DNB
General Physician,
There is no permnant cure for ulcerative colitis except surgery but its last resort. Depending on your stage of disease from mild to severe treatment varies. It requires colonoscopy report and your symptoms to start you on immunosuppression. Any other symptoms other than gastrointestinal affection also has impact on selecting the right medicine. So I will suggest you to go to Gastroenterologist near your area and consult humor her for right treatment.

Dear Lybrateuser, -Start with walking then do brisk walking for about 10 days if you can't jog, gradually increase your pace & then time after a week, when you are comfortable with with brisk walking for 30-40 min then try slow jogging -do warm up & stretching for 10 min before the main exercise, also cool down for 5-10 min after exercise -try to reduce your weight by dieting, eat more of fibrous foods like fruits & vegetables, beans, nuts, avoid fried, processed & junk foods -do yoga for 10-20 min as it will also help in reducing weight & building stamina -consult a dietitian on forum for dietary requirements as per your constitution.

ur prostate is absolutely normal.. get ur urine examined first to rule out any infection.. acidity can be due to various reasons even due to water and food change..follow these tips for reducing acidity: -Relax and eat food slowly Avoid skipping breakfast. - Eat smaller meals;Don't overeat -Limit fluids intake during meals. As it increases stomach distension. -Avoid foods and drinks that trigger acidity (e.g. Fatty ,Spicy foods, onions, garlic, peppermint, chocolate, coffee, tea, citrus fruits or juices, tomatoes, cola or alcohol) -drink only RO filtered water -Wear loose-fitting clothes.Tight clothes or belts can constrict your stomach. -Do daily exercise.like walking; It keeps you upright, allowing gravity to aid digestion -Don't lie down after eating.Wait at least 2-3 hours after meal before sleeping. Avoid late night snacks .Elevate the head end of bed by 6-8 inches. Sleep in left lateral position. HOME REMEDIES:.Dried ginger ,dried fennel or Ripened guava can speed up digestion of food -TREATMENT: -mucaine gel syp 2 tsp twice daily will help -tablet Rabicip-D. taken twice daily before meals as these reduce acid production in the stomach.
