Dear lybrate-user, namaskar, this seems to be the begining of osteoarthritis of your knee joints which is not curable. Because this is aging. You can not stop your car tyres to wear and tear. And you can't stopdegenerating your body. If you are living. Visit an orthopadic surgeon in your vicinity for proper assesment, management and guidance. Take care.

Hello apply prasarini oil or pranacharya restopain oil on your affected part and give hot water fomentation .take yograj guggul and agni tundi vati after lunch and dinner with warm water. Take maha rasnadi kwath 2-2 tsf twice a day. Take pranacharya vatari capsule and syrup twice a day. Avoid fermented food. Junk food.

Core strengthening exercises- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Back stretching- lie flat, pull one of the knee forward to chest, hold for 3 seconds, then bring the other knee forward to the chest and again hold for 3 seconds. Then pull both knees towards the chest and hold for 3 seconds. Repeat 10 times each exercise twice a day.

Hello, ask your mother to follow these advice- 1. Take plenty of luke warm water (8-10 glasses per day). 2. Add some baking soda in the water, it will decrease your uric acid level so that you will get relief in backache spontaneously. 3. Brisk walk in the morning is must. 4. Perform some back strengthening exercises, which i'll explain you in the next session. Till then you have to modify you life style. Wish you a happy life.

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. Actually decision in a knee depends upon a thorough clinical examination for all structures and then correlating findings with mri of affected knee. My take on this is: I think you should go for a diagnostic arthroscopy and then proceed. This will help in 2 ways, first we can see all structures inside ot with our own eyes and see for complete tears and laxity. Complete acl tear ar your age will require a reconstruction arthroscopically, lateral meniscus can be balanced and managed. Do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance.

Apply Hot Fomentation twice daily. Avoid bending in front. Postural Correction- Sit Tall, Walk Tall. Extension Exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times. Bhujang Asana – Lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. At your age the muscles start becoming weak, that results in instability of joints, resulting in pain. I suggest you learn yoga from a qualified trainer. It will give strength to your muscles. Along with yoga daily fast walking for 45 minutes will help you to remain healthy for rest of your life. Also you must increase intake of protein and calcium in your diet.
