Lybrate-user, looking at thyroid test result, it is quite normal. There is no hypothyroidism. Your bmi is 24.59 kgs/m2 (normal <23 kgs/m2). Showing a slight excess weight about 4 kgs. The reason for hair fall may some thing other than hypothyroidism. It is better to consult a skin specialist. Follow the guidelines that will be given. Thanks.

I am suffering from goitre. what should I included specifically in my diet? Please help me.
Take diet for hypothyroidism:- high-carbohydrate foods such as potatoes, rice, pasta and bread, Nutrient-rich foods that improve your health may also benefit your thyroid gland, antioxidant-rich fruits and vegetables more plenty of water: Blueberries, tomatoes, bell peppers, and other foods rich in antioxidants can improve overall health and benefit the thyroid gland. Eating foods high in B vitamins, like whole grains, may also help. flax oil, Selenium: Tiny amounts of selenium are needed for enzymes that make thyroid hormones to work properly. Eating selenium-rich foods, such as sunflower seeds or Brazil nuts, can be beneficial. Tyrosine: This amino acid is used by the thyroid gland to produce T3 and T4. Taking a supplement may help, Avoid few foods in hypothroidism i.e. caffeine products tea, coffee, tabcco, alcohol / wine , kale, broccoli, spinach, mustard green, cabbage, turnip, millet, cassava, linseeds, pine nuts, soy products as soy milk, tofu, soybeans, soy souce, also avoid stress. Take Some Relax during work. Proper follow up you can feel better and reduce weight also.

Reduce your oil/ghee intake, reduce fried items and non-veg foods. Avoid starchy foods like potato, rice, etc. Increase your fiber intake by increasing your green leafy vegetables. Fish, flax seeds, citrus fruits, sprouts will all help in reducing your cholesterol.

The diet that you take should provide exact amount of calories based on ideal body weight and extent of daily exercise being done. You should avoid soy beans, soy containing products, cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, radish, peanuts, mustard and coffee. Consume more of green leafy vegetables, salads and fruits. Use whole grain flour for chapati and roti. As regards exercise any exercise that you enjoy is good enough.

Improvement in ef from second stenting depends upon whether your husband had viable myocardium. I am sure your doctors must have discussed this with you and tested for the same. Further course of action will depend upon success of second stenting. If ef doesn't improve he may need icd implantation in future. Hope your husband recovers soon. Good luck.

FBS above 126 is confirmed Diabetes. In your case its 154 hence you have to take medicines. The meds will be prescribed by a Physician or Diabetologist. Meds can't be given online like this. If this is the beginning. It may be possible to reverse your Diabetes through controlled diet + exercise. Best is to immediately consult a doctor.

lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. Diabetes if not well controlled or some times even with fairly well controlled glucose levels, can cause fungal infection leading to vaginitis. Only vaginal wash may not be beneficial. First and foremost is to achieve a strict blood glucose control with FBG < 100 mg, PP 150 to 160 mg & HbA1c% <6.8. I am not aware how good glucose control you have as nothing is mentioned. Plus you may have to take an antifungal drug for some time. Plus looking at your weight and height I notice that with a BMI of 26.41 kgs /M2 you are overweight. That also adds to bad glucose control. In this communication we are supposed to provide only general guidelines, no prescriptions are allowed. So you will have to come in a private conversation for specific treatment advice. Thanks.
