Once I fell down from bike and balanced my two palms from that event I got pain in my thumb and next finger of thumb, I already took xray, scan and nothing happened in bones and checked physiotherapy too, I have doubt in neurological problem? because I can do exercise and heavy lifting but small work writing and message typing I got pain in fingers and in palm under the thumb.

Better do have mri scan for your wrist joint affected side and do get clinically examined by musculoskeletal physiotherapist or orthopaedician asap.

Can any Dr suggest me home exercise for cervical problem which causes me pain at right hand fingers.

It seems like there might be some nerve compression due to which you have pain in fingers, there is some isometric exercises you can do at home like placing palm of your hand on forehead and pressing it against your hand same on left and right arround back portion of cheeks and back on f your head you might need some mannual traction too to relive the pain in your fingers too.

Hello, first of all you should know what is backache and by which factors it caused and aggravated. The usual cause of low back pain is the sedentary lifestyle that we lead these days. There is hardly any movement. We remain seated most of the time and stand for very short periods of time. Unfortunately walking, running and cycling like activities are also not a part of our daily routine. To add to it, our diet consists more and more of junk food. Fresh fruits, vegetables and high fibre foods are consumed less and less. These daily practices lead to obesity. The increased body weight puts lot of pressure on the spine which has to bear all the extra unwanted weight. The back muscles which are already weak due to lack of exercise and wrong posture are unable to cope with this increased load. This causes pain in the back muscles. Management for Back Pain:-Along with medicines for relieving pain, one needs to identify the cause and correct it. This may require some medicines or some correction in your posture or reducing weight or improving your lifestyle. At the same time, there is a need to work on the local muscle strengthening. Back muscles need to be strengthened so that they can bear the weight of the upper body. For this exercises of the back muscles are very helpful. Regular walking is also very helpful as it is a wholesome exercise of the body, improves blood circulation and helps lose weight. Most importantly if you are overweight then losing weight is an important part of the whole treatment plan .Long term use of painkillers for low back pain is harmful Treatment for back pain:- Homeopathic medicines are very helpful. They not only treat the acute stages but are also used for the treatment of chronic back pain.Selection of the exact remedy depends upon the individual symptoms of the person.So share the complete symptom picture for the proper treament. In the mean time take Arnica 200, 3 drops in the morning and Rhus tox. 200, 3 drops at night for 7 days.Take care.

Hello, you can take homoeopathic medicine Euphrasia 30 ( 4 drops in little water) thrice a day for 3 days. 2.Calci Aid ( Bakson) ( 2tabs) thrice a day for 15 days and revert. *Don't rub your eyes. *Keep your hands clean with regular washing and hand sanitizer.

Towel hamstring stretch lie on the back, supporting the thigh with the hand or with a towel wrapped around it. Slowly straighten the knee until a stretch is felt in the back of the thigh, trying to get the bottom of the foot to face the ceiling, one leg at a time. Hold the position initially for 10 seconds, and gradually work up to 20 to 30 seconds. Seated hamstring stretch while sitting at the edge of a chair, straighten one leg in front of the body with the heel on the floor. Then, sit up straight and try pushing the navel towards the thigh without leaning the trunk of the body forwards. Hold this stretch for 30 seconds repeat 3 times for each leg.

Dear visit a physiotherapy centre and get the treatment done as prescribed by the physiotherapist. You will be advised to take one or two physiotherapy modalities and along with that exercises for the knee would be taught which will resolve your problem.

. Do the cat/cow avoid bending in front. Postural correction- sit tall, walk tall. Apply hot fomentation twice daily. Extension exercises x 15 times x twice daily. Bhujang asana. Core strengthening exercises. Back stretchingstretch.

Hye myself 34 years old from hyderabad I had been working as an mechanic since 4 months suddenly I had backpain dont know what to do?

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. You have mentioned backache as your problem. If you have only localized backache with no other associated symptoms like radiating leg pain, numbness, paresthesias etc, and no systemic symptoms like fever, loss of appetite, loss of weight etc, my advice to you for initial 2-3 weeks will be: - to maintain proper posture while working and sleeping - if pain is more then you can take a short course of an anti-inflammatory medication like tab etoshine or even tab paracetamol which suits you - intensive physical therapy initially under supervision of a trained physiotherapist and then to continue at home - adequate calcium & vitamin d intake if levels are low in body - ice packs can applied 3-4 times in a day - analgesic spray for local application like dynapar qps spray can be used and is easily available. - avoid lifting heavyweight/ acute forward bending in mornings etc if you do not improve in 2-3 weeks with this conservative management, we will need to evaluate you further in form of dynamic x rays to look for any instability as a cause for pain and some blood investigations to rule out any deficiencies etc. Do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance. First we have to see what's the reason for pain. Then we can advice you treatment. It can be meniscus injury and ligament injury. Get MRI of knee at best centre with 3 tesla machine. This will give details of pathology. Then treatment can be advised.

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. You are very young to actually have persistent back pains. Simply bath with hit water. Add turmeric to hot milk and drink twice a day. Massage with mahavishgarbh oil before bathing (at least 1 hr before or previous night).

My friend, when he was a child met with an accident with a sharp object in his eye. He lost his eye sight due to that and now he has only a partial eye sight to that eye (can detect only shapes which are close and that too with blur). His eye pupil lost it's normal exact circular shape. He can see with his other eye and due to this, he got squint too. Now he wants to get back his vision to his eye. Question: 1. Is it possible to get back the vision back completely? 2. What is the problem and it's name which caused this condition to him? 3. Such kind of treatment or what should be done to get back his eye sight completely. Note: Somebody told him, there may be optical nerve damage. Is it true? If yes, then what should be done to get back his eye sight completely?

Hello. Sorry about your friend's eye problem. Coming to your first question: unfortunately, it would not be possible to get back complete vision in the damaged eye. Vision lost during childhood is difficult to recover after so many years. The initial years of life are the ones that determine the growth and development of the eye. During this period the eye learns to see. Once the vision is compromised during childhood, there is very less chance of recovering it at such a late stage. Coming to your second query, the name of the condition would be amblyopia (post traumatic) or lazy eye. Also, there may be associated wound related scars and structural defects in the eye. There may be damage to the retina, lens or the cornea of the eye. As you mentioned, damage to the optic nerve may have caused optic atrophy in the eye. Regarding to your third question, it might be possible to treat him for the squint. The misalignment of the eyes could be rectified by surgery but it would not recover vision for him. From the last 10 days I am having a pain in the joint between the thigh and upper body in my left leg .can't understand the nature of the pain ,whether it's a cramp or something else but when I exercise sometime the pain goes away. It is causing problem in any kind of movement during the pain. During the exercise there is sometimes bone noise from the knees. I cannot determine whom to consult.

Extension Exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times. Bhujang Asana -- Lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily. Core Strengthening Exercises- Straight Leg Raised With Toes Turned Outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day.
