I am 53 years old. I am suffering from periferial vascular disease. Due to which I feel severe pain in my left leg while walking only. Angiography done by doctor in which left illeca artery totly blocked. Please suggest me.

MD - Paediatrics
Pediatrician, Ranchi
The condition is called intermittent claudication due to obstruction of major vessel. First of all surgical intervention will be needed to relieve the block. Long term medication (blood thinning agent like warfarin) may be needed thereafter. I would be better able to help you out if you give me detail history with the reports. Regards.

You'll need to make many lifestyle and dietary changes to manage your blood pressure. I will recommend several lifestyle changes, including: eating a healthier diet as prescribed by a registered dietitian exercising regularly with workouts prescribed by me quitting smoking losing weight I being a both a registered dietitian and doctor have been successfully helping patients with their problems through a holistic approach using customized therapeutic diet and medications. Do reply back for private consultation for rx. Do reply back for medication prescriptions. Being also a general physician, I prescribe both evidence based herbal as well as allopathic medicines complementing with dietary guidelines taking into account patient preferences.

If a person got a severe heart attack what precaution could a person takes at that time.

B.H.M.S., Senior Homeopath Consultant
Homeopath, Delhi
Most people normally shed 50 to 100 hairs a day. This usually doesn't cause noticeable thinning of scalp hair because new hair is growing in at the same time. Hair loss occurs when this cycle of hair growth and shedding is disrupted or when the hair follicle is destroyed and replaced with scar tissue. The exact cause of hair loss may not be fully understood, but it's usually related to one or more of the following factors: family history (heredity) hormonal changes medical conditions medications.

Dear lybrateuser, -There is no evidence to suggest that doing or lifting weight by left hand causes heart problems, the effect of doing any work from either side will have the same effect on the body.

Reduce alcohol sugar, jaggery and starchy foods, they increase BP. Balanced diet and exercise reduce BP. You will need to start BP tablet if BP remains high.

Dear, you should definitely quit. You should visit a pulmonologist / physician for detailed investigation. Let them decide what are those check ups you need. You will need de-addiction therapy and nicotine replacement therapy for some time to tackle nicotine craving. Take care.
