Having milk products after meat on chicken is not advisable. Is it a myth? Or is it a true fact?

Dear lybrate-user, milk and meat is considered as an improper combination as per ayurveda. It is not a myth milk and milk products are difficult to digest and the same is applicable with meat. When you take them together it tends to tax your digestive system which due to improper digestion produces toxins. People who eat these combinations frequently tend to suffer from skin diseases, metabolic disorders like diabetes and respiratory diseases.

If you are also suffering for high blood pressure then you have to leave pickle, papad and pouring extra salt. Timely and balanced diet is as important as regular medicine intake to control diabetes. Use sufficient amount of ginger, onion, garlic, coriander, lemon, greenchilli, black paper, fenugreek seeds, cinnamon, bay leaves, in food iteams. Complex carbohydrates and fibre should be included in diet. No long gapes and skipping of meals. Never miss out breakfast. Junk food should be avoided. You should avoid fasting and feasting. Chapattis of bran flour (unrefined) is given to diabetes patients and to increase the nutrition value add gram and soyabean flour to it. Take small and frequent meals. I have a diabetic problem so how I control without insulin and how to cure the diabetic?

Increase thirst, increased frequency of urination are some initial symptoms of diabetes but it can vary from being completely asymptomatic to non specific symptoms like weakness, tingling in feet, dry mouth, blurry vision, burning during urination. You need to follow a healthy lifestyle to prevent such metabolic diseases. Type 1 usually occurs at younger age due to insulin deficiency and treated with insulin injections. Type 2 usually in adults due to insulin resistance and treated with oral medicines. It can't be cured completely but you can keep it controlled by taking these precautions.

I have been suggested doxycycline by a doctor as I took mtp in 20 days of pregnancy after which my bleeding was not stopping. I have taken trenaxa by which bleeding stopped but there is brown discharge approx 2-3 drops in a day .All my symptoms are of STD because my ultrasound and CBC reports are normal .Can you please help me out in this .How can this bleeding be stopped or treated STD. Please tell me medicine and it's dosage with home treatment if any.

How to improve blood circulation by exercise and diet my body is thin and weight is56 Kg and height 170 cm.

1. Eat well – Take a balanced Diet comprising of 45% carbohydrate, 30% protein and 25% fats, plenty of green leafy vegetables, fruits. Don’t over eat. Avoid junk, spicy, oily, high calorie, cholesterol rich diet, don’t skip your breakfast. Take warm, homemade food. Avoid food and drink from outside. Don’t skip or postpone your meal. Minimize consumption of refined grains like white rice, white bread, sugary or refined food. 2. Keep hydrated- Drink 2 liters /6-8 glasses of water daily 3. Do regular exercise for one hour daily like brisk walking/Jugging etc 4. Take adequate rest- 7-8 hours of sound sleep in the night is required to remain healthy 5. Go for fasting once a week. You can go for absolute fasting or rely on a liquid diet to digest ama (toxin). Fasting should be followed by hot fomentation or by taking a bath with lukewarm water or steam bath. After fasting and fomentation, mix powdered long pepper, black pepper and dried ginger in equal quantities and take 1 teaspoon of this powdered mix with lukewarm water twice a day. This will help you restore your digestive fire. Take one tablespoon of castor oil before going to bed, once or twice a week. It helps in cleansing ama (toxin) build up and balancing vata. Mix equal quantities of powdered fenugreek seeds, turmeric and ginger powder. Take one teaspoon daily in the morning and evening. For dry fomentation of the affected joints, take a cloth and fold it into four, fill it with hot and sand make a potli (bag) out of it. Use this bundle for the fomentation of different joints. This is very helpful in reducing pain and swelling.

Postural Correction- Sit Tall, Walk Tall. Extension Exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times. Bhujang Asana – Lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily. Core Strengthening Exercises- Straight Leg Raised With Toes Turned Outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Back Stretching- lie flat, pull one of the knee forward to chest, hold for 3 seconds, then bring the other knee forward to the chest and again hold for 3 seconds. Then pull both knees towards the chest and hold for 3 seconds. Repeat 10 times each exercise twice a day.

I am 26 year old my good cholesterol level is 30. How to increase without medicines?

Hello dear High cholesterol can cause atherosclerotic heart disease or narrowed coronary arteries in the heart can cause the symptoms of angina, when theheart muscle is not provided with enough oxygen to function. Decreased blood supply to the brain may be due to narrowed small arteries in the brain or because the larger carotidarteries in the neck may become blocked. This can result in a transient ischmic attack or stroke. Peripheral artery disease describes gradual narrowing of the arteries that supply the legs. During exercise , if the legs do not get enough blood supply, they can develop pain , called claudication . Other arteries in the body may also be affected by plaque buildup causing them to narrow, including the mesenteric arteries to the intestine and the renal arteries to the kidney. Change life style .do meditation,yoga, Go walk daily, do any one physically activity daily any game., Avoid fast foods,oily foods,junk foods,alcohol,smoking,fatty foods, non-veg.,avoid stress,take plenty of water in day time. And 1 glass of water before bed at night. use flax oil, omega-3 fatty meal or cap., take .green veg., whole grain. garlic,. Take anti cholesterol medicines .

Hi for reduced weight you should work out as per you consume calories and it will take time just continue work out. Take following remedies for loosing weight 1. Arogya vardhini vati 2 tab before lunch and dinner 2. Abhayarishta 4 tsp before lunch nad dinner 3. Morning break fast=mung dal green soup 1 boul and if feel hunger have pomegranate or apple 4. Lunch 2 chaati + fruit vegetable + if you like rice 1 bowl and dal + barley soup 5. Evening 4-5 pm have some milk with sunth or any fruit you like 6. Dinner barley soup 2 bowl and one fruit follow this diet you will get reduced weight.

Using peels can make your skin sensitive to sun. I would rather suggest you to use glycolic acid based face wash which will exfoliate your skin but lightly and won't do any harm.

Hello lybrate-user It seems to be Tan. Tan refers to the skin darkening due to exposure to the UV radiation of the sun In many regions, tanning is often done intentionally by sun bathing or other artificial methods Symptoms. • Darkening of the affected skin • Presence of blisters in severe cases Causes: • Sun exposure facilitates production of vitamin D • Excessive sun exposure can cause: Sunburn Weak immune system • Exposure to the sun damages melanin leading to brief skin darkening Remedies Gram Flour Gram flour is very useful in treating a sun tan as it helps remove dead skin cells and leaves your skin bright and young. You can use the gram flour powder available in MARKET or make a paste of whole green gram. Mix the gram flour in water and rub it all over the affected skin area. Wait 20 minutes before washing if off with water. Do this twice a week for a few months. For best results, use rose water instead of plain water. You can also mix some lime juice and yogurt into the paste. 6. Cucumber Cucumber juice also helps reduce a sun tan. Cucumbers have a cooling effect that soothes the skin and helps eliminate a suntan. The vitamin C in cucumbers also will help keep the skin well moisturised. Mix two tablespoons of fresh cucumber juice and one tablespoon of lime juice. Add a pinch of turmeric to it. Mix it well and apply it on the affected skin. Leave it for 30 minutes and then wash it off with water. Can also rub freshly cut slices of cucumber on your skin. 7. Milk Milk or milk cream can also be used for treating sun tanned skin. Put a small amount of milk in a bowl and add a pinch of turmeric and some lemon juice. Apply this solution on the affected areas and allow it to dry completely. Then wash it off with water. This will give you an instant relief from a sun tan. You can also soak a pinch of saffron in fresh milk cream overnight. In the morning, stir it well and apply it on the affected skin areas. This will lighten your complexion and make your skin glow. 8. Sandalwood Sandalwood is a common ingredient in many beauty products. It can also be used for removing a sun tan due to its skin lightening and anti-ageing properties. So, it cleanses your skin and helps you maintain a glowing complexion. Mix equal amounts of sandalwood powder and pure turmeric powder. Add some rose water to make a thick paste. Apply the paste on the affected areas and leave it on for 30 minutes or until it dries. Wash it offusing cold water. Do this twice a week. Can also mix sandalwood powder with coconut OIL and almond oil to make a paste to apply on the affected areas. 9. Almond A paste made from almonds will cleanse, scrub and lighten your skin tone. Soak five to six almonds in water overnight. In the morning, blend the almonds with some milk to make a paste. Before bed, apply this paste on the affected areas and leave it on overnight. In the morning, wash it off with cold water. Do this daily for the first 15 days and then repeat it twice a week. 10. Oatmeal Powder Oatmeal has skin-soothing properties and also works as a wonderful exfoliant to cleanse the pores. Thus, oatmeal powder can be used in a couple of ways to reduce a sun tan. Prepare a mixture of oatmeal powder and buttermilk. Rub it onto the tanned areas. The oats will help ex foliate the skin, and the buttermilk will soothe the skin. Can also make a paste with oatmeal powder, ground almonds, ground dried orange peel and milk. Apply the paste on the affected areas and leave it on for 30 minutes. Then wash it off with cold water. Can use these remedies to help reduce sun tanned skin. Be sure also to protect your skin from sun exposure. Tips To Prevent Sun Tan: 1. Cover your hands properly before stepping out in the sun to avoid direct impact. 2. If you can’t cover them, then apply a good sunscreen to keep the skin protected. Apply a sunscreen with at least SPF 30 liberally and half an hour before sun exposure. If you skip sunscreen because you sweat a lot, look for a ‘non-comedogenic’ one as this will not clog your pores. 3. Drink lots of water. This helps you to keep your skin hydrated from inside out, thus reducing the risk of the skin drying. It increases the cell turnover and lets your skin rejuvenate and renew itself. 4. Moisturise your hands, that is, hydrate your skin externally too by applying a moisturiser that contains natural fruit acids on a regular basis. This will aid tan removal from the skin.
