I am looking for an online doctor who I can do follow up care for a chronic lower back pain 2 yrs. Bulging disc in L-5.I work alot of hours and it is difficult to see a doctor in the traditional office visit. I have copies of my old prescription for record and just need it refilled monthly it is for buprenorphine/Butrans or buprin. I am fine with using a pharmacy in India. Hello apply prasarini oil or pranacharya restopain oil on your affected part and give hot water fomentation .take yograj guggul and agni tundi vati after lunch and dinner with warm water. Take maha rasnadi kwath 2-2 tsf twice a day. Take pranacharya vatari capsule and syrup twice a day. Avoid fermented food. Junk food.

If you are not able to go for a walk daily, then stay active in some form or other like climbing stairs at your home. Secondly, for leg pain dip your legs in warm water daily before going to bed, it improves blood circulation.

Dear lybrateuser, - Your problem could be due to muscular & soft tissue problem - do not lift weight, do upper body exercise till pain subsides - do hot fomentation twice a day - apply pain relief gel three times a day - if pain is more have a pain relief tablet after meals - also do a x-ray chest to rule out any other problem.

When walking on the road a stone hit my head because of speeding car and on the right side of my head above my right ear it started bleeding. Bleeding stopped same day. The bruise is not big. Now its dried but my head keeps hurting. Should I need to do a scan or mri.

If you had not had any fainting episode during the hit and no fits after that then scan is not indicated. Probably the pain is due to bruise. See a neurologist if complains persist.

Dear lybrate-user back pain is very vague term and we need more information to understand you. Simple solution is to keep fit with aerobic exercise and so yogasan and pranayam and later on weight training. Avoid anything which gives more pain like bending forward or lifting weights.

May b your suffering from lumber spondylosis. U need to do some stretchings. Do not take heavy weight by bending. Use hot application on that area. Knee advice. Avoid sitting cross legged. Avoid squatting- quadriceps exercises- lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core strengthening exercise- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. Repeat 10 times, twice a day. Sports taping- stretch the tape from both ends and apply on the affected area contrast fomentation (hot and cold).

Hello Doctors, I have 3 problems right now: 1. Lower back pain: I had a lower back spasm few months back and it was reduced (as told by therapist) but still the pain did not reduce 100 %. I feel pain in my lower back and buttock when I sit for long. I feel muscle tightness on my buttock muscle. When I sit, I feel I am sitting on something on my right buttock. 2. Knee Pain: I had an ligament problem 4 years back and again few months back I did jumping squats and that pain returned. I have mild pain when I stand for long time or walk for long. Sometimes I feel the muscles or ligament at knee are vibrating (One of the doctor said it is due to improper nutrition). Sometimes I feel right leg is taller than left. 3. Ankle & Feet pain: In November I had an ankle sprain and then doctor said to take rest but due to floods in Chennai I could not take proper rest. So I had the ankle pain for many days. Now the ankle pain reduced mostly but I have pain in feet when I stand or walk for more than 10 mins. I had been to physio therapy and doing stretches cum workout as prescribed by doctor. I have consulted 3 doctors and got X-Rays but everything is fine. All these ailments are on the right side. After using allopathic and exercises the pain and discomfort did not cure completely. Now 2 days back I have started homeopathy and continuing exercises. I will be grateful if any doctor could help help what I can do next. Thanks a lot in advance for your time.

Apply Hot Fomentation twice daily. Avoid bending in front. Postural Correction- Sit Tall, Walk Tall. Extension Exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times. Bhujang Asana – Lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily. Core Strengthening Exercises- Straight Leg Raised With Toes Turned Outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Back Stretching- lie flat, pull one of the knee forward to chest, hold for 3 seconds, then bring the other knee forward to the chest and again hold for 3 seconds. Then pull both knees towards the chest and hold for 3 seconds. Repeat 10 times each exercise twice a day. Do the cat/cow stretch. Get on all fours, with your arms straight and your hands directly under your shoulders; your knees hip-width apart.

Hi you have condition achilles tendinitis. You may be having severe pain for the initial few steps after getting up from bed or after being seated for some time. You require rest, avoid stressful activities like running, jumping, heeled shoes/ slippers all the time, hot fomentation morning and night, physiotherapy and medications. May be you haven't provided adequate rest. It will take time.

it is occurring due to weakness of back muscles. So u need both medicine and exercises. Spinal extension exercises that can strengthen your spinal muscles.

Kindly show me a photograph of the affected part. Rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomantation. Paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck, back & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. You will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, contact me again. Do not ignore. It could be beginning of a serious problem.

Use cotton mattress. Change your position after every 45 mins while you are standing or sitting. Take proper back support while sitting for long. Do back strength exercises & apply hot pack for 15-20min.
