I have a habit of daily masturbation, now I am having hair fall so can masturbation cause hair fall.

C.S.C, D.C.H, M.B.B.S
General Physician,
I have a habit of daily masturbation, now I am having hair fall so can masturbation cause hair fall.
No it is safe. People wrongly believe that masturbation is a bad habit, or sin and it causes loss of energy and many side effects can occur. All these are myths and it is a safe act to give vent to sexual drive in men who cannot do sex. People fear if they have adverse effect on marriage or that their energy is wasted and such many funny misbeliefs are going around and all are not true. One can do as many times as he feels and health or energy is not affected or there will be no effect on marriage Masturbation is the self-stimulation of the genitals to achieve sexual arousal and pleasure, usually to the point of orgasm (sexual climax). It is commonly done by touching, stroking, or massaging the penis or clitoris until an orgasm is achieved. Some women also use stimulation of the vagina to masturbate or use "sex toys, such as a vibrator. Just about everybody. Masturbation is a very common behaviour, even among people who have sexual relations with a partner. In one national study, 95% of males and 89% of females reported that they have masturbated. Masturbation is the first sexual act experienced by most males and females. In young children, masturbation is a normal part of the growing child's exploration of his or her body. Most people continue to masturbate in adulthood, and many do so throughout their lives. In addition to feeling good, masturbation is a good way of relieving the sexual tension that can build up over time, especially for people without partners or whose partners are not willing or available for sex. Masturbation also is a safe sexual alternative for people who wish to avoid pregnancy and the dangers of sexually transmitted diseases. It also is necessary when a man must give a semen sample for fertility testing or for sperm donation. When sexual dysfunction is present in an adult, masturbation may be prescribed by a sex therapist to allow a person to experience an orgasm (often in women) or to delay its arrival (often in men). While it once was regarded as a perversion and a sign of a mental problem, masturbation now is regarded as a normal, healthy sexual activity that is pleasant, fulfilling, acceptable and safe. It is a good way to experience sexual pleasure and can be done throughout life. Masturbation is only considered a problem when it inhibits sexual activity with a partner, is done in public, or causes significant distress to the person. It may cause distress if it is done compulsively and/or interferes with daily life and activities. In general, the medical community considers masturbation to be a natural and harmless expression of sexuality for both men and women. It does not cause any physical injury or harm to the body, and can be performed in moderation throughout a person's lifetime as a part of normal sexual behaviour. Some cultures and religions oppose the use of masturbation or even label it as sinful. This can lead to guilt or shame about the behaviour. Some experts suggest that masturbation can actually improve sexual health and relationships. By exploring your own body through masturbation, you can determine what is erotically pleasing to you and can share this with your partner. Some partners use mutual masturbation to discover techniques for a more satisfying sexual relationship and to add to their mutual intimacy. Sex boosts your body’s ability to make protective antibodies against bacteria, viruses, and other germs that cause common illnesses. Of course, there’s more to cultivating a robust immune system than having a healthy sex life. Eating right, exercising, getting adequate sleep, and keeping up to date with vaccinations all contribute to having strong and healthy defences against contagious illnesses. It is a good exercise .Like every other kind of physical activity, sex burns calories, too! Sitting and watching TV burns about 1 calorie per minute. Having sex increases your heart rate and utilizes various muscle groups, burning about 5 calories per minute. Regular sex cannot replace sessions at the gym, but a having an active, healthy sex life is a nice way to get some extra physical activity. Sexual activity helps keep levels of hormones, like oestrogen and testosterone, in check. When these hormones are out of balance, conditions like heart disease and osteoporosis may develop. When it comes to protecting heart health by having sex, more is better. One study in men showed that those who had sex at least 2 times a week were 50% less likely to die of heart disease than their less sexually active men. Sexual stimulation (including masturbation) and orgasm can help keep pain away. Both activities can reduce pain sensation and increase your pain threshold. Orgasms result in the release of hormones that can help block pain signals. Some women report that self-stimulation through masturbation can reduce symptoms of menstrual cramps, arthritis, and even headache. One study showed that men who had frequent ejaculations (defined as 21 times a month or more) were less likely to develop prostate cancer than those who had fewer ejaculations. It did not matter if the ejaculations occurred through intercourse, masturbation, or nocturnal emissions.

I have a headache and my board exams are starting in 2-3 days and I am tensed about it.

Hypnotherapist, DCS, BSIC, Advanced Trainee of Transactional Analysis, Advanced Skills in Counselling
Psychologist,
I have a headache and my board exams are starting in 2-3 days and I am tensed about it.
Please have a pain killer for your headache. Any allopathy medicine meant for stress busting will have side effects so I don't recommend that to you. Instead some life skills which will take away the stress during exam time will always stay with you to protect you from stress. Time Management Guidelines 1. Plan your time wisely. Those who fail to plan are planning to fail! 2. Establish goals: a. Know where you are going and what you want to accomplishb. Be motivated to accomplish your goalsc. Invest your time in a much more meaningful way 3. Update your goals continuously. 4. Prioritize your goals, using a 1-2-3 ranking. 1=extremely important; 2=somewhat important; 3=little importance. 5. Identify those activities you must accomplish to reach your goals. 6. Identify obstacles that will prohibit you from accomplishing your goals. 7. Schedule your activities, allowing time for: (1) essential activities, (2) routine tasks, (3) previous commitments, and (4) interruptions and crisis situations. 8. Allow yourself “planning time.” Schedule activities for the next day in the evening. 9. Allocate at least one hour a day for uncommitted time to take advantage of targets of opportunity or unanticipated demands on your time. 10. Eliminate “must” activities quickly to allow more time for more demanding activities. Eliminating “musts” will reduce tension and anxiety caused by interruptions and distractions. 11. Prepare a “daily activity list” in priority ranking 12. Learn to say “No!” 13. Establish a routine of when and where people can reach you. When people know times you are available, they will contact your during that time and not interrupt or distract you throughout the day 14. Learn to delegate! Any activity which someone else can do for you eg. Drive you to a tuition class. Give the job to them so that you get more time to prepare/ relax/ sleep etc. 15. Ask this question at all times: “What is the best use of my time at this moment in light of my goals? Besides the above: 1. Eat only healthy food and avoid processed, refined and junk food because it will tire you and your brain out faster than anything else. Junk food is linked to anxiety and depression also. 2. Keep drinking water to hydrate yourself. Thus will help you to concentrate and retain more than anything else. Avoid excess caffeine and alcohol as it slows down brain capacity to retain and reproduce. 3. Get your beauty sleep even during exams. Though this is a time eater but if you get your sleep then your capacity to study will increase drastically the next day to retain and reproduce. There are natural sleep inducers and stress busters in ayurveda which are safe to have. I would recommend those over allopathy. 4. Exercise everyday to increase blood and oxygen flow to the brain and body. Your mind will be sharp and alert all day and not get stressed out easily.

Drink more water, high-carbohydrate foods such as potatoes, rice, pasta and bread. You can take Nutrient-rich foods that improve your health may also benefit your thyroid gland, antioxidant-rich fruits and vegetables more plenty of water: Blueberries, tomatoes, bell peppers, and other foods rich in antioxidants can improve overall health and benefit the thyroid gland. Eating foods high in B vitamins, like whole grains, may also help. Selenium: Tiny amounts of selenium are needed for enzymes that make thyroid hormones to work properly. Eating selenium-rich foods, such as sunflower seeds or Brazil nuts, can be beneficial. Tyrosine: This amino acid is used by the thyroid gland to produce T3 and T4. Taking a supplement may help,

Limit Refined Sugars in Your Diet!

While most of us aiming to lose weight focus on reducing fats, many of us fail to understand the role that refined sugar play in increasing our body weight and waistlines.

Here are some simple tips for reducing sugars in your diet:

1. Practice yourself to enjoy foods that are naturally sweet, without added sugar. Choose seasonal fruits as your snack.

2. Try to make homemade sauces and toppings with less sugar.

3. Sugar- sweetened beverages like milkshakes and coffee drinks, which are full of sugar and calories. Try to limit the intake of these beverages.

4. Mix fresh or dried fruit into plain, home-made yogurt, many ready-to-eat fruity yogurts are loaded with added sugar.

5. Opt for the smallest sized can or bottle you can find, if you want to have soft drinks. Soft drinks are commonly sold in big bottles (approx. 600ml), which provide at least 12-15 teaspoons of sugar.

Hello, you can take homoeopathic medicines 1. Kali brom 30 (4 drops in little water) thrice a day for a week. 2. Berberis aquifolium q (10 drops in little water) thrice a day for a week and revert. Keep a gap of 15 - 20 minutes in both the medicines. *clean your skin gently with a mild face wash removing all dirt or make-up. Wash many times a day with plain water. *get an adequate amount of sleep. *avoid touching your face with your hands or try to squeeze pimples, it may leave permanent scars and spread the infection. *make a habit of 8-10 glasses of water daily. *avoid fried and spicy food. *include fruits, raw vegetables and fresh vegetable juices in your diet. *avoid stress and anger. *avoid harsh skin products.
