For your left ankle sprain if you take proper care with immobilising the limb than it should get better within a week.

Good day 1 week ago saturday I had a very bad injury I fall down on ice and injure my left leg. I went toi the hospital and stayed one day there now they saying my muscles above my left knee (ferrum) was a little bit broken open and we can do two things they told me or we make operation or put a brace. I have chosen for a brace and they told me 4 weeks home to recover with the brace and do not walk too much and walk with crutches. My question is will I recover with my leg totally after a lot of rest and do not walk too much.

Dear Doctor, I am 73 years old (DOB 30/03/1941) male. Recently, I developed pain in my Right Knee. I went to the Orthopaedic Surgeon who had carried our orthoscopic about twenty two years ago. He had the removed bits of cartilage and since then I had no problem. This time he saw my X-rays (copy attached) and said that I needed replacement surgery ? first to the right knee and then to the left knee. On request he prescribed Tab Nucoxia 90 and Vitamin E 400mg. I am diabetic (2) and have high blood pressure, both under control with medication. A pacemaker was implanted on 01/06/2012. It is working fine as per my last check up on 03/11/2014 (next check-up due on 3/5/2013). I am having following medicines ? Tab NatrilAm, Tablet Telma (80), Ecosprin (75), Urimax (0.04), Metosartan (1000) BD, Trajenta (5), Amaryl (2), vitamins and calcium). My request is to advise:- 1. Is there an alternative to surgery? Is Joint replacement surgery a must? 2. Is Tab Nucoxia 90 safe with the medicines I am taking, and how long should I continue?

Hi Total knee replacement is last resort for such cases. This procedure is very much effective and safe and results are very good. We do tkr frequently and patient is able to walk 2-3 day with ability to cross leg. Diabetes and hypertension are not to worry for this surgery regards Dr gaurav singla consultant joint replacements Chandigarh

Postural hypotension means that your nerves are not working properly in a normal person, when he gets up and stands from lying down position, the blood pressure increases in your case, the increase will not be normal.

Yes it will serious problem so maintain your posture should be straight keep your pelvic equal balance in sitting, and standing and if you hv fat on tummy so reduce that and do core strength exercise.

There are many causes of headache. i.e. fever, acidity, gastritis, stress, injury , eye sight weakness, apply any good pain balm on head. Try to take good sleep at night. take tab. vasograine thrice a day after meal, tab. Pan 40 mg once a day for 3 days . if not ok then checkup b.p. , cbc, blood sugar, eye sights, and consult again.

Stretch calves. Stretch calves get a custom made insole. Hams stretching. Sports taping. Hot fomentation. Standing calf stretch stand away from a wall and. Put your fight foot behind you and be sure your toes are facing forward. Lean forward at the ankle while bending the right knee and keeping your heel on the ground. Hold this for 30 to 60 seconds. Repeat 10 times a twice a day.

Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomantation. Paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck back knee & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. For emergency treatment contact your nearest hospital or family doctor. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, contact me again. Why not discuss with me in a video conference? Hello apply prasarini oil or pranacharya restopain oil on your affected part and give hot water fomentation .take yograj guggul and agni tundi vati after lunch and dinner with warm water. Take maha rasnadi kwath 2-2 tsf twice a day. Take pranacharya vatari capsule and syrup twice a day. Avoid fermented food. Junk food.

This is a general low back ache and for this you can follow these measures: one keep a pillow right under the knee while sleeping, next is you can keep ice in the painful area for about 5--10 minutes, if pain still persists you can stretch your body by twisting the waist on both sides how we used to do in the school drill similarly you can try which will help you relax as well will reduce the pain. Ice can be kept in the low back where you have back pain. It is suggestible to wear lumbo sacral belt which would help you to build the abdominal muscle tone which itself would make you feel better. You can also wear mcr chappals which would help you to have less weight falling in the painful back.

This could be due to lumbar spondylosis with nerve root compression. Rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Use no pillow under the head. Any way take paracetamol 250mg od & sos you will need other supportive medicines also. Do back (spine) exercises contact me again if need be. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take you may have to use lumbosacral support for some time. Avoid painful act/activities. Take medicines as prescribed it may have to be further investigated.

Hi , my question is regarding sore muscles. I have done workout last Friday and instructor told me to go for weights. He made me lift weights. I performed bench press etc etc and the day was good.
