If you are targeting to reduce tummy, then pomegranate juice after workout is not a good option as the natural sugar content is too high. You should rather take mausmi juice as vitamin C helps in melting down the fat.

Hi, I am being recommended by a couple of friends to take reeshape 60 as a tablet to loose weight. Can I take that for a while. Or if there is any other good medicine that anyone can suggest. Secondly any good ayurvedic capsule for intake of caffeine to take before exercise. Thx

HI, One shoe size does not fit all. Similarly one diet or any recommendation from others should not be taken personally unless given by any expert. these tablets shall give you temporary results unless you are willing to take them for life time. What works best is a healthy diet and exercise programe specially designed for you. If you can include a good pre workout meal approx 30-45 mins before workout caffeine should not be required.

5 Foods That Aid in Weight Loss

The key to a healthy and happy life is to keep your body weight under control. Obesity acts as a catalyst to several diseases. People with too many extra pounds are more prone to heart disease, stroke, diabetes, cancer, and depression. But, what’s the best way of shedding off the unwanted pounds? Well, an effective weight loss programme is not just about sweating it out on the treadmill. A balanced diet is essential for a healthy body.

Besides, there are certain foods that enhance the process of weight loss. These foods have high thermogenic value, i.e. ability to burn a good amount of calories. Here are five foods that can give you the perfect body that you always crave for:

  1. Moong dal: It is every Indian's favourite whichever class he/she belongs to. This dal is full of Vitamin A, B, C and E and many minerals, such as calcium, iron and potassium. It is often advised by dieticians to replace fatty foods with Moon dal as it is a weight loss food that is rich in proteins and fibre, so one feels fuller after having a bowl of dal for a long time and curbs your cravings. Hi Lybrate user, According to your height your weight is ok. Your BMI is 23. 1 kg/m2 (Normal. There is no magic diet for belly fat. But when you lose weight on any diet, belly fat usually goes first. But it depends how much you are physically active. So try to increase fiber in your diet like fruits, vegetables, salad and complex carbohydrate like oats, daliya ect. Take small & frequent meal. (2 major meals & 2-3 small meals/ snacks). More & more green leafy vegetables & salad. Avoid simple sugar & simple carbs. Do not take outside foods/ fried/ deep fried foods. Drink sufficient water 2-3 liter/day. Get at least 40-50 minutes of moderate exercise/day. You can increase crunches, side & twist crunches, Bicycle exercise etc specially for flat tummy. Change food habites. Avoid too oily, ghee prepretions (kachory, samasa, aalubada, namkin) take simpal veg food with salad. Do arobic excersices, yoga, fast walking. After dinner walk slowly 1km daily will help to you. Doctor fitness is hard start from today.

First you should follow low calories food for weight loss. * in morning, take 1-2 chapattis with a bowl of cooked green vegetables. You can take a glass of lemon water with it. *in lunch you can take a bowl of raw vegetables like carrot, radish, tomatoes, turnip or beetroot. *in evening, you can take a cup of green tea only with some pieces of friuts like apple, pineapple, pear. Avoid taking banana or mango. *in dinner, you can take vegetable soup or a bowl of cooked vegetables. But do not take potato, sweet potatoes. * you can take a cup skimmed milk 4 times a week only during day time. * work out for atleast 1 hour in morning, you can try skipping for 15 minutes with a walk of 30 minutes and 5-10 minutes running. Follow these exercises in the morning - * lie down on flat surface, raise your legs without bending your knees, do it for 3-5 times daily. * do not eat fastfoods and soft drinks, as they have high calories and the calories deposit in body in the form of weight if not utilised.

Hello You need to understand the concept of weight loss. It's a gradual process that requires cut down in calories under the guidance of a dietitian and regular exercise. Don't skip breakfast. Sleep for 7-9 hours per night. Avoid fried foods, sweets, carbonated drinks and processed foods. Include whole grains, sprouts, seasonal fruits and vegetables, salad vegetables like cucumber, kakri, onion, tomato etc. Include green tea 4-5 times a day. Drink plenty of water. Take flaxseed powder 1 tsp with lukewarm water on empty stomach. Take 3 main meals and 2 side meals. Thank you

Hi Priya, The first thing which you should do right after getting up in morning is eat a healthy and wholesome breakfast (no lemon water, green or purple tea plz).This is because our bodies are at 8-9 hours of fasting when we get up,it needs real food to start up its metabolism(fat burning is also a metabolic reaction,which can't be accomplished without food). Eat poha/dosa/idli/paratha/upma/chila or anything you like to eat. you can go and exercise after that. walk is no exercise if you want to reduce weight. Please run/dance/swim/cycle or anything you enjoy. bear it in mind that it shoal be a bit challenging to your body. Start slow and be persistent. To reduce belly fat you need to be particular about food choices & timings. Eat small & frequent meals. Include high fiber foods in your diet such as whole cereals & whole pulses. Drink plenty of water. Avoid refined foods from your diet such as maida, pasta. Keep check on your food intake.

Please do treadmill for at least 45-60 minutes daily. Keep moving as much as you can whenever you can. Keep meal portions small especially if they’re cooked. Limit your food intake which SHOULD be and ONLY be 4 times a day. Avoid sedentary life/night watching/junk foods.

If you are having varicose veins 1. Do regular exercise, reduce weight if over weight, 2.Avoid tight cothing, 3.Avoid prolonged standing/sitting 3. Keep the leg elevated while sleeping, sitting 4.consult surgeon for further advice Treatment 1.Compression stocking If no relief 2.sclerotherapy, 3.Laser surgery or vein stripping. 4.
