The pain may be due to tight muscles in legs such as calf, hamstrings and quadriceps. Try doing stretches for the leg muscles. Avoid prolong standing. Sometimes leg pain may be referred from low back. Hot and cold therapy can also help relax muscles. Wish you speedy recovery.

Hi ~apply cold pack for 20 minutes thrice a day for 5 days. ~do stretching and strengthening exercise of hamstring, quadriceps, and calf muscles ~you can also start physiotherapy treatment as you with electrotherapy you will get relief in pain and swelling whereas exercise will improve strengthen and pain free rom. wishing you a good health.

Postural correction- sit tall, walk tall. Extension exercises x 15 times x twice daily. Apply hot fomentation twice daily. Avoid bending in front.

Hot fomentation. Gentle shoulder stretching. Core strengthening exercises. Gentle neck exercises. Avoid sleeping on affected side. Warm up and cool down is a must. Hot fomentation. Use cervical pillow.

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. For your back pain: if you have localized back pain with no other symptoms like radiating leg pain, neurological symptoms like numbness, weakness, paresthesias etc, then you can start with following recommendations for initial period of 2-3 weeks: - to maintain proper posture of your back while working and sleeping - if pain is more then you can take a short course of an anti-inflammatory medication like tab etoshine or paracetamol or one which suits you - physical therapy initially under supervision of a trained physiotherapist and then to continue at home - adequate calcium & vitamin d intake if levels are low in body - ice packs can applied if your pain is acute, then hot fomentation can be done at home - analgesic spray for local application can be used and is easily available. - avoid lifting heavyweight/ acute forward bending in mornings etc we will observe you for next 2-3 weeks how you respond to this conservative management protocol. If you are not feeling better, then we will have to get some investigations like, dynamic x rays of lower back and few blood tests for evaluation. For legs pain: actually pain at calf/leg region can be due to many reasons, commonly it is muscular in nature but it can also be due to tendons, nerves, blood vessels etc. My advise to you for initial 2-3 weeks will be: - ice packs application intensively with elevation of your limbs at night - take a short course of anti-inflammatory medication as per your body's suitability - stop your physical activity till pain completely subsides - intensive physical therapy, training and proper muscle conditioning once pain has subsided - slow resumption of physical activities with proper pre activity warm up and stretching of muscles and short increments in duration of physical activity each day as per pain tolerance. - we will get some blood tests for you - serum vitamin d and serum potassium levels, esr and crp once you have all these reports then you can contact me as I can advise you for proper supplementation do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance.

If you are on treatment for hypothyroidism, then tsh should be be around 3 to 4 mu/l, to get rid od all symptoms as well as efforts to reduce weight to succeed. Even regular periods will be seen if tsh level is maintained as mentioned. So please see that your tsh is in that range. Thanks.

MRI show in the report-" Para central extrusion L5-S1 disc is seen causing ventral thecal sac compression in left half likely exiting nerve root compression on same side. Hi you are having a disc bulge which is compressing you nerve root. This might have happen due to some exertion or repitative stress on your lower back region which also have caused muscle spasm. Hence for now just take some hot packs twice daily

Hi After night's sleep, while getting up from bed in the morning besides getting up from sofa/chair after sitting for an hour, I feel a pain and feeling of block for a while below the chest and upper abdomen. It vanishes once I get into routine.

Morning stiffness in back & other joints is quite a common condition. Rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Any way take bio d3 max 1tab odx10days ibuprofen 200mg od & sos x 5days do back (spine) exercises contact me again if need be. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take.

No. Laparoscopy is just a diagnostuc process. By this you may not get relief in your compalin. It will increase day by day. You need homoeopathic medicine. It will repair internally. Endometriosis. Advice. Avoid sitting cross legged. Ankle stretching. Ankle strengthening exercises. Avoid squatting. Quadriceps exercises. Core strenthening exercises. Stretch calves get a custom made insole. Hams stretching. Sports taping. Hot fomentation.

Hi you have osteophyte formation in your bone -pls go for bone density test. Calcium and uric acid -starts icing proper your knee joint for 7-10 min daily -avoid prolong standing take care.

Hand exercise dear, you can do it, 1 Make a Fist Hand and finger exercises can help strengthen your hands and fingers, increase your range of motion, and give you pain relief. Stretch only until you feel tightness. You shouldn't feel pain. Start with this simple stretch: •Make a gentle fist, wrapping your thumb across your fingers. •Hold for 30 to 60 seconds. Release and spread your fingers wide. •Repeat with both hands at least four times. Finger Stretch Try this stretch to help with pain relief and to improve the range of motion in your hands: •Place your hand palm-down on a table or other flat surface. •Gently straighten your fingers as flat as you can against the surface without forcing your joints. •Hold for 30 to 60 seconds and then release. •Repeat at least four times with each hand. Claw Stretch This stretch helps improve the range of motion in your fingers. •Hold your hand out in front of you, palm facing you. •Bend your fingertips down to touch the base of each finger joint. Your hand should look a little like a claw. •Hold for 30 to 60 seconds and release. Repeat at least four times on each hand. Grip Strengthener This exercise can make it easier to open door knobs and hold things without dropping them. •Hold a soft ball in your palm and squeeze it as hard as you can. •Hold for a few seconds and release. •Repeat 10 to 15 times on each hand. Do this exercise two to three times a week, but rest your hands for 48 hours in between sessions. Don't do this exercise if your thumb joint is damaged. I hope apka hand acha or majbut ho jayga

Actually to be honest with you, there is no connection of back region with your left hand unless the posture you are adopting is bad which is leading to stresses on your spine. Kindly tell me in detail about your back pain which means duration of pain and mode of onset and site of pain. I would also like to ask you if it is associated with any leg pain or any other neurological symptoms like numbness, paraesthesias (electrical shock like abnormal sensations) or any weakness in limbs. Please also tell me about any associated symptoms like fever, weight loss etc. What medications you generally take and what has been your treatment history till now for existing problem.
