Dear , get urine and usg with full bladder volume, bladder wall thickness on full bladder and post-void residual urine volume measurement. This is to rule out or confirm if you have genuine problem in your urinary system. If they turn out to be negative then we can think about habit or conditioned reflex giving you trouble

Which food items should take a patient having stones in kidneys? Please advise.
what are the size of the stones? stones treatment depends on the types and size of stone, most kidney stones won't require invasive procedures. You may be able to pass a small stone by: drinking water. Drinking as much as 2 to 3 quarts (1.9 to 2.8 liters) a day may help flush out your urinary system. Unless doctor tells you otherwise, drink enough fluid mostly water to produce clear or nearly clear urine. Passing a small stone can cause some discomfort. To relieve mild pain, according to your medical history I may prescribe pain relievers. I am a doctor and renal (kidney) registered dietitian who will also prescribe a customized diet plan and medications to help pass your kidney stone quickly and with less pain. Do reply back for medication prescriptions. Being also a general physician and registered dietitian, I prescribe both evidence based herbal as well as allopathic medicines complementing with dietary guidelines and home remedies carefully personalized for each individual patient.

Kidney Transplant - 5 Things About it !

MBBS, MD - General Medicine, DM - Nephrology, DNB (Nephrology)
Nephrologist, Delhi
Kidney Transplant - 5 Things About it !

A kidney transplant is a procedure that employs an operation to transplant properly functioning kidney in the body. The main job of the kidneys is to remove the excess waste from a person’s body with the help of a filtration process. When the kidneys stop filtering the toxins properly, they become diseased as harmful waste products and toxins begin to accumulate in the body. Following this, the patient has to go through treatment measures like dialysis or kidney transplant.

Read on to know the five things you should keep in mind about a kidney transplant.

  1. Treatment: Transplant is one of the best ways to treat chronic kidney disease stage-V, until unless it is contraindicated. Life becomes near normal after transplant, though there is a possibility of rejection of transplant kidney. Patient has to take immunosuppressive medication life long.
  2. Medication: Medications are mainly for:
    1. To prevent rejection: Patient takes immunosuppressive medications life long.
    2. Prevention of infection: Patient has to take care all the measures to prevent infections as they are more prone to infections.
    3. Other medication: To control diabetes, HTN etc.
  3. Family Only: The donors are from family or emotionally related or cadavers (after brain death). HLA-matched donors are better because of less chances of rejections and first reduction of immunosuppressive.
  4. Doing Your Part: Once transplant is done - patient becomes normal and he/she lives a normal life. However, they have to take regular medications and to protect themselves from various infection.
  5. End Stage Renal Diseases: These diseases includes diabetes mellitus, HTN, polycystic kidney disease, chronic glomerulonephritis or interstitial nephritis etc.

Consult a Nephrologist before going for renal transplant for detailed check up or line of action.

How could I get out the stones which are in my kidney

Advanced Aesthetics
Ayurveda,
Calcury tab and vrikkaharadosh tab and neeri syrup and chandraprabha vati for 1month any queries inform me the water and potassium content that is present in watermelon is an essential ingredient for a healthy kidney. It helps in regulating and maintaining the level of acid present in the urine. Eating watermelon or drinking its juice everyday will help in flushing out stones from the kidney a proper diet is essential in keeping the kidney healthy and prevent formation of kidney stones. Drinking plenty of water and other fluids or liquids daily will help prevent most types of kidney stones. Consuming too much of calcium rich foods such as spinach, beet, cauliflower, carrots, almonds, sweet breads, coconut, turnip, bengal gram, peas, whole-wheat flour and organ meats like liver and kidney can lead to kidney stones. One should also know to choose a diet that is low in salt and animal proteins. Keep away from condiments such as pickle, alcohol drinks, sauce, cucumber, radish, tomato, asparagus, onion, cabbage, meat and gravies as well as carbonated water. Any queries inform me.

Hello lybrate-user as you asked about your problems related to your night emission unknowingly. I would like to suggest you for your problems related to your nights emission, you should not worried about it. It happens with everyone unknowingly but it is harmful because of getting harmonic imbalances. You may follow some regular routines of getting all dietary measures and daily behaviours as well as exercise and yoga and morning walk every day. You may use light diets and soups of carrots and beetroot with ginger and haldi including ghee and nuts every day. Warm milk boiled with ginger and haldi including ghee and nuts every day before going to bed and at breakfast. Avoid oily or junk food and sour products e. G. Pickles etc and nonveg. You may have to go to bed timely with washing your feet.

Lower urinary tracts symptoms in association with dysuria can also result from conditions like overactive bladder and interstitial cystitis. If the urine tests do not suggest infection then you may require more tests like an ultrasound of the abdomen along with assessment of post void residual urine to see if there is any stone or abnormal thickening of your urinary bladder. Subsequently some medicines to tackle your problem can be suggested.

Hi. It can be a UTI or STD or prostatitis if blood is typically seen after ejaculation. You require abstinence for 2 wks. Get your wife examined for STD by a gynaecologist. Get a urine routine and urine culture done. Also get semen analysis and semen culture done. Treatment will be based on reports. Drink lot of water. Kindly review back with reports.
