Recently got married But not sure as why is my wife unable to conceive Is that because I often masturbate and also have sex Or is it something else? For her to conceive how many days I should be ideal without having sex.

MD - Obstetrtics & Gynaecology
Gynaecologist, Mumbai
To get pregnant you need to have regular sex i. E. 3-4 times a week for one full year before you start seeking medical help. If you want to make her pregnant fast then you can follow this calender method. If a women’s menstrual cycle varies from 26days to 31days cycle, The shortest cycle (26 days) minus 18 days = 8th day. The longest cycle (31 days) minus 10 days=21st day Thus, 8th to 21st day of each cycle counting from first day of menstrual period is considered as fertile period.

My daughter is suffering from chronic cold continuously for past 4 years. Tried every type of medication ie allopathy, homeopathy, ayurveda, but nothing worked. She is 11 years old and is now frustrated with this. Pl help.

BHMS, Master of Science in Pharmaceutical Medicine
Hello, please give her vit d 60, 000 stat every week for a month. In children calcium balance is important any discrepancy in calcium level leads to cold. We would start a low dose calcium (homoeopathic med) if complaint persist after a month.

The treatment of Diabetes is not that simple. There are many classes of Diabetic Drugs. It depends on extent of Diabetes and complications to decide medicine for the Diabetic person. Dosages are also decided upon depending on your acute and chronic sugar levels, fasting sugar levels, post prandial sugar levels, urine sugar levels, urine MICROALBUMIN levels, urea and creatinine levels. Here is the list of Tests, please get them done and follow up with me. I will do the best and give you a proper treatment. 1. HBA1C. 2. SUGAR - Fasting and PP. 3. Urine - Routine and MICROSCOPY. 4. General Physician, Faridabad
Hi From the complaints mentioned you seem to be suffering from what is known as Smoker's Cough. Although quitting smoking is the only way you can stop a smoker’s cough, but there are 6 quick ways you can help your body heal more effectively, relieve some of the irritation, and temporarily stop smoker’s cough. Some of the treatments you can do to feel a little better include the following: 1. Drink enough water (gargling with warm saline can also provide relief from an irritant throat) 2.Just add honey: Adding a little honey to your tea or just consuming a teaspoon full of it plain can really soothe your throat – and it tastes good, too. 3. Use throat lozenges 4. Sleep with your head slightly elevated 5. Eat healthy and exercise. All in all, it’s very important to get away from the smokes if you want to stop smoker’s cough.

Bleeding in inner part means you are having some problems there- infection, trauma, tumour, phimosis etc. Please don't suffer silently and if you ignore it, it may give you lots of troubles in future. Get it checked by doctor, avoiding any shame and embarrassment and get it cured so that there is no bleeding.

Is masturbating harmful to health I'm not sure it's healthy can you let me know some measures.

Dear Lybrate user. I can understand. Masturbation is normal, natural and never unhealthy. Even animals do masturbate. As a human being, you are also an animal. Every animal has sexual instinct because they are designed to reproduce. Human being also has sexual instinct and therefore he needs to satisfy sexual instinct. Therefore, to satisfy sexual instinct, a man or woman, masturbates. In any case, masturbation is never unhealthy or will never affect your physical or sexual health or it cannot affect your future sex life and the ability to have children. Masturbation cannot affect your growth or cause pimples or cause hair fall or cause shrinkage of penis or loss of vital nutrients etc. You should try to reduce the masturbation frequency to thrice a week and continue masturbation. You can be sure; there are no side effects to masturbation if you are able to restrict it to thrice a week. Jogging and physical exercise are always good to keep you fit and stop worrying about sex and allied thinking. I suggest online sex counseling and therapy. Take care.
