Hi. My anxiety started from light headedness. Few weeks I became alright. I thought its general light headedness then I went to general physician. He did all blood tests in which my hemoglobin was low, my fbs was on borderline. Thyroid profile was lil bit high. Vit d was also low and cbc result was fine so he prescribed me medicines for all of that but suddenly I got panic attack and I that this lightheadedness is occurring due to cancer, infct my all tests were done as I hv mentioned above. Do not know y I got stuck on cancer word and I got panic attack. Although my treatment is going on for the same. Will I be fine? My question is only this all happened due to light headedness. So light headedness is part of anxiety? I mean is light headedness initial level of anxiety? Although I hv heard dat palpitations, fear etc happen first in anxiety. Thn y light headedness? please reply.

Hi lybrate-user, I can understand your feelings and your worries are not false. When some symptoms occur we tend to think negative outcomes first. So you thought of cancer. Here you have to educate yourself for various causes of lightheadedness. Analyse deeply when you felt it for the first time did you change your schedule suddenly? Or you were dehydrated? Or were you having any infection? Think and write down all the possible causes. You are now over thinking about it. So first pause and think of the causes of lightheadedness. You will be fine once you treat this. It may be due to your imbalanced thyroid levels or vit D level too. So don't worry. Also read about anxiety also. I would suggest you to get your vitamin B 12 check also. Have healthy diet and drink lots of water. For further consultation you may take appointment with me.

How to stop snoring while sleeping! and I am addicted to smoking how to loos that habit. Please do let me know.

These are some methods & instruction for releif in snoring: • Exercise daily and running, jogging. Do long breathing exercise pranayam daily. • Clear nasal passage (nose) before sleeping. You can take steam for 2 - 3 minutes to clear the passage. • Change your sleeping position, elevate your pillow slightly while sleeping. • Sleep on a side not on back. • Avoid smoking and excess drinking alcohol. Do not take sedative medicines. • You can do some throat exercises. Repeat these vowel a, e, i, o, you loudly three minutes few times in a day. Place your tongue tip behind your teeth and move backward three times in a day. Move your jaw in left side with open mouth for 30 seconds and in right side for 30 seconds. • You can also try for anti snoring mouth appliance.

It seems that for one or the other reason you are accumulating stress and in that stress your behavior is less than what you expect. This could be due to some change which happened recently in your life or might be due to our modern life style which causes this stress. It could also be due to change in your life. And you might not know what direction your life might take turn if you have finished your study and either looking for a work or life partner or some profession course. Or it could be for any other such reason. When we are stressed it is natural for us to feel lonely, feel sad and down and at times feel irritated, frustrated and get angry. As we take time out to do so many thing in our daily life we also need to learn how to take care of our inner self. How to nurture and grow our true self. Following tips will help you rebuild new response when you are stressed. Chronic stress is a byproduct of our busy life style these days, which at times leads to feeling of burnout and depression. Building your resilience will help you manage your stress and help in depression. Try following things to learn relaxation response which leads to better coping mechanism on a daily basis. To begin with doing guided progressive muscular relaxation before sleeping will help you relax. You could google and download an audio file. I would also suggest you to take a multiple small break to take 3 nice and deep breath while keeping your eyes closed. You could do this while sitting or standing or while even walking or climbing stairs (keep your eyes open in that case). When you take a nice and deep break there is actual physiological change in your body. This will help you to activate parasympathetic nervous system which promotes relaxation and helps you calm down and think more clearly. This will also actually improve your performance in your work. Along with this exercise is one of the best way to relive stress and stay fit. Engage in any kind of physical activity at least 4 times a week. This also helps in stress reduction. Along with this some relaxation exercises as well as engaging in joyful activities such as music, singing, dancing, reading, being in nature, gardening, talking with friends or anything which you enjoy will help reducing stress and rejuvenation of your mind and body. Have good routine for sleep and eating. Lot of research has now proven that sugar is very harmful for our health. Reduce sugar and refined white floor in your diet as much as you could. Along with this also increase consumption of raw vegetables in the form of salad in both the meals of your day. As a positive psychologist and a certified life and wellness coach I would be able to help build resilience and confidence to take on life and learn how to excel in what you do. Hello lybrate-user. Following are some suggestions:- Make yourself busy. Start working instead of worrying. If you're just sitting idle, you will just keep thinking of something or the other, continuously running your mind, which will make you suffer. The same time can be used for doing valuable things. Sports and hobbies Start taking part in outdoor sports and other activities like swimming, etc. Also if you have some hobbies go ahead and follow them. Become socially active Talk with people. Try to make new friends. Engage in conversation with new people. Start attending social gatherings. This will not only increase your social circle, but also you will gain confidence and start enjoying the company of others. Volunteer/ Help other Work for some organization that helps the poor and the needy. Try to help others. By doing this you will help yourself as you will gain satisfaction and self contentment by helping others. Also, you may bring a smile to someone's face which is priceless :) Meditation (most important) And also, if you want, You could try doing meditation. It is really nice thing to meditate as it gives joy, bliss and happiness from within. If you want you could try SAHAJA YOGA meditation. It is the easiest one, you won't even need to do much efforts and it's totally FREE. It will help you alot (physically, mentally, emotionally and in all other aspects of your life). Dose, duration of treatment and number of medications for anxiety disorders are decided according to various factors which include patient profile, nature and severity of symptoms, associated symptoms of sleep, diet, concentration, cognition, paranoia, aggression etc. So it is advisable to consult a psychiatrist personally with details before you start any treatment. Switching over of ongoing treatments for anxiety to so called natural treatments is completely a patients choice.

Hi I am 29 years old woman, 4 years back I got married, initially we both were very happy with each others company, after 3 months I got conceived. Since then he started rejecting me. But i'm not able to understand the reason. He never allow me to touch his phone. He has lots of girl friends. Accidentally if I see his phone there will be a chat with his friends, he never talk to me with love and care. I am getting dipressed day by day. He loves his mother. I can feel how stressed you are. I think, it is better for you to distract yourself by focussing your mind on your children and learning new skills to earn money in your home itself. I need to know what my mental health issue is. I have not been diagnosed but I have depression and social anxiety. I have symptoms of borderline personality disorder as well. I might be bipolar, but I can not tell. Sometimes I feel absolutely on top of the world and suddenly I feel like I can not do anything. Sometimes when I feel good I do risky things like try to go on top of buildings or act hyper. I have most control but also have thoughts of stealing cars, running away for no reason etc. Since im young, it could just be my hormones but its extremely confusing and tiring.

From today onwards, keep stomach light at night, eat light food, once a week clean the stomach by herbal chooran, start deep breathing exercise, start meditation. After a week start brahmi tablet and shankhpushpi syrup as directed. Then report every two weeks. See response in six months. U ll be positive person.

Ideally you must spend a lot of time convincing him to stop the smoking. Of course he will agree sometimes and sometimes he will change his mind. Giving up is difficult but if you highlight the dangers of smoking regularly he may one day decide to quit. Never give up on him. Because of his age and quantity of cigarettes smoked and the length of abuse, he will find is even harder. When quitting, he must take one day at a time. If he looks too far ahead he will get discouraged and will give up. If he sits and counts the number of days he has given up, that will also focus too much on achievement. He must focus on the here and now, on that day to be precise. After all quitting is not that easy due to many factors. So even if he fails one day, he must try and try again. Very few people succeed in their first attempt. His persistence and yours will eventually pay off. The urge to discontinue is hampered by many factors but the worst of them is the conditioning. In fact these conditions can exist all through the day unlike other addictions. But his desire to want to stop is the most important factor. It is important to find out about the ill-effects of smoking to have a reason that alarms him about continuing in the habit. The information is really scary but true and he must remind himself about this every day. The nicotine in tobacco smoke stimulates the heart beat to raise the blood pressure in no time at all. So he must avoid it like the plague: it is just very bad medicine for him. In fact it is highly toxic too. He will need to stop smoking or consuming any tobacco related items with immediate effect. He should start vigorous exercises, gradually increasing it over a period of time. Do deep breathing exercises every time he feels like smoking (try Yoga), and replace the oral urge with some healthy food substitute to satiate the need. He may also take hard candy or chewing gum. If the urge is too strong, then use nicotine chewing gum or nicotine patches, for a little while until the smoking drive reduces, substantially. He may also join Smokers Anonymous in your city where the support is really extraordinary for like-minded people who are also in the same situation. Keep him occupied or engaged with interesting activities during the times when it is most tempting. Keep the company of non-smokers for some time i. E. At least for the first 21 days. Above all announce it to everyone that he has quit smoking. Here’s a piece of very good advice: even if he accidentally/willfully takes a cigarette, it is not the end of the world – he can start the cessation all over again. He must persevere with the best support until he defeats this addiction. Counseling is very useful in the initial stages and when temptations are at their highest. Everyone who can help him should be involved until he succeeds. If all this does not work, you can admit him into a rehabilitation center and let him stay there until he has completely quit the habit.

Avoid studying in or near the bed. Also dont study in a lying posture. change the subject you study every one to two hours for variety Take regular, scheduled breaks that fit you, For every thirty minutes of studies take five minutes break. During this break time just close your eyes and relax yourself, If you have been studying continuously in a sitting posture, get up and stretch yourself. You can even have a short walk which will make you feel active Use active studying techniques Walk around and read loudly For every fifteen minutes change the method of studying. For example first study loudly in a sitting posture, followed by writing down the points which you feel as important or the ones which needs frequent reading and review, then draw the related drawing graphs etc, then have a brief discussion or sharing of what you have studied with your friends or any other people around you. Involve in activities that does not demand your attention such as jogging and review what you have studied. Alternate between studying and such physical activity. Read out loud, record it in audio tapes for listening whenever you are less active Involve in discussions and debates with your friends or teachers on what you have studied and your understanding of the content. Create mental images about what you are studying, draw pictures and diagrams frequently to reinforce

HAIR Hair fall could b significant or just physiological without any systemic involvement. Firstly, don't stress over it. Meditate. Practice yoga. Relax yourself. Stress vil increase your hairfall. Drink two litres of water. Eat plenty of pulses, meat, fish and milk. Avoid hair cosmetics. Wash hair twice or thrice a week. Shampoo should be done to wash dirt, dust and grime and not for anything else. Don't use dyes, bleaches or straighteners. Massage scalp to improve circulation. After a bath, don't blow dry your hair instead naturally dry hair. If any scalp infection, get it treated. Any allergy should be taken care of. 1.tab biotin daily for 1 month 2.tab fe ( if your fe level is reeduce ) 3.scalp massage with antioxidant oil

My father aged 95 not in good state of mind. He keeps on speaking for hours. Talks of theft of his items etc. He talks about old friends who are no more. Sizodon is taking daily.

It appears he is suffering from dementia. Adjusting his sizodon dose and managing his dementia may improve his symptoms. His forgetfulness may be the reason for his talk about theft of his items. Though there may not be complete cure for dementia, the symptoms can be minimized.
