Few advice to stop bleeding gums-- - visit to a dentist for professional cleaning once in a year - use a soft toothbrush -- and brush properly! brush your teeth for at least two minutes twice a day and after meals. Hard brushing can further damage the soft tissues of your mouth. - floss at least once a day and be sure to floss beyond the gum line to remove more plaque. - control bleeding by applying pressure to the area with a cold compress. - rinse with salt water to keep the area clean. - avoid mouthwashes that contain alcohol, which can dry out your mouth. - stay away from smoking and other tobacco products, which can aggravate bleeding gums.

What are the precaution taken for tooth cavity.

BDS, oral implantology
Dentist,
Cavity should be filled first and it should be on urgent basis. Otherwise it can go deep and cause pain. To avoid tooth cavities avoid sticky and sugary food. Brush twice a day.

If the tooth is grade 3 mobile.Than go for extraction and replacement of that tooth with a bridge or implant. But before that check the other teeh condition.U might need a periodontal expertise.Go for scaling of other teeth as well.Ask the dentist to check your periodontal condition of the other teeth so that the same does not happen to other teeth as well

Tongue cleaning is as important as brushing. Clean your tongue everytime you brush to reduce accumulation of deposits, which can lead to bad odour.

I'm 18 years old. I'm suffering from tooth cavity. What should I do?

BDS
Dentist,
Most common treatment available for dental cavity is filling. It may be silver, cement or resin depending on type of cavity. If cavity is deep and patient is suffering from pain and sensitivity then root canal treatment may be required.

I have bad breath I did proper brushing cleaning my teeth visiting a doctor but no response I get from this bad breath.
•Eat a healthy, balanced diet and avoid eating strongly flavoured or spicy food. •Cut down on sugary food and drink, as it can increase the amount of bacteria in your mouth. •Reduce your alcohol consumption. •Stop smoking. •Cut down on coffee. •Drink plenty of water to help prevent your mouth becoming dry. •Chew sugar-free gum after eating, to stimulate the flow of saliva. This will help clean away any remaining food particles. •Don't use toothpaste to clean your dentures, as it can scratch the surface and cause stains. •Clean your dentures thoroughly using soap and lukewarm water, denture cream or a denture-cleaning tablet. •Use a separate toothbrush to clean your dentures. •Make sure you visit your dentist for regular check-ups. Having regular dental check-ups will ensure that any plaque is removed from your teeth, particularly in areas that are difficult to reach. •Your dentist can recommend the best way to clean your teeth and gums, and point out areas you might be missing. They can also identify any signs of gum disease and ensure early treatment. •Gastritis, lung & sinus infection may also be the cause of bad smell in the mouth. 90% of bad breath is due to a dirty tongue. •If your bad breath is caused by a gastrointestinal problem, such as an H. Pylori infection or gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GORD), you may be referred to a gastroenterologist. •Persistent bad breath or a bad taste in the mouth may be a warning sign of gum (periodontal) disease. Gum disease is caused by the buildup of plaque on teeth. •You may need deep cleaning & fill tooth cavities with artificial enamel filling. Rinse your mouth thoroughly with a mouth wash until then. Advance procedures can be done with laser too. You may consult me in person.

My mouth often smells. So what should I do?

Advanced Aesthetics, BDS
Dentist,
Hi, there are various reasons of bad breath, like impurities in blood, inefficient digestive system, dry mouth (lack of saliva production), gum disease, cavities, plaque and tartar formation around teeth and gums, kind of diet, improper brushing / cleaning of mouth etc. I would advise you to get a thorough physical and dental examination to rule out the cause of bad breath and to solve it permanently. Regards

Bad breath. Bleeding gums are the result of fragile gums which is due to improper cleaning of teeth. This is the cause in most of the patients. Get your teeth cleaned professionally once a year with your dentist and you will see the improvement.

The child needs endodontic care. If you can get me a x-ray of the teeth I will be able to tell you better. But in most of the cases root canal can be done and ss crowns given because the tooth beneath is gonna erupt at least 5-6 years later and we need to save the tooth for proper guidance to the permanent tooth. I hope this helps.
