.

Identify the mid point between the ankle bone and tendons and give pressure with a blunt edge on either side of your foot for 2 minutes. Also give pressure in the web between 2nd and 3rd finger from your toe for 2 minutes. Finally give a good massage for both feet in hot water. Identify the dipping portion on the back of your knee folding. Press this dip with both middle fingers and hold your knee with your thumbs for support. Please swing 20 times morning and evenings. This will relieve your problem. Consult after 10 days.

I am 48 years old female. I have regular pain in the knee and I have blood pressure below average in routine check ups. I have tried change of diet. Also used calcium and multivitamin tablets for few months. Knee caps are being used daily. But still relief is not there.

You may have thyroid issues or vitamin deficiency or uric acid. Get a check up done. Also, if you have gained weight, then it can cause knee pain. If the knees are swollen and feel heavy, if there is a sound when you sit or get up and doing that is painful, stair climbing is difficult, then it might be the beginning of knee arthritis or other knee joint problem, also resulting in muscle weakness around the knee. So get a orthopedic consultation and a physiotherapy consultation personally.

Pain at bottom of feet in carve since a month. doctor, suggest hot and cold water dip. No much relief. Today I felt fever with backache.

Dear pain in the curve of the foot (the arch) is because of strain (pressure) on it. This is called foot strain. If not treated properly may lead to secondary flat foot (primary is by birth). Do contrast bath as you r already doing, put a soft arch support in your shoe (they are available in special medical shops) and go to a physio for faradic stimulation and do exercises to strengthen the short and long muscles of the foot and ankle. Medicines do not help in this condition. You can take a pain killer sos. You will settle in about 6 weeks time but ct. Execises for 6 months and avoid standing at one place for long hours. Take care.

Do the cat/cow avoid bending in front. Postural correction- sit tall, walk tall. Apply hot fomentation twice daily. Extension exercises x 15 times x twice daily. Bhujang asana. Core strengthening exercises. Back stretchingstretch.

For Leg Pain, please follow the below advise : Keep your leg raised while sitting or lying Quadriceps strengthening exercises- Quad Clenches: Lie flat on your back or sit upright on a chair with leg kept horizontally on another surface. Now, tighten the muscle on the front of the thigh by pushing your knee down. You should feel your thigh muscles clench, Hold for 3 secs. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Short Arcs: Lie flat on your back or sit upright with your leg placed horizontally on a flat surface like a chair or bed. Place a rolled up towel under the knee. Pull your toes towards you and clench you thigh muscles. Slowly lift your foot up off the bed until your knee is straight (keep your knee resting on the towel). Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower them on the chair. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Straight Leg Raise: Lie flat on your back. One leg and knee will be straight and other leg should be bent. Pull your toes towards you and tighten/clench the muscle on the front of the thigh, locking your knee straight. Lift your foot up in the air, about 6 inches off the bed. Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower the leg. The knee must remain straight the whole time you are doing this exercise.

Apart from hot water what you also require is a good shoulder exercises programme wear good mobilization can be done for your shoulder and then after every session of exercises kindly use a cold pack for 20 minutes. This will reduce swelling and will decrease pain. You could progress slowly after 10 days to theraband exercisea and resisted exercises gain which will be told by the physio. Hi, thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. You are very young to actually have persistent neck pains. If you have localized neck pain with no other symptoms like radiating upper limb pain, neurological symptoms like numbness, weakness, paresthesias etc, then you can start with following recommendations for initial period of 2-3 weeks: - to maintain proper posture of your neck while working and sleeping and maintain principles of neck ergonomics especially during work. - if pain is more then you can take a short course of an anti-inflammatory medication like tab etoshine or paracetamol or one which suits you - physical therapy initially under supervision of a trained physiotherapist and then to continue at home - adequate calcium & vitamin d intake if levels are low in body - ice packs can applied if your pain is acute, then hot fomentation can be done at home - analgesic spray for local application can be used and is easily available. We will observe you for next 2-3 weeks how you respond to this conservative management protocol. If you are not feeling better, then we will have to get some investigations like, dynamic x rays of neck region and few blood tests for evaluation. Dear sir hello i had a pain in my right shoulder, there is no pain while you press or doing any work, power is full in both side, but i had feel severe pain, shoulder x-ray done showed normal. Past history 20-25 days back i meet with accident with car i fall down, there is no major hurts. After taking ortho consulatation, physiotherapy consultation was taken and dythermy and ultrasonic was done, but pain is still, please advice what i can i do. Tab. Orthodex MR taking BD.
