Most of the people wash off shampoo immediately after its application or keep the shampoo in the hair for very long. They think prolonged application of shampoo in hair will benefit hair. But the fact is that the contact time of shampoo to hair should be around five minutes, neither less nor more. This allows appropriate time for cleaning of dirt in the hair

Homeopath,
I am having scars on my skin. On right hand. Please give some suggestion.
Hello, apply homoeopathic - thiosinaminum ointment to your scar in a thin layer or else you can use thiosinaminum q few drops mixed in a glycerin solution on scars that are visible (as it is less greasy, so is more easily absorbed into the skin. Also take causicum 200 orally once a week for 2 weeks, to dissolve large, extensive scars. The oral dose supports the action of the topical application.

Patches of Baldness? It Could Be this Type of Alopecia!

Find Out the Type of Alopecia the Bald Patches Might Be Indicating

Alopecia Areata is the most prominent kind of alopecia that causes hair fall. It happens if your immune system attacks the hair follicles, resulting in excessive shedding and even bald patches. Generally, people below 20 are most affected by this condition but it may occur to any individual irrespective of age and gender. The hair loss is reversible on its own and treatments are also available. Below is a list of different types of Alopecia Areata that have been diagnosed in people.

  • Alopecia Universalis (AU) - This kind of alopecia leads to complete hair loss from the body, including eyebrows and eyelashes.
  • Alopecia Totalis (AT) - Alopecia Tolalis causes shedding of hair from the scalp making one bald.
  • Alopecia Barbae - When Alopecia Areata occurs at the beard area making patches or wiping the entire area smooth, it is called Alopecia Barbae.
  • Scarring Alopecias (Cicatricial Alopecias) - This is the rarest form of Alopecia where one loses hair permanently.
  • Androgenetic Alopecia (AGA) - Also called male or female pattern baldness, this type of alopecia causes excessive thinning of hair to the point that the scalp is almost visible. This is a progressive kind of hair loss that is most common in people with hereditary alopecia.
  • Traction Alopecia - This type of alopecia results from excessive pulling on the hair, which causes tension in the hair follicles. Primarily seen in women because of certain kind of hairstyles, it can lead to damage of hair shafts preventing re-growth of hair.
  • Telogen Effluvium - If more than normal amount of hair falls out then, it is called Telogen Effluvium. It is usually innocuous and the hair returns to its former glory after the phase has passed.
  • Anagen Effluvium - This type of hair loss is caused due to chemicals used to treat cancer. After the completion of the treatment, hair usually grows back to its normal state.

Let me first tell you that whatever damage has been done till date cannot be rectified. Start oiling your hair with coconut oil every third day. Use a mild shampoo or a homoeopathic one and take a protein rich diet and most importantly wash your hair with water that you use for drinking purposes.

I am 22 years old female suffering from hair loss, oily hairs within 2 days please tell me what should I do?

MD, Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine and Surgery (BAMS)
Ayurveda, Pune
I have self made specialized tablets to control hair fall. These tablets clear blocks at the root of hair follicles thereby giving them proper protein and nutrition and hence hair becomes thick and strong and follicles that are devoid of hair acquire nutrition and grow hairs in them. At the same time, medicine retards destruction of estrogen, thereby reducing hair fall. Above all else, medicine strengthen liver so that absorption of calcium and phosphorus from food increases. This is how it is complete hair care system.

What Causes Excessive Growth of Hair on the Body?

What Causes Excessive Growth of Hair on the Body?

Hypertrichosis: Symptoms and causes

What is hypertrichosis?

Hypertrichosis is the excessive growth of hair, which is abnormal given for the person's age, sex, body area or race. This is different from Hirsutism in which women experience hair growth in areas that generally fall under the male pattern of hair distribution.

The commonest symptom of hypertrichosis is the development of excess hair in small isolated patches (localised hypertrichosis) or all over the body (generalised hypertrichosis). Some with this disorder may exhibit enlarged gums and defects of the teeth as well.

Types of hypertrichosis

Hypertrichosis may be congenital (present during birth) or acquired.

  • Congenital hypertrichosis is generally caused by genetic mutations. It may affect men and women differently, and may even impact the whole body, covering one totally in hair or just in isolated areas such as the upper part of the body, face, elbows etc.
  • Acquired hypertrichosis occurs post birth. Causes of it may include side effects of certain drugs, certain types of cancer and metabolic abnormalities. It may also occur due to trauma. This generally causes hair growth around or in the facial region such as the upper lip, chin and cheeks that may follow a certain pattern.

Causes of Hypertrichosis:

  • Genes - Genetic mutations has been seen to affect the development of hypertrichosis.
  • Cancer - It may develop in those suffering from cancers of some forms. This form of hair growth is also known as malignant down and generally affects the face.
  • Malnutrition - Eating disorders affect the metabolism of a person, which might lead to the development of hypertrichosis.
  • Drugs - Certain drugs have been found to cause hormonal imbalances, which can induce excessive hair growth.
  • Injuries - Trauma such as head or cerebral injuries or exposure to certain chemicals may also cause hypertrichosis. Porphyrias, which are disorders affecting the skin and or nerves, may also lead to its development.

Rashes on skin are mostly caused due to allergy or called hypersensitivity. It may caused by some special food items or cloth fabrics. * you are advised to please check the clothes you are wearing. Avoid all types of synthetic cloths like nylon & use only cotton clothes to avoid rashes. * avoid peanuts, jaggery (gur), garlic, tila, cashew, pista, dates, spices, curd, egg, chicken, alcohol because these food increase the internal heat of body which may also cause redness of skin & appearance of reddish spots, itching & burning. * apply calamine lotion on sites of rashes to get relief from itching & burning. * drink upto 2-3 liters of water everyday. * practice sheetali pranayan in the morning for 5-8 minutes.

I am 25 years old male had black heads on nose due to sunlight please tell us there treatment.
You need to get facial massage done every 15 days for 3 months. And then later once in every month. This will make your facial muscles toned up and remove all dead skin over it. So that you can get good glowing skin. Oiliness and black heads will also be reduced by this. Still if you have any more queries. Please let me know.
