My daughter is 3 and a half months. She was born on Dec 1st,14. Her weight is 5.4. As of her health she is a healthy baby. Her growth is good. She is 60 cm. But she didn't become fat at all. Ppl tell she looks like a 45 days old baby. I see other babies are very fat and healthy by this stage. I only breast feed her. No supliments. What to do to make her fat?

M.D.( Pediatrics), DCH
Pediatrician,
You should be happy and congratulate yourself for exclusively breast feeding the child.Breast fed children gain appropriate weight. Fatty babies are usually overfed and form a launching pad for obesity in childhood and adult life. Your baby's weight 5.4 kg & length 60 cms at 3.5 month is within normal range.(Refer to IAP Growth charts for girls) Please don't make her fat you will regret in future.Instead of worrying play, talk and laugh in plenty with her. She will be confident secure adult emotionally.

General Physician,
First of all it is a wrong practice all mothers put their babies to bottle feed instead of giving breast milk (to preserve their beauty of breast!) you check his tsh and cbc and inform privately.

My 2 yr 5 months old son is not sleeping properly since birth. Actually he hesited to refrain from breast feed till now.

MBBS DCH
Pediatrician, Gandhinagar
Breastfeeding should be stopped. Breastfeeding can be given maximum upto two years, after that it doesn't provide any nutrition to your child. Stop feeding and your problem will be solved.

My daughter is six months old. Doctor suggested me to give her top feed (nan pro 2). Which is recommended for 6+ months child. Is it necessary to give the baby this extra supplement other than breast milk. How many times a day should I give top feed to my baby?

Food other than breast milk is necessary as this is the time of weaning period. Beside of kitchen feed and breast milk you can give nan excellapro2 or lactogen2 2 times a day for betterment.
