Hi take hot water bath twice daily, sleep on hard and even mattress. Kindly rule out your diabetes, calcium, vitamin d and other metabolic disorders. Best wishes.

Cause of cramps are many ,from dehydration, electrolyte imbalance, calcium ,vitamin D deficiency, B12 deficiency, circulatory issues etc. Consult a physician for tests. Do stretching exercises after oil massage of legs. Calcium,vitamin D, B12 supplementation, lots of water and fruit juice may prevent.

If your doing physical work, do not go for work, take rest for 3 days. And also avoid vigorius walking prolong standing wear knee cap.

hi vidya!!! head n back pain is common in pregnancy.only your BP should not be high.correct posture is important. use balm for headache.use pain sprays for backache. weight will increase don't worry. indigestion and acidity is also common.avoid fatty n spicy foods.take antacid syrup like digene half hour before meals. start going for a walk daily.you'll feel more active. these simple tips will help you feel better. if not then consult your obstetrician.

It appears that you are overweight. Take steps by doing regular exercises, gong for a brisk walk. Pl ask somebody to massage your spinal column from neck down upto sacral bone using both hands ie both thumbs on one side other fingers on other side do only from neck and not from sacral to the neck. Yo can also use a wodden roller purchased from a accupressure items shop. Identify the dipping portion on the back of your knee folding. Press this dip with both middle fingers and hold your knee with your thumbs for support. Swing 20 times morning and evenings. This will relieve your problem. Also take calcium tablets for a limited period 2 months consult after 10 days.

Take physiotherapy treatment and learn exercise for spine. Don't lift heavy things. Don't sit on floor. Take calcium; multivitamin and vitamin d 3 also.

1) I have L4-L5 extrusion seen in scan. Back started started when I did a severe exercise in nov, 2008. Pain sometimes lowers and sometime it aggravates. Severe back pain now at the lower back. 2) I have wrinkled skin and I have become more darker in the last 3 years. I am 40 years. I have works at night shifts till 2 am. Is that a problem for skin? 3) In the last 3 to 5 years, many reddish brown moles have come on the different parts of the body. Some black moles also. 4) Prostate is slightly large and I have frequent urination with residue of 15%. Pls advise.

Dear lybrate-user, l4-5 extruded disc if giving you frequent problems, then it may need surgical excision. Had it been just disc bulge, non operative management would always suffice. Surgery or no surgery is your choice. Surgery will give you long term results. It may also settle down with rest and medicines.

I am giving some health tips for Migraine headache ?1.You can turn off light for some time ?2.Apply hot or cold compresses to your head or neck. ?Ice packs have a numbing effect, which may dull the sensation of pain. ?Hot packs and heating pads can relax tense muscles. ? ?3.Warm showers or baths may have a similar effect. ?4.You can take Tea or coffee( but not excess) 5.Sleep well Here are some tips to encourage sound sleep. Establish regular sleep hours. ?Minimize distractions. ?Your eating habits can influence your migraines. ?Be consistent. Eat at about the same time every day. Don't skip meals. Fasting increases the risk of migraines Avoid foods that trigger migraines kindly consult Physician for further management LEG PAIN: 1.You can take Tablet Paracetamol 500 mg one tablet stat after food 2.You Can do Hot fomentation twice a day for 3 days I am giving to some common reasons for LEG PAIN 1. generalized weakness 2. Anaemia 3. physical exertion and any Trauma 4. lack of protein in Diet 5. any infection present on leg or foot 6. muscle weakness 7 abrupt start/ stop of physical exercise 8. Vit D and Calcium Deficiency

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. You are very young to actually have persistent back pains. If you have localized back pain with no other symptoms like radiating leg pain, neurological symptoms like numbness, weakness, paresthesias etc, then you can start with following recommendations for initial period of 2-3 weeks: - to maintain proper posture of your back while working and sleeping - if pain is more then you can take a short course of an anti-inflammatory medication like tab etoshine or paracetamol or one which suits you - physical therapy initially under supervision of a trained physiotherapist and then to continue at home - adequate calcium & vitamin d intake if levels are low in body - ice packs can applied if your pain is acute, then hot fomentation can be done at home - analgesic spray for local application can be used and is easily available. - avoid lifting heavyweight/ acute forward bending in mornings etc we will observe you for next 2-3 weeks how you respond to this conservative management protocol. If you are not feeling better, then we will have to get some investigations like, dynamic x rays of lower back and few blood tests for evaluation. I can feel cracking sound from my knees once I bend my knees between 135- 90 degrees The doctor has diagnosed osteoarthritis and advised not to climb stairs. I do not have constant pain, but If I walk 2-3 km, I feel pain on my back/pelvis. My mother has acute OA and she find it difficult to move and cannot travel more than 5-10 meters that to with support. What exercise do you suggest to delay any surgery or knee transplant op in future ?
