When I wake up from bed my back starts paining very badly. What should I do? Please advise.
Kindly show me a photograph of the affected part. Rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomantation. Paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck, back & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. You will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, contact me again. Do not ignore. It could be beginning of a serious problem.

Daily 80 km on bike is the reason behind back pain. Our body is not made for such activities daily. During young age it is ok. You will find it hard as your age increases. You need to take precautions. If possible, go by bus or 4 wheeler. That will provide back support. If not, then check stock up of your bike every 3 months. Do back strengthening exercises.

Dear you can follow these methods for relief from Backache(back pain): * First correct your sitting posture. Do not bend your lower back.You can use lumber belt for support. * Do regular back strength exercises.Move your clockwise and anticlock wise. * Do not sleep on very soft bed ,sleep on slight hard cotton mattress. * Do Tadasana and Bhjangasana for back strengthening.If you can not understand these asans you can consult me. * Take calcium rich diet and calcium and vitamin D supplements regularly. *Do not Take any heavy weight or heavy work. * If you are over weight then follow a good and effective diet plan to loose some kilos of weight. Tk pillow for back support. Tk muscle relaxant medicine. Heat fermentation twice a day. Sir straight and do stretching exercise of spine. And according your drive physiotherapy treatment best at present time.

Do bridging exercise lying supine position and bend your both knee and lift your back for 10 sec hold then down do 15 times. Slr. Same lying supine position then raise your leg according your comfortable ness one by one. Spine extension exercise stretching exercise. Avoid heavy weight, toward bending, long sitting and standing.

Please send ur investigation reports. This type of backache is may be due to overweight or deficiency of vitamin d3 and calcium or due to poor posture. Till then follow these advice:- 1. Take calcium supplements and sun bath daily to prevent further damage to your joints. 2. Avoid heavy lifting. 3. Avoid squatting and weight bearing activities. 4. Use western toilet. 5. Wear shock absorbing, good quality of shoes while walking. 6. Keep roll of a towel under your knees while sleeping. 7. Perform some gentle exercises and stretching of your all joints before getting out of your bed. 8. Walk straight with shoulder protracted. I will explain you stiffness and pain reducing techniques in the next session. Wish you a happy and pain free life thanks.

Avoid sitting on sofa and bed. Practice yogasanas (kati uttanasan, bhujangasan, shalbhasan, makrasan, markatasan, chakrasan). Sit in vajrasan. For shoulder gomukhasan, shoulder stretching and sukshma vyayam. Consult orthopaedic surgeon if symptoms persist.

Quadriceps exercises- lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core strengthening exercise- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. Repeat 10 times, twice a day.

Hello . At this age backache is mostly postural. If you don't have any neurological problem like numbness or tingling then pls go ahead with some kinda pain killer and physiotherapy with postural changes. Feel free to ask for any help or if you wanna discuss any reports you having.

Advice. Avoid sitting cross legged. Avoid squatting- quadriceps exercises- lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core strengthening exercise- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. Repeat 10 times, twice a day. Sports taping- stretch the tape from both ends and apply on the affected area contrast fomentation (hot and cold).
