Volume a typical specimen is 1-4 cc. While volume does not play an important role in fertility, a low volume suggests an incomplete collection. Conversely, very large volumes may result in dilution of sperm and may cause considerable leakage after intercourse. Some people believe large volumes are associated with infection, but this is not well-established. Count. A normal specimen should contain 20 million sperm/ml, or more. Most low counts go unexplained, but occasionally this can be hormonally related. Motility. This is expressed as percent of live sperm. Different labs express this differently, but essentially, about 60% of the sperm should be swimming.

You do not need protein supplement at this stage. You should focus on taking natural protein-rich food like pulses, sprouts, nuts and seeds and skimmed milk, along with 1 serving of fruits and salads daily.

To gain weight you should eat more calories than you burn. Plus not only you have to eat calorie dense food but you have to keep in mind that what you are eating is healthy too. In the process of weight gain you do not want to put weight in an uneven manner and look unhealthy rather than looking bright and healthy. 1.Start with changing your lifestly. Start working out if you are not active. The biggest myth that prevails now a days is that thin people do not need to work out. This is wrong. When you challenge your body, it is forced to grow. But this growth can only be possible if you are eating enough food to let the body absorb and grow in size and muscles. 2.Eat Healthy – Stop drinking and smoking too much if you are indulged in it. Limit your intake of junk food, pepsi, sugary stuff etc. Do not at all starve yourself. Make it a habit to eat something healthy every 3 hours. This means you have to eat 6 small meals in a day. Your Daily food intake should ideally consist of – a.Have plenty of nuts, dry fuits and seeds. Almonds, walnuts, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, figs, dates and raisins. They are full of healthy fats needed by a human body. B.Good amount of fruits and vegetables – Bananas, apples, pomegranate, green leafy vegetables. Fruits and vegetables helps in absorption of food in the body and together, completes your daily nutrition need. C.If you are a non- vegetarian - Eat eggs, chicken etc. D.Eat whole grains – Try to have multi grains spread throughout the day. Wheat, brown rice, oats, bajra, daliya etc should be taken in multiple meals in a day. E.Eat Sprouts – Chana and moong which are full of protein and nutrients. F.You can supplement your diet with good quality multi-vitamin capsules. If you are lacking in protein, you can buy a high quality whey protein and have it with banana shake twice a day. G.You can take natural food items like wheat grass which is full of essential nutrients which helps in weight gain. Try to be patient while you are on the process of weight gain. Results take time to show. Just follow the regimen of weight gain religiously and you will soon start seeing the results.

Ovarian Cyst - 12 Associated Symptoms

The ovaries are the egg producing organs, an essential part of the female reproductive system, they are responsible for the production of estrogen and release an egg every month. If the egg is fertilized with a sperm it can result in a pregnancy.

Ovarian cysts are quite common among women. Ovarian cysts are known to be small sacs filled with fluid that are situated in the ovaries.

Causes of ovarian cysts: Among ovarian cysts, the most common one is called the 'functional cyst'. This type of cyst is generally formed during the process of ovulation, wherein either the eggs do not successfully release from the sac or the sac (follicle) fails to disintegrate properly after the release of the egg.

Certain factors that can cause ovarian cysts are:

  1. Age that is ovarian cysts are more likely to occur in women who have reached menopause
  2. Smoking
  3. Being overweight or obese
  4. Consumption of fertility drugs
  5. Hormone replacement therapy
  6. Family history of ovarian cysts and cancer
  7. Early menstruation, that is, the onset of the period before the age of 11
  8. Hypothyroidism

Symptoms related to ovarian cysts: Generally, ovarian cysts show no specific symptoms and are generally located during a physical examination or an ultrasound. But, in case you suffer from large cysts or those that have ruptured, you may experience certain signs like:

  1. Pain while having sex. Great discomfort may be felt, particularly when deep penetration is attempted.
  2. Pain in the lower abdominal and pelvic region. This pain may be intermittent or persistent. It can also vary from being mild to quite sharp.
  3. Irregularity in the menstrual cycle.
  4. An uncomfortable pressure in the lower abdominal and pelvic area.
  5. Acute pain in the pelvic area and the lower back all throughout the menstrual period.
  6. Pain in the pelvic area after a session of vigorous exercise or strenuous physical activity.
  7. A feeling of discomfort or pain while urinating or during bowel movements.
  8. Nausea, followed by vomiting.
  9. Pain in the vaginal area, or light bleeding.
  10. Infertility
  11. Problems with healthy bowel movements.
  12. Bloating

If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a gynaecologist.

Intrauterine Growth Restriction (IUGR) - All You Need To Know!

Intrauterine Growth Restriction (IUGR) - All You Need To Know!

There is a load of things which have the tendency to go wrong when it comes to a pregnancy. One of the many is something called intrauterine growth restriction which is often abbreviated to be known as IUGR. While the name may be long, but the effect it can have on the baby means that the baby can turn out to be smaller than what a baby should really be.

Due to this issue, there is a range of other problems which can crop up. Some of these problems are an ability to resist infection as well as a degree of trouble when it comes to the maintenance of the body temperature. In addition to this, there are quite a few problems which include a low birth weight and a red blood cell count which is a lot higher than what would normally be expected to be seen in a baby.

In order to reduce the risk of intrauterine growth restriction (IUGR), what a mother should do is to cut out smoking from her life, in its entirety. Steps should also be taken with regard to diabetes and high blood pressure if these exist.

When a person is looking for the size of the baby, by the way of an ultrasound, the main symptom of the baby having intrauterine growth restriction is the size of the baby. If the baby happens to be smaller than about 90% of what babies at that stage of the pregnancy should be, it is a fair sign that IUGR may be the cause. However, that being said, it is not likely each and every small baby does, in fact, have IUGR. Another method which can be made use of in order to estimate the rate of growth of the baby is the dopper flow method. This means that sounds waves are used in order to find the rate of blood and the amount of the same moving through the vessels.

When there is a chance of IUGR, the things which would be good for a mother to be to practice even in normal circumstances should really be done. This means that she should get 8 hours of sleep, with possibly some rest in the afternoon. In addition to this, following a healthy diet is very important.

As long as the woman is in close contact with her doctor, it should be taken care of and the chances of a healthy baby will be as high as possible!

Hello dear High triglycerides and cholesterol can cause atherosclerotic heart disease or narrowed coronary arteries in the heart can cause the symptoms of angina, when theheart muscle is not provided with enough oxygen to function. Decreased blood supply to the brain may be due to narrowed small arteries in the brain or because the larger carotidarteries in the neck may become blocked. This can result in a transient ischmic attack or stroke. Peripheral artery disease describes gradual narrowing of the arteries that supply the legs. During exercise , if the legs do not get enough blood supply, they can develop pain , called claudication . Other arteries in the body may also be affected by plaque buildup causing them to narrow, including the mesenteric arteries to the intestine and the renal arteries to the kidney. Change life style .do meditation, yoga, Go walk daily, do any one physically activity daily i.e.play any game., Avoid fast foods, oily foods, junk foods, alcohol, smoking, fatty foods, non-veg.,avoid stress, take plenty of water in day time. And 1 glass of water before bed at night. use flax oil, omega-3 fatty meal or cap., take .green veg., whole grain. GARLIC,. Cod liver oil. Take anti cholesterol medicines . Cap.
