Why do small children get infected with fever and cold? and how can we protect them?
Not only small children but even adults get infected with cold and fever bcos the infection is contagious. So we should not cough openly nor should we discharge our nasal secretions openly.

I am suffering from cough problem for long time. And can't take breath properly. Please help me.

I am male 38 year old and I am suffering from dengue last 7days. What should I do? Please help me.
Watch for warning signs as temperature declines 3 to 5 days after symptoms/fever began, as this is the most dangerous period when platelet counts decline significantly. Report immediately to hospital if any of the following warning signs appear: Severe abdominal pain or persistent vomiting Red spots or patches on the skin Bleeding from nose or gums Vomiting blood Black, tarry stools (feces, excrement) Drowsiness or irritability Pale, cold, or clammy skin Difficulty breathing There is no specific medication for treatment of a dengue infection. Persons who think they have dengue should use analgesics (pain relievers) with acetaminophen (crocin or dolo -650 mg) and avoid those containing ibuprofen, naproxen, aspirin or aspirin containing drugs. They should also rest, drink plenty of fluids like coconut water, lime water etc. To prevent dehydration. Preventing dengue fever: the best way to prevent the disease is to prevent bites by infected mosquitoes. To protect yourself: Avoid visiting heavily populated residential areas, if possible. Use mosquito repellents, even indoors. When outdoors, wear long-sleeved shirts and long pants tucked into socks. Make sure window and door screens are secure and free of holes. If sleeping areas are not screened or air conditioned, use mosquito nets.

Dust allergy. Asthma. Sinusitis. Taking medicines, avoiding everything and yet no relief? you might be missing the hidden link.

Come every winter, and you start sneezing every morning? and the runny nose and may be even heaviness of head. Commonly known as'allergy' or in summers as 'dust allergy'.

If it's once in a while, you get through it with an anti allergic. What do you do when you have sneezing almost all through the season. Some patients might have advanced to have complaints all through the year even.

But if you have reached a stage where you or someone you know has exhausted all your options - use of anti allergic, like cetrizine's, avil's, or having done every surgery advised, removed your polyps, corrected the deviated nasal septum (dns), even removed tonsils if advised, you sit down to think why the problem has never reduced. The same is for recurrent sinusitis and tonsillitis, as well for asthma.

Sadly if you wud been saved of much trouble had you taken some time to understand that the climate or the dust could never be the cause of the problem, but only triggers. Otherwise every person walking around you should have been sneezing since he breathes the same air as you and if it is some food item then your family is mostly eating the same thing. So the cause can't be external. And that's what's the reason is. The change in your cell behaviour to external stimuli, esp when exaggerated is known as allergy. Without correcting this cell behaviour pattern, getting rid of this allergy could be a puzzle.

A few tips to find a real way out of allergy

1. Find out what changes in life could have triggered a change in body mechanics - meaning stress.

2. Until then or if you don't find any stress - avoid exposures to triggering factors.

3. Engage in stress relieving activities - sports, yoga, meditation or even hanging out with people you like and share your mind.

4. Homeopathy rectifies the cell behaviour and thereby provide longer lasting relief. The patient is challenged to resume taking fruits that he had stopped. Go out in open air which you would otherwise avoid.

Consult privately for an individualised evaluation.

Vulval itching Itchiness of the vulva is almost never caused by a sexually transmitted infection, but is usually a result of thrush or a skin condition. The lips of the vulva (the labia) are covered by ordinary skin, so the area can be affected by conditions such as eczema and psoriasis. And sometimes only the vulval skin is affected, so the diagnosis may come as a surprise. The usual mistake with vulval itching is to assume that you have thrush, and keep on applying anti-thrush creams that you have bought from a pharmacy. This may actually worsen the condition, because you can become allergic to some of the ingredients. If an anti-thrush cream does not deal with the problem within a few days, or if the itching comes back, see your doctor. If you have a skin condition, and not thrush, you need the appropriate treatment. This section explains the most common causes of vulval itching and what you can do about them. And you can find more information about thrush and trichomoniasis in the section on genital infections. Thrush is a fungal infection caused by Candida albicans. About 1 woman in 5 has Candida in her vagina without it causing any symptoms. Hormones in the vaginal secretions and the friendly vaginal bacteria keep it at bay. But problems can arise when this natural balance becomes upset, and the Candida multiplies. Thrush does not always cause a discharge – the main symptom is itching or soreness, and this gets worse in the week before a period. If there is a discharge, it is usually only slight, does not smell and looks like cottage cheese. Trichomoniasis. Infection with Trichomonas vaginalis can be itchy. Psoriasis is a skin condition that can be extremely itchy when the genitals are involved. The skin usually becomes bright red, often with painful cracks. The affected area may extend to the groin and to around the back passage (the anus) and between the buttocks. Psoriasis on other parts of the body is scaly (check your scalp, knees and elbows), but in the vulval area it tends to be smooth. You can have psoriasis on the vulva without having it anywhere else on your body. Lichen sclerosus is another extremely itchy skin condition affecting the vulva. The itching is often so bad that it can affect a sufferer's sleep. It is most common around the menopause and in girls just before puberty, though it can occur at any age. Its cause is a mystery. The skin looks thin and pale, and the area around the anus may also be affected. If it is not treated, the lips of the vulva eventually shrink, the vaginal opening narrows and sex becomes painful and can tear the skin. Treatment of this condition is simple, and your doctor can prescribe a special steroid cream. Allergies and sensitivities can cause redness and itching. The vulval area seems to be very sensitive to chemicals, probably because the vulva is moist and warm conditions that favour the absorption of chemicals by the skin. It is possible to develop an allergy to almost any chemical substance that comes into contact with the vulva, such as may be present in: skin creams (including anti-thrush creams) perfumes in soaps, bubble baths, shower gels and shampoos disinfectants washing powders and fabric softeners clothing dye (especially yellow) self-adhesive sanitary pads deodorants (including ‘intimate’ ones). In the past, it was thought that the enzymes in bio washing powders were particularly likely to cause an itchy allergy, but this seems to be a myth (British Journal of Dermatology 2008; 158:1177–81). Excessive washing can irritate the vulval area. Older women who may find it difficult to get into a bath may worry about personal hygiene, with the result that they wash the area too much. There is no need to wash several times a day – once is sufficient. Vulval intraepithelial neoplasia is a condition that usually affects older women, and causes itchiness in only a small area. It occurs because the skin in that area has become abnormal. There is a risk that it could develop into a skin cancer of the vulva, so it is important to see your doctor if you suspect you have this condition. Cancer of the vulva is very rare, and tends to affect mainly older women; itching can be the first sign, or there may be a lump or a sore. Stress or anxiety can cause itching. When you are stressed or anxious, your nervous system is on alert, and small sensations can become amplified into unpleasant itching or even pain. So it is not imaginary, it is real. What you can do about vulval itching Start by trying to eliminate anything that could be causing an allergy or sensitivity – look at the dos and don’ts for vulval problems. Avoid swimming while you have the irritation – the chlorine may make it worse. If you have been applying cream from the pharmacy for more than 1 week, and you still have the problem, stop using it. You may have developed a sensitivity to one of the ingredients. If the itch is really bad, you may be scratching in your sleep, causing more damage. Keep your fingernails short and wear cotton gloves when you go to bed.

Know the benefits of Mint for Hair, Skin and Face

ou want to know the Health benefits of Mint?

Well my guess is YES! - As you are now on this page.

Mint or pudina is an herb that is synonymous to freshness. Use it for seasoning your salad, adding it to your cup of tea or grind it finely to cook 'pudina ki chutney', mint can bring that extra zing and unique flavour to almost anything you cook.

Mint has been a mainstay of cooking for a long time. Like all herbs, mint is better if it's fresh rather than dried. If you're going to be juicing with mint, it will have to be fresh for you to get any juice out of it.

Humans have known about the health benefits of mint leaves for a long time. In the past, mint has been used to treat a variety of illnesses. It is especially effective in treating stomach and chest pains. During the Middle Ages, people used mint to whiten their teeth!

Vaginal Yeast Infection: Causes, Symptoms and Natural Tips to cure

Health Benefits Of Mint Leaves

Boost Digestion - One of the main mint health benefits is that it aids digestion and helps to remove stomach pains. Mint is a great appetizer and due to its soft aroma, it soothes the stomach. The aroma triggers the mouth to produce more saliva and more digestive enzymes. As you can imagine, this aids digestion tremendously.

Strengthen Your Liver - When your liver is chugging along slowly, you're going to be feeling pretty dismal. A poorly functioning liver is an energy sap. Thankfully, one of the great mint nutritional benefits is that it is a powerful liver booster. The health benefits of beetroot are also fantastic for the liver.

Cool Your Body - Mint is a cooling herb. Consuming mint causes your body to slightly lower its temperature. This is one reason that mint goes great in fruity, summery drinks.

Relieve Asthma - Many people have found that consuming mint produces positive relief for asthma symptoms. Scientists believe that regular use of mint is super beneficial for asthma patients. However, don't go too crazy as too much mint may cause irritation.

Take Care Of Your Teeth - Why do you think toothpaste is minty? It's because one of the health benefits of mint leaves is that they are good for dental hygiene. First, mint freshens up your breath. This is awesome, especially if you have just eaten a big plate of garlic. Mint also packs a load of germ defense. Mint inhibits the growth of bacteria in the mouth and cleans the teeth and tongue.

Stop Farting - I know it's an embarrassing subject, but hey, we all do it from time to time. One of the interesting mint nutritional benefits is that it will help us stop farting. Since it eases digestion, the body makes less gas. The benefits of lemon juice are also great for this.

Defeat Cancer - Like all edible plant food, mint is believed to have potent cancer-fighting powers. This health benefit of mint leaves is probably due to the variety of enzymes that mint contains. Pretty awesome, huh!

Kick out Acne - Mint juice is great if you're juicing for acne. Why? It cleans the skin like it's a jewel. It's beats infection, soothes the skin and it works like magic when it comes to removing pimples. It's also powerful in reducing wrinkles. If you want to look younger for longer, rub mint juice into your skin once or twice a day.

There is no denying that mint tastes great. While not specifically one of the health benefits of mint leaves, whether you use it in food, juice, toothpaste or something else, mint is pleasant to the tastebuds.
