Red eyes could be because of many reasons but commonly it is due to allergy or infection. You need to visit eye specialist to differentiate between the two as the treatment is different. Also get your eyes checked for any glass power.

There is no medication or food for improving eyesight or to get rid of glasses. If not interested in glasses then you can try a. Contact lens b. Lasik laser as your age is 15 years now, so your number will increase now whether you wear glasses or not as number becomes stable at age of 18-20 yrs. Having said that I advise you to eat balanced diet including green vegetables and seasonal fruits for keeping eyes and body healthy. As you are not comfortable with contact lens then go for lasik. Lasik is a very easy and painless procedure. If you want to get rid of glasses then go for lasik.

My 7 year old son started blinking eye frequently and getting hie eye wet while watching TV and reading. What to do?

MBBS, DOMS
Ophthalmologist, Hyderabad
Is it associated with itching and eye rubbing as well ? If so, it could be a condition called VKC. A detailed examination of the backside of eyelids under a slit lamp microscope will clinch the diagnosis and help in its treatment. Refractive error, correctable by using spectacles or contact lenses could be another common reason. If you wish, you may first try Zyopta eye drops, two times daily and Nefacool eye drops, two times daily, and see if it relieves in few days. Otherwise, It is best to get evaluated by an ophthalmologist.

Hi, don't worry,Homeopathy does offer treatment for eye floaters. there are many medicines available like kali-iod, kali-carb, phosphorus, thuja, suphur, senega, silecia, natrum-mur etc. But the medicine that may help varies from person to person and it’s not possible to tell u what u need without a detailed case analysis. So please share your symptoms in detail for a proper medication.Thanks.

I have red eyes for over 4 days. Whatshould I do. please tell me quick ly. And thanks.
Simple red eyes usually clear by remedies such as washing with plain cold water, applying cold packs to closed eyes, taking a short period of rest, etc. Commonest cause is conjunctivitis, either due to allergy, or due to infection. Allergies can cause itchy, red eyes that appear swollen. Infection, on the other hand, can cause stickiness of the eye lids or eye lashes with some discharge in addition. While the very mild may clear by themselves, others will need specialist treatment.
