It is a common problem; it may be associated with overeating, constipation, food allergy and certain diseases. Eeping after meals doubles gas and acidity that increases burning and sour sensation. Drink hot water after meals for easy digestion, it is also good for weight reduction. Include ginger, mint leaves and garlic in your daily food. These are good for easy gas and acidity. Reduce daily intake of coffee and tea. Drink enough water every day to keep you healthy. Avoid eating sweets after the meals and stop drinking water after eating sweets. Include fruits in your morning meal. Fibers and natural supplements help to retain energy and overcome acidity related problems of the stomach. Avoid factors that make stress. Do not forget that stress is a reason for many diseases and controlling stress is enough for curing many diseases. Avoid spicy foods, vinegar, black tea, chocolate etc. These are a reason for gas and acidity. Drinking coconut water daily is good for gas and acidity eat vanilla ice cream or drink a glass of cold milk to get immediate relief from gas and acidity. Take one piece of clove and chew it slowly. This is a good way to give you relief from acidity within minutes. Take a piece of ginger and chew it with little bit salt. This is good for immediate relief from gas and acidity avoid raw vegetable salads like onion, cabbage and radish. These are acidity generating vegetables. Place a piece of jaggery in the mouth and suck it slowly, till acidity settles. Chewing basil leaves is good for acidity. Take 1 spoon tukhmalanga (holy basil seeds) soak in1glass water for 6 hours. After 6 hours eat that seeds and drink water

Both are equally good. Dry fruit contains protein, iron, fresh fruit contains vitamins, minerals. Fresh fruit is comparatively cheap and has all good nutritional value.

The first thing you have to do is to develop a positive attitude towards your goal. You need to understand that transforming your physique is going to take a lot of time. These things don't work that easily. It's going to take a lot of hard work and consistency. The fat that you are carrying around was accumulated in years. So how can you expect to lose it in mere days. 1.Start exercising. Start working out if you are not active. Begin with body weight exercises like push up, pull up and squats. Weight training proves to be really helpful if you want to gain good quality weight. Train each body part twice a week. For example: Monday/Thursday: Chest + Triceps Tuesday/Friday: Back + Biceps Wednesday/Saturday: Legs + Shoulders Don't forget to warm up for at least 10 - 15 minutes. Warm up includes jumping, rope skipping, treadmill, cycling, stair climbing, etc.. 2.Eat Healthy. Stop drinking and smoking too much if you are indulged in it. Limit your intake of junk food and any form of sugar. Do not at all starve yourself. Make it a habit to eat something healthy every 2 - 3 hours. Some of the recommended food items are boiled chicken and eggs, brown rice, brown bread, peanut butter, olive oil (extra virgin), green tea, dry fruits etc. 3.Consume good amount of fruits and vegetables. Bananas, apples, pomegranate, green leafy vegetables. Fruits and vegetables helps in absorption of food in the body and together, completes your daily nutrition need. 4.Eat whole grains. Try to have multi grains spread throughout the day. Wheat, brown rice, oats are best sources of healthy carbohydrates but do not include these items in your dinner. 5.Increase protein intake. Protein proves to be the most essential nutrient when it comes down to gaining strength or building muscle. Therefore, consume all types of protein from both veg and non veg food items. Boiled chicken and eggs are the best sources of fat free protein. Sprouts are also rich in protein. Your Daily food intake should ideally consist of – a. Have plenty of nuts, dry fuits and seeds. Almonds, walnuts, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, figs, dates and raisins. They are full of healthy fats needed by a human body. B. Good amount of fruits and vegetables – Bananas, apples, pomegranate, green leafy vegetables. Fruits and vegetables helps in absorption of food in the body and together, completes your daily nutrition need. C. If you are a non- vegetarian - Eat eggs, chicken etc. D. Eat whole grains – Try to have multi grains spread throughout the day. Wheat, brown rice, oats, bajra, daliya etc should be taken in multiple meals in a day. E. Eat Sprouts – Chana and moong which are full of protein and nutrients. F. You can supplement your diet with good quality multi-vitamin capsules. If you are lacking in protein, you can buy a high quality whey protein and have it with banana shake twice a day. G. You can take natural food items like wheat grass which is full of essential nutrients which helps in weight gain. Try to be patient while you are on the process of weight gain. Results take time to show. Just follow this regimen and you will soon start seeing the results.

My parent both the knees have been outwear and suggested to replace but there is no pain in knees. Only problem is that during the walking some time not feel comfortable. Whether Knee Brace can be used during walking? Further, if Knee brace would be used then it may arise other complexity i.e. Further outwear or pain etc. Patent age is 63 years.

If there is no pain then why go for surgery. Start strengthening exercises for knee. If they are wearing knee braces according to their deformity then there is less problem in future.

You can feel weak due to lack of essential nutrients, not getting enough sleep, a weak immune system, excessive drinking, skipping meals, emotional stress, and too much physical labor. Persistent weakness can be caused by health problems like anemia, arthritis, hypothyroidism, a sleep disorder, cancer, chronic fatigue syndrome, diabetes and heart disease. In these cases, it is very important to find out the exact cause behind your weakness. To feel energetic and refreshed in life, you must exercise daily for at least 30 minutes, maintain your ideal body weight, follow a good diet, sleep properly, drink water throughout the day to keep your body hydrated, avoid alcohol and stop smoking if you do .

Hi, go for brisk walk 45 minutes daily. Do regular exercise atleast 15 minutes. Take one glass water in the morning. Take healthy breakfast. Don't skip breakfast. Include protein and fibre rich food in your diet. Include more fruits and vegetables in your diet. Drink more water in a day. Eat your food slowly chew well and not to swallow. Take small and frequent meals.

Good Morning, Body pain is common all age groups and your father of 52 years age is prone to body pain if he had co-morbid medical conditions like diabetes and hypertension. I would like for you to bring you father in for a consultation with a general physician so that he can be assessed and you can suggest further care for the patient. I also believe that you will be able to get his body pain under control if he is somatizing symptoms of depression and anxiety. In that case it would be appropriate for a psychiatrist to treat your father. I hope you find help for your father as soon as possible. Voveran long term use is not recommended, however since there is a possibility of kidney damage. I recommend that you visit with a specialist as soon as possible.

HI Lybrate USER A) Take 10 ml of fresh lemon juice and ginger juice along with 1 tsf of jaggery along with 60 ml of water early in morning on empty stomach and after meals, B) do regularly BHUJANGASANA, UTTANPADASANA and PAVANMUKTASAN regularly early in the morning on empty stomach for 15 minutes…. Do this for 30 days…it gives you good result…THANKS.

It is better to take natural foods. Avoid supplements, as their effect is not guaranteed plus you will lose a lot of money over them. To gain some weight, you need to eat healthy. Take small meals but eat something solid every 2 hours. 1. Take at least two fruits per day and one glass fruit juice. 2. Take one peanut butter/cheese sandwich daily. 3. Eat 20 almonds & 5 khajoor daily 4. Drink full cream milk, curd, lassi, chikoo shakes etc. 5. If your are non veg you can have more eggs, chicken, fish. 6. Dals have good protien. Have more dals, rajma, kabuli chana, soya beans etc. 7. Avoid junk food and colas. Avoid chips and other namkeen. 8. No need for any extra supplements. Natural diet is best. 9. Go for regular walks / exercise / do yoga. Sleep well. 10. Take deworming tablets every six month. Feel confident about yourself and be positive.

Hye, Thanks for the query. Firstly understand that weight gain is very dependent on genetics and metabolism along with your daily diet and exercise routine. It is important to know that just eating just two heavy meals a day will not help. Weight gain is all about taking more calories than you burn. Eating the right foods at the right time is very important. There is no one food that helps weight gain. Eat meals at frequent intervals. You need to eat at least 6 main and mid meals a day. Eat a mid meal between each main meal. Avoid junk foods. Only potatoes don't make you gain mass. It's all about an overall diet plan. Include dairy, eggs, nuts, fruits, dry fruits, starchy vegetables, rice, bread, whole grain cereals, smoothies, masala milk, ghee, cream in your meals. Just eating sugary, sweet foods is not good. Try to have healthy deserts like kheer, chikki or lassi. Avoid alcohol and smoking. Exercise at least thrice a week. It helps development of muscle mass and improves appetite.  Even if you were to take just medicines or supplements they will not work in isolation. You need to have a calorie and nutrient dense meal and good exercise routine, it's crucial.

Underweight is a term describing a person whose body weight is considered too low to be healthy. The definition usually refers to people with a body mass index (BMI) of under 18.5 a weight 15% to 20% below that normal for their age and height group. Low weight may be due to improper diet, reduced assimilation from intestine, illness, metabolism, genetics etc. Thus first we have to rule out any such condition, with this have a healthy diet with more proteins (legumes, eggs, fish, lean meat, vegetables and fruits, drink plenty of water and go for regular exercise. A homoeopathic constitutional treatment will definitely help you a lot.

Use herbal medicine to help her to gain weight. Take capsule immurich 2 in empty stomach for 3 months. Also use capsule pentaphyte p5 for 60 days daily once at night.
