Hair transplantation is of different types. Fue, fut being the most popular forms. Which method is appropriate for you can b decided only after examining your scalp. Maintenance vil involve taking tablets and applying medications along with other minor details which vil all b explained to you in case you decide to do it. It doesn't have too many risks if done with peop, e who know how to do it.

Iam having severe acne. What should I do? Iam a 21 year old girl. Acne persisting from 1 year.
Thank you for the query. Acne in young females can occur due to hormonal changes during puberty, skin sensitivity or may be due to some hormonal imbalances. 1. Try to wash your face regularly whenever you come from outside. 2. Follow three steps of skin care: cleaning, toning and moisturising with as many natural products as possible. 3. Avoid oily and fatty food. 4. Avoid oil based creams in case your skin is oily. 5. Avoid too much of makeup and make sure to wash it before you go to sleep. 6. Drink lots of water as it keeps the skin hydrated. 7. Do not pluck the acne as it may leave the scar. 8. Take proper sleep.

What Exactly Is Thalassaemia How Can It Be Treated?

MBBS Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery, MBA - Health Care Administration
General Physician, Delhi
What Exactly Is Thalassaemia How Can It Be Treated?

Thalassaemia, which is commonly referred to as thal, is a disorder of the blood which is inherited from the previous generation. This condition triggers the production of abnormal red blood cells in the body which in turn paves the way for chronic anaemia. Red blood cells play an indispensable role in carrying oxygen all through the body and hence any abnormality in this regard can result in thalassemia, the symptoms of which include, weakness all over the body, fatigue, faint and shortness of breath.

Understanding the type of thalassemia:
Thalassaemia is often thought to be an iron deficiency disease (anaemia), but can be differentiated with the aid of certain blood tests. This disease is a lifelong condition which requires efficient management. The type of thalassemia an individual is suffering from can be attributed to the number of faulty genes the person has inherited.

The two variants of thalassaemia are beta and alpha. In the case of alpha thalassemia, having one faulty gene would lead to no health problems while two faulty genes can cause mild anaemia. If there are three mutated genes, it will cause Haemoglobin H disease, and regular blood transfusions may be required. But an unborn child with four mutated genes will not be viable enough to survive the pregnancy.

The beta thalassaemia also comes in various forms. The beta thalassaemia major needs lifelong transfusion of blood and it is the most common form of thalassaemia across the world. The beta thalassemia intermedia do not have to depend on blood transfusion.

Treating thalassaemia:
The treatment option for mild thalassaemia is entirely dependent on the type of the disease and how intense it is. When the disease is on a mild and minor level, then there may not be need of any comprehensive treatment. But at times, blood transfusions become necessary especially after undergoing surgery or when the thalassaemia causes complications.

People who are affected by severe levels of beta thalassaemia will require transfusion of blood from time to time. The treatment also causes an overload of iron and thus it is important to remove the surplus iron content. There are several oral medications available for this, and the healthcare provider can recommend suitable medications.

Managing moderate to severe thalassaemia:
Some of the most general methods of managing and treating thalassaemia include

  1. Frequent blood transfusions: When the thalassaemia gets too severe, it becomes necessary to opt for blood transfusion after every few weeks. The blood transfusion can cause iron build up with the passage of time. This, in turn, can affect the heart and lungs along with other crucial organs. Therefore, it is important to take medicines that can eliminate the extra iron.
  2. Stem cell transplant: Also referred to as the bone marrow transplant, the stem cell transplant can be the best bet. It is recommended for kids who are born with severe thalassaemia. This treatment option can mitigate the need of a lifelong transfusion of blood and intake of drugs for controlling the iron overload.

I am suffering from dry cough last week nd it sometimes chest pains. Can you suggest something.
Hi lybrate-user, A dry cough is certainly a painful infection because your throat is stopped producing phlegm and without it, the throat becomes dry and irritating. It is something that can damage the tissues. Thankfully, there is a moderate, possible cure you can use to prevent a dry cough now we’re talking about home remedies that have all the aspects that have been utilized for a long time on to treat this throat issues. 1. Garlic - Garlic is an excellent natural remedy for dry cough, as its antibacterial properties help to relieve many ailments throughout the body, including the respiratory tract. It is a very effective remedy for unclogging the bronchial tubes. First, crush ten garlic cloves and place in a cup of olive oil to soak overnight. The next day, strain the liquid and put in a closed container. Take one tablespoon daily on an empty stomach until finished. You’ll notice results after the first few tablespoons. 2. Eucalyptus and Lemon Vapor - Vapor or mist is great for eliminating phlegm and one of your best allies in unclogging bronchial tubes and eliminating cough. To make a vapor bath, boil a liter of water with eucalyptus and lemon leaves. You can also use the juice of several lemons instead. It’s ready when it starts boiling. Lower the heat and cover your head with a towel and, taking care not to burn yourself, Place your head over the container and rising steam. The towel will make it easier to breathe in the vapors and unclog the bronchi to put an end to that cough. 3. Drink plenty of liquids, but they should be at room temperature; you shouldn’t be drinking anything cold. 4. If the cough hasn’t cleared up after a week, you should consult a doctor. Don’t leave it to the last minute (complications often develop). Seek urgent medical attention if the cough is accompanied by fever, chest pains, or if you have difficulty breathing, 5. Boil a cup of water with three tablespoons of linseed for five minutes. Remove from heat and add some lemon juice and a tablespoon of honey. It should be taken 3 times a day. 6. Turmeric - Add turmeric powder into hot water of a bowl, add black pepper. Boil the thing again for just a couple of minutes. Add a tablespoon of honey. Drink the mixture after brushing daily, this will show a tremendous improvement in your health, especially, persistent cough is brought down, and it is assured to be a healthy cure for a cough. You can also add up cinnamon sticks for flavor and also to create a detox effect in the body. Detox treatment is a great need at this time of a dry cough. To state extensively, accumulation of foreign material is the primary cause of coughs and all. Hope this helps. Good Luck.

Protein-rich foods such as fish, and iron-rich foods such as dates, raisins and liver, all help strengthen the hair shaft, which leads to less hair loss. Vitamin C enables good absorption of iron, and citrus fruits are the best sources of this vitamin. Vitamin E has several positive effects on the skin and hair. Consuming avocado, nuts and olive oil provides a fair amount of vitamin E to your body.

Dear user. Please don’t panic. You must understand ERECTILE DYSFUNCTION. There is nothing called erectile dysfunction while having masturbation. Loosing erection in the initial stages of sex or not having erection at all or having late erection or lack of sexual desire are called erectile dysfunction. Erectile dysfunction can be a sign of a physical or psychological condition. It can cause stress, relationship strain, and low self-confidence. I suggest sex therapy.
