The problem is known as tachyarrythmia. It can be dangerous. First you need to identify the type of tachyarrythmia. Get a holter monitoring or elr (extended holter) done. Usually it is identified by them. If not then you may require a mini eps study to know the cause. The treatment depends upon the diagnosis. Consult with your physician /cardiologist.

Hello dear High triglycerides and cholesterol can cause atherosclerotic heart disease or narrowed coronary arteries in the heart can cause the symptoms of angina, when theheart muscle is not provided with enough oxygen to function. Decreased blood supply to the brain may be due to narrowed small arteries in the brain or because the larger carotidarteries in the neck may become blocked. This can result in a transient ischmic attack or stroke. Peripheral artery disease describes gradual narrowing of the arteries that supply the legs. During exercise , if the legs do not get enough blood supply, they can develop pain , called claudication . Other arteries in the body may also be affected by plaque buildup causing them to narrow, including the mesenteric arteries to the intestine and the renal arteries to the kidney. Change life style .do meditation, yoga, Go walk daily, do any one physically activity daily i.e.play any game., Avoid fast foods, oily foods, junk foods, alcohol, smoking, fatty foods, non-veg.,avoid stress, take plenty of water in day time. And 1 glass of water before bed at night. use flax oil, omega-3 fatty meal or cap., take .green veg., whole grain. Garlic,. Cod liver oil. Take anti cholesterol medicines . Cap. Ecosprin gold-10 at night daily.

Dear It appears you are stressed. Blood cholesterol is not related to food and heart attack, a recent study has proved this. Stress management courses will help. Curtail your intake of proteins. Thus may help in managing uric acid levels. Efforts to improve inner strength are important. Vm.

Hi, lybrate-user. The alternative to medicine is called lifestyle measures, which are as follows. 1. Salt restriction: no added salt, no fried or salty item: daily limit 2.5 gm of sodium. 2. Weight control: by diet and exercise 3. Daily exercise: aerobic or light wt training: daily 30 min. 4. Stop smoking 5. Avoid stress and anxiety 6. Avoid alcohol or atleast moderate intake if you like to drink. 7. Sleep adequately 8. Correct any sleep disordered breathing like snoring 9. Eat healthy balaced diet 10. Avoid pollution if you can do these regularly and persistently then you can control your bp to some extent. Remember your goal should be controlling bp with or without medicines. Thank you and good luck.

Hi I am 37 Years old and my TRIGLYCERIDES is 361 and Vitamin D is 8.24 I am under any threat.

C.S.C, D.C.H, M.B.B.S
General Physician,
Hi I am 37 Years old and my TRIGLYCERIDES is 361 and Vitamin D is 8.24 I am under any threat.
Guidelines for triglyceride levels: Normal levels: Less than 150 milligrams per deciliter. Borderline high: 150 to 199. High: 200 to 499. Triglycerides are a type of fat found in your blood. But high triglycerides might raise your risk of heart disease and may be a sign of metabolic syndrome. Metabolic syndrome is the combination of high blood pressure, high blood sugar, too much fat around the waist, low HDL ("good") cholesterol, and high triglycerides. Take triglyceride-lowering drugs. If your triglycerides are very high (500 mg/dL or above), your doctor might recommend a medication shown to lower triglycerides, such as fibrates, niacin, omega-3s (a prescription form called Lovaza is approved for lowering triglycerides) or statins. The most accurate way to measure how much vitamin D is in your body is the 25-hydroxyvitamin D blood test. A level of 20 nanograms/milliliter to 50 ng/mL is considered adequate for healthy people. A level less than 12 ng/mL indicates vitamin D deficiency. You get more sunlight and eat Foods that provide vitamin D include: Fatty fish, like tuna, mackerel, and salmon. Foods fortified with vitamin D, like some dairy products, orange juice, soy milk, and cereals. Beef liver. Cheese. Egg yolks.

Hypertension: Causes, Risk Factors and Treatment

Hypertension: Causes, Risk Factors and Treatment

Hypertension or high blood pressure can be defined as a condition wherein the thrust of the blood against the walls of the arteries is excessively high, thereby increasing chances of health hazards. The amount of blood that is pumped by the heart and the resistance put up by the arteries usually determine one’s blood pressure count. For instance, if the heart pumps excess amount of blood while the arteries shrink, the blood pressure can soar high. High blood pressure or hypertension may give rise to symptoms such as nosebleeds, short breaths or headaches.

Causes:
There are two types of hypertension, one is primary and the other is secondary. For essential or primary hypertension, there is no significant reason and the condition slowly develops over years. The secondary one appears all of a sudden as a result of a repressed condition such as thyroid or kidney problems, defective blood vessels and certain medications such as pain-killers, cold relievers, pills for birth control and others.

Other factors responsible for hypertension are:

  1. Age: The risks increase over the years
  2. Family history
  3. Being obese or overweight
  4. Being physically inactive
  5. Consuming too much of sodium or salt in your diet
  6. Little intake of potassium and Vitamin D in meals
  7. Being subject to high levels of stress
  8. Chronic medical disorders such as diabetes
  9. Alcohol or drug abuse

Treatments:

Medications:

  • Thiazide diuretics can be administered. These help to flush out excess water and sodium from the body in order to reduce excessive volume of blood thrusting against the arteries.
  • Beta blockers: They ease the workload of the heart by opening up the blood vessels.
  • Angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors help inhibit the production of chemicals narrowing the blood vessels
  • Angiotensin II receptor blockers (ARBs) are used to obstruct and curb the action of the chemicals contracting the blood vessels
  • Calcium channel blockers help to loosen the blood vessel muscles
  • Renin inhibitors can delay the production of an enzyme called ‘renin’ by the kidneys that increase one’s blood pressure

Lifestyle Changes:

  • One should follow a well-balanced diet that comprises of less salt.
  • There is no substitute to regular exercises. Exercising regularly helps one maintain a balanced body weight that further reduces the chances of this condition.
  • Abstaining from smoking and limiting alcohol intake helps provide that holistic cover to all the treatment modes mentioned above.

For the last 04 months I have got abnormal heart beat together with nerve beat. This has happened 04 times since Oct. 15. No chest pain experienced nor any kind of giddiness. Doctor told that some nerve is giving current and unless it is identified, the palpitation will keep taking place. It is also noted that BP also fluctuating and a 25 my tablet has been prescribed and am taking same since 03 months. It is stated by doctor that it is not a heart disease. I hv been regular smoker for past 30 years. Now hv stopped smoking/drinking. Facing jammed of lungs, especially of left lung. Mucus from left lung moving within inside and I feel as if some liquid is moving inside when I take a sleep on the bed. Eco done by doctor states normal functioning of heart. The cause abnormal heart beat and abnormal beating of pulse is not known. For the past one month the average BP is 115_72. Pulse below 55. What is this syndrome and what to be the treatment. Pls advise both.

you are having tachycardia may be due to nervousness, stress, strain, and anxiety neurosis.. as you have checked up your heart and lung xray normal.your blood pressure is within nor!mal limits but you are having bradycardia means low pulce rate may be fight from beginning which some people have it or it could be by medicine like beta blocker for hypertension where the pulse rate low.smoking causes deposit of nicotine in the lung alveoli. which is very vital for respiratory system. so don't smoke it will be alright.

First thing you should do is to get rid off anxiety and stress as those are main offenders in many. You can try any of the following methods. You can do squeeze and stop technique. You can stimulate your partner to maximum before getting yourself stimulated. You can deviate your thought to something nonsexual when you about to near ejaculation. You can put on a condom or condom with anesthetic which will decrease the excessive stimulation on penis and there by prevent premature ejaculation. Hope this may help you. Let me know if you have any further query.

It takes time as what treatment you are taking is right till now as per your test reports, tinnitus and vertigo is very common these days in any age group due to excess of noise exposure and damage to inner ear, humming sound, whistling and giddiness are the problems which are getting in people are very common these days, these get complicated when they are not taken care of at proper time whistling or buzzing in the ear is getting commoner these days in people of all ages. Most common causes is wax or any object in the ear, after getting your ears clean these gets over. But if ears are already clean than this is worrisome. Common causes which are responsible are high cholesterol diet, alcohol, smoking, loud noises, cervical spondylosis, trauma (self or inflicted) over the ears. If this is the situation than report to your ent doctor immediately tinnitus is basically due to hampered blood supply to ears due to which ears start dying. As this process starts a person starts hearing noises. When a person starts hearing noises then it is already late diagnosis as these noises gets heard by someone when they are of 40 db intensity, below that threshold these noises are not heard. So it is already to late and the damage has become permanent. Problem with these noises are that we can control at what level person goes to his specialist otherwise these noises keep on increasing and can give you headache frustration and depression.
