Quadriceps exercises- lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core strengthening exercise- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. Repeat 10 times, twice a day.

I am 20 years old and suffering from shoulder pain like spondylitis. Give me some suggestions.

Massage with your thumbs from the mid points of the shoulder blades on both sides towards the lower back of your head up to lower level of the ears. Use oil or water for massage. Rotate your head clockwise and anticlockwise, forward and down, left and right a few times. Do for 5 to 10 times morning and evening. Give pressure the dipping point on the portion between the thumb and the index finger on the back of the palm. Press and release for 15 times where the pain is more. This will solve the problem. Further do some wrist rotation exercise. Consult after 5 days. For further guidance and treatment.

My right knee pains mildly only when I climb stairs. I jog, walk, long standing hours and run without any problem. I am 30years old male, should I be worried of the mild pain? If yes, any precautions I need to follow immediately to avoid bigger problems in future?

Caldikind plus (mankind) 1 tab odx5 days. 3. Fomentation with warm water. 4. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding. 5. Do knee & ankle exercises.(take help of a physiotherapist). Kindly make sure that you are not allergic to any of these medicines.(contact your family doctor, if needed). For emergency treatment contact your nearest hospital. Ance does not occur on thigh it may be furuncle you need physcial examination follow advice given below: 1. Maintain hygiene, avoid allergens 2. You can use calamine lotion local application for itching for 3-5 day 3. Avoid synthetic cloth and prefer cotton cloth.

Sports taping- stretch the tape from both ends and apply on the affected area contrast fomentation (hot and cold).

I am having a severe back pain from yesterday's morning when I woke up and it is paining till now. What to do?

Hello. Maintain a right standing and sitting posture, keep your back always straight, avoid carrying weight on back. Hold or carry weight divided equally in both the hands or shoulders (to avoid over straining on one particular hand or shoulder). Lie down on bed on your back without pillow. Exercise: Practice Shavasana or Corpse Pose as it looks like a dead body. If practiced correctly and with full efforts, can relax every body part, relaxing not only the body but also the mind: Spread the legs one to two feet apart, the toes are turned outwards, the heels facing each other, a comfortable distance apart. Bring the arms a little away from the body, palms turned upward. Relax the neck and allow it to turn to the side if it is more comfortable. Close the eyes and focus the attention on the body, breathing normally. Medication: Take homoeopathic medicines - Arnica 200 and Rhus Tox. 200 - take both of them thrice daily for 1 week. Also, apply Schwabe's Topi-Arnica and Topi MP Gel on the affected area in circular motions gently thrice a day. Get back to me thereafter.

Hello Lybrate user .u might have developed shin pain because maximum load on fascia, muscle sum time up to bone level .stop running for few day, start calf stretches, apply ice packs for 20 min, do myofascial rel for all surrounding muscles of leg, don't run on hard surface, wear sports shoes .ths will help u.thanks.

Lybrate-user ji you hv not mentioned your age. Bt looking to your height your weight is ok not more so you do not need to reduce your weight. Bt you can take some precaution like do not use stairs as far as possible. Do not bend you knee more than 90 degree means do not squate. Use western toilet instead of indian toilet. While taking lunch dinner or breakfast use dinning table nd do not sit on floor. Nd yes if you can join a gym or go to a physiotherapist he wil guide you some exercise which wil strength your quadriceps muscle.

My wife is 30years old she have both kidney stones and suffering from low back pain, how can do care?

Kidney stones can be easily removed with the help of ayurvedic diet & lifestyle measures. Send me an ultrasound report of the stone till then, you can do the following home remedies: 1) take a equal mixture of lemon juice & olive oil 4-4 spoons 2) have a mixture of apple vinegar & honey. 3) boil two figs in a cup of water and drink it on an empty stomach early in the morning 4) drink a glass of tomato juice with a pinch of salt and pepper every morning. For backache do following home remedies: 1) mix camphor in coconut oil and boil it. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful do hot fomantation. Paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do knee & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. For emergency treatment contacts your nearest hospital or family doctor. If it doe s not give relief in 4-5days, contact me again. Why not discuss with me in a video conference?
