Hi iam 30 years old. I was drinking 4 to 5 times a week from past 4 to 5 months. I just took a LFT and Lipid profile as I wanted to check up. My total Chol is 257. Trigly is 377. HDL 51 LDL 164, VLDL 42 and NON HDL 206. LFT test- AST 32, ALT 58, GGTP 309, ALP 133 Bilirubin total 0.64, A: G ratio 1.22. After this I have completely stopped drinking and I am doing cardio for an hour daily along with taking garlic, walnuts, fruits, non fatty diets. My question is Can I control the damage without medication or do I need to take medicines also. How bad is the situation.

Take green tea. Avoid coffee and tea. Avoid carbonated juices. Take lemon juice with honey. Use curry leaves, cabbage, fennel, carrot, tomatoes, broccoli, cauliflower, cinnamon in your daily life. Take fruits like grapes, peaches, figs, berries, oranges, watermelon. Also, ginger, black pepper, mustard seeds helps to control obesity. Drink water at least 2 to 3 liters per day. Do walking or jogging at least for an hour. Do walking for at least 30 minutes.

What happens if two or three avil 25 mg tablets are taken at night time before going to bed. Not on a regular basis as my friend suffers from love failure and she had it and told me. She will feel drowsiness so suggest her not to go out or drive. Once the drug is put of her system she should be fine and will not have any other side effect. I would also request that you suggest her to seek help outside for few months. See a counselor or psychologist who could help her cop with her current state and lead healthy life ahead.

Hypokalemic periodic paralysis is a disorder that causes occasional episodes of muscle weakness and sometimes a lower than normal level of potassium in the blood. It is one of a group of genetic disorders that includes hyperkalemic periodic paralysis and thyrotoxic periodic paralysis. Causes hypokalemic periodic paralysis is congenital. This means it is present at birth. In most cases, it is passed down through families (inherited) as an autosomal dominant disorder. In other words only one parent needs to pass the gene related to this condition on to you in order for you to be affected. Occasionally, the condition may be the result of a genetic problem that is not inherited. Unlike other forms of periodic paralysis, persons with congenital hypokalemic periodic paralysis have normal thyroid function. But they have a very low blood level of potassium during episodes of weakness. This results from potassium moving from the blood into muscle cells in an abnormal way. Risk factors include having other family members with periodic paralysis. The risk is slightly higher in asian men who also have thyroid disorders. The most important treatment in severe hypokalemia is addressing the cause, such as improving the diet, treating diarrhea, or stopping an offending medication. Patients without a significant source of potassium loss and who show no symptoms of hypokalemia may not require treatment. Mild hypokalemia (>3.0 meq/l) may be treated with oral potassium chloride supplements (klor-con, sando-k, slow-k). As this is often part of a poor nutritional intake, potassium-containing foods may be recommended, such as leafy green vegetables, tomatoes, coconut water, citrus fruits, oranges, or bananas.[14] both dietary and pharmaceutical supplements are used for people taking diuretic medications. Severe hypokalemia (<3.0 meq/l) may require intravenous supplementation. Typically, a saline solution is used, with 20? 40 meq/l kcl per liter over 3? 4 hours. Giving iv potassium at faster rates (20? 25 meq/hr) may predispose to ventricular tachycardias and requires intensive monitoring. A generally safe rate is 10 meq/hr. Even in severe hypokalemia, oral supplementation is preferred given its safety profile. Sustained-release formulations should be avoided in acute settings. Difficult or resistant cases of hypokalemia may be amenable to a potassium-sparing diuretic, such as amiloride, triamterene, spironolactone, or eplerenone. Concomitant hypomagnesemia will inhibit potassium replacement, as magnesium is a cofactor for potassium uptake. when replacing potassium intravenously, infusion by a central line is encouraged to avoid the frequent occurrence of a burning sensation at the site of a peripheral infusion, or the rare occurrence of damage to the vein. When peripheral infusions are necessary, the burning can be reduced by diluting the potassium in larger amounts of fluid, or mixing 3 ml of 1% lidocaine to each 10 meq of kcl per 50 ml of fluid. Your Daily food intake should ideally consist of – a. Have plenty of nuts, dry fuits and seeds. Almonds, walnuts, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, figs, dates and raisins. They are full of healthy fats needed by a human body. B. Good amount of fruits and vegetables – Bananas, apples, pomegranate, green leafy vegetables. Gaining weight is as difficult as losing it, if you are naturally thin. Skinny people complain that they can't put on any weight.If you want to build up weight, don't just eat high-calorie junk foods and rely on unnecessary supplements. Choose foods that are energy-dense and nutrient-dense whenever possible. Following are some tips to follow to increase your weight. You will take some time to gain the weight you need, but be patient. 1. If you have a rapid metabolism, then you must increase your daily intake of healthy foods (increase your intake of carbohydrates) to compensate for the rate at which you burn energy. Eat six smaller meals a day You should also eat more energy dense foods like healthy oils, dry fruits, seeds, nuts, pulses, etc. along with some starchy foods like potatoes, cereals, bread, pasta, rice, etc. 2. Consume more calories than you burn. Choose healthy calorie-dense food to add calories. Drink healthy beverages to add calories. Mangoes are rich in calories and carbohydrates, include them in your diet. 3. Eat healthy food frequently, 5-6 times a day - 3 larger meals and 3 smaller meals alternately. Separate them by at least 3 hours so you can digest each meal fully. Don't go without food for 5-6 hours after having a major meal. For example, if you wish to consume 3000 calories a day, you may eat 3 larger meals of about 650 calories and 3 smaller meals of about 450 calories. 4. Have a balanced diet. 5. Exercise regularly for putting on weight. Some thin people think that exercise is not good for them. This is not true, it keeps the metabolism high. Remember that eating alone is not sufficient. You don't want to gain fat but lean mass, so exercise is important. Resistance training exercises will help to increase your muscle mass, which in turn will increase metabolism. Learn to distinguish between weight gaining exercises and weight loss exercises. Note that if you do not get enough amino acids during exercise, the existing muscle may break down. Amino acids come from protein foods so you should eat such foods after exercise. Keep in mind that excessive exercise without putting back the energy you have used will not help you to put on weight.

Hair loss, thinning hair or baldness is termed as Alopecia. Alopecia areata means "hair loss in areas". Causes:: Genetic factors, family history, overall aging process, normal life variations including temporary severe stress, illness, nutritional changes, hormonal changes like those in pregnancy, puberty, and menopause may cause a reversible hair loss. 1. Chop some onions (pyaz) into fine pieces and squeeze out the juice. Apply this to hair and scalp and leave it for 15 minutes. Rinse it with shampoo. 2. Crush a few cloves of garlic (lehsun), add in a little coconut oil and boil for a few minutes. Cool it till it becomes warm and apply it on the scalp with a little massaging action. Repeat two to three times a week for best results. 3. Take coconut milk and add a little water to it. Apply this to the scalp and allow it to stay overnight. Rinse this the next morning. 4. Add two teaspoons of amla juice/ powder and mix with equal quantity of freshly squeezed lime juice. Mix well, apply to the scalp and leave it to dry; then rinse using warm water. 5. Take some flowers of rose (gulab) add some water to it and make a paste. Apply it on hair and keep it for an hour and then wash the hair.

Hello. Start taking homoeopathic medicines which are safe to take without any side-effects - Bakson's Gro-up drops/ 10 drops and Five Phos. - both thrice daily and Thuja 1M/ one dose once a week - take them for 1 month only. Management: Take milk and milk products which contains more calcium. More of protein (for cell multiplication) like pulses, legumes, sprouts, nuts, flaxseeds, non-veg, eggs, etc. Also, don't forget to take green vegetables, yellow veggies and fruits, seasonal fruits, salads, etc. Do skip rope daily, initially 10-20 times later gradually and slowly increase the frequency as per your capacity. Mr., to suggest a dietary plan, all the information like fasting, pp sugar levels hba1c%, extent of daily exercise is needed. Because diet has to be based on blood sugar levels, ideal body weight, and amount of daily exercise and present dietary habits. However, avoid sweets completely, avoid deep fried foods, junk foods, pastries, other bakery items, sweetened aerated drinks (colas), sweet corn syrup containing products, highly processed foods and high fat containing milk products. Consume more of green leafy vegetables, salads and permitted fruits (100 g a day). Use whole grain products, avoid refined flour like maida and foods made out of it. Total caloric intake should e about 1700 calories per day. Thanks for the question.
