I m 24 yrs male. Dear sir a small wound create in my mouth due to eating gutkha 1st time from 8 days ego, still it not cure. And some times my teeth is bleeding and and also smelling bad kindly consult me plz.

BHMS
Homeopath, Faridabad
Hello. If there is wound and you eat gutka, so I would suggest you to give the habit of gutka. But before that go to a nearby Dentist to get it examined, in case needed will have to get the biopsy test done for proper diagnosis. For the meantime, can have homoeopathic medication which is very safe to take - Merc. Sol. 30/ thrice daily for 10days.

Taking a large no. Of medications often leads to a dry mouth. Increase your fluid intake or ask your dentist about an artifical saliva product or chew sugarless gum after a meal to keep your mouth moist.

If it is not in place and impacting on others or is very painful then you may have to remove it.. But if it is coming out and you are feeling pain for that then you may take homoeopathic medicine Mag Carb 30 tds... will help in smooth eruption of teeth.

My mouth stinks after brushing my mouth even though I brush well. I think it's due to my bad stomach (gastric problem). What are the causes and remedies?

PGDHHM, BDS
Dentist, Gurgaon
Bad breath can be due to some foods, poor oral hygiene, tobacco, medications, systemic diseases etc. Treatment:- 1. Brush twice daily, morning and at night. 2. Rinse your mouth after all meals. 3. Use a mouthwash 4. Get regular cleaning of teeth done by your dentist, once in 6 months. 5. Have a healthy balanced diet. 6. Dental check up every 6 months to rule out any cavities, etc. 7. Get a full body check up done.

I had a dental problem I am suffering long enough with the same problem when should I different your types.

Root canal treatment is needed when the blood or nerve supply of the tooth (called the ‘pulp') is infected through decay or injury. You may not feel any pain in the early stages of the infection. In some cases your tooth could darken in colour, which may mean that the nerve of the tooth has died (or is dying). This would need root canal treatment.

Gum diseases can be treated and reversed in their initial stages very easily. By getting the accumulated tartar and plaque removed by a dentist, there is a chance that they can get better without much ado.

Keeping your brush at a 45 degree angle while brushing so that the bristles do not hurt your gums.

Ulcers generally take 1-2 weeks to heal completely. Recurrent ulcers can be due to local mouth conditions such as rough teeth surface or rough mouth appliances or dentures n cheek bites. It can also b due to general nutrtional deficiency, digestion prob, work pressure n stressful lifestyle etc. Certain bacterial n viral infections also cause ulcers. Treatment: start on multivitamin tabs which includes vit c n iron supplements if your hb% levels r low. Apply dologel oral ointment on ulcers thrice daily. Avoid spicy n oily food, alcohol, tea n coffee. Drink plenty of water n hv fibrous n citrous foods. Visit dentist to rule out oral factors responsible for ulcers.

when deposition of plaque and calculus starts around teeth, this causes gum infection and bleeding gums. this can be cured with professional cleaning of your teeth by dentist. also have cold food and beverage for the first day after cleaning and you can get on to normal diet from the next day. start warm saline rinses from second day 3-4 times a day.

I am suffering from sensitivity to cold in my tooth. What are the paste n mouthwash that I can use ?

Advanced Aesthetics, BDS
Dentist, Mumbai
Hi, teeth have a protective layer called enamel with age the enamel wears off and become thin which causes to become teeth sensitive to cold and hot. You need to get a professional check up done to know the exact cause and solution of your problem. Without checking you clinically we can't suggest anything. Regards

I want to add the clamps on my teeth so what time required to remove this clamps ?

MDS - Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery
Dentist, Chennai
We need more investigations (model study, full mouth & profile x-ray) to decide upon treatment. You may need fixed / removable braces. Requirements may depends on the age, complaint, duration of the treatment & affordability. Cost of cosmetic dentistry (braces) varies with dentist. Dental tips: - visit a dentist every six months for cleaning and a thorough dental check-up. Limit sugary food to avoid tooth decay. Gargle your mouth thoroughly after every meal. Scrub gently to clean your tongue with a tongue cleaner. Floss all your teeth inter dentally & brush twice daily, morning & night, up & down short vertical strokes, with ultra-soft bristles, indicator brush. Tooth brush to be changed every 2 months.

I have pain in a teeth .I asked a doc he advice to perform rct. Is this OK or I should remove it out. Please help.

MDS Prosthodontics, BDS

If rct is the treatment planned then that's the only way to save the tooth. Otherwise you can get the tooth removed too and get it replaced later.
