I am 37 years old male after 9 years of long struggle I got married 9 months before with my lover I cried and I got more problems in this period, after marriage my grandma died within 3 months she is very affectionate to me I always caring grandma and frequent visiting to hospital for grandma and after death of grandma within a week I got panic attack and then I take medicine from General Physician for a week and stopped and after 1 month again I got panic attack I take same medicine and stop after a week and after 1 month again I got panic attack I went MD neurologist he suggest me to take medicine for at least 4 to 6 months now I am on 4th month but till now im feeling sometimes anxious, dizziness, always thinking about my health like I would die and I can not travel alone in a bus and lack of interest and feeling uncomfortable in chest can not take spicy food. But panic attacks is not shown from past 4 months thank god. Please suggest me what to do further im just 9 months married im trying for baby I got varicocele problem also for that im. Taking medicine along with anxiety medicines in my wife get more worried about me.

Hi sir. My father age is 65 years, having no BP and sugar. Last week he suddenly fainted while standing, after that we admitted in hospital. Doctor said that due to viral fever White blood cells and platelet count is low. Before that he did Neck Doppler CT scan test.In that impression it shows fibrocalcific plaque at left proximal ICA is approximately 34% diameter stenosis. And atheromatous plaque at right proximal ECA is about 36% diameter stenosis. Minimal intimal thickening in bilateral carotid bulbs. Can you please suggest any thing serious or how to reduce that plaque. Thanks in advance.

Hello, Lybrate user Cyncopal attack is caused due to insufficient supply of oxygen to brain being obstructed by carotid arteries in the case of your father but 34% & 36 of calcific plaque is not so alarming. You should go for Eco to find out the position of aortic valve, (aortic stenosis) supplying oxygenised blood to the system. Tk care.

I got migraine headaches how can I manage with this I want a treatment any home remedy.?

Try to apply ice cubes covered with any cloth for some time, or take hot fomentation, vapourization. Try to find which one is giving better relief for your migraine. Press the neck muscles, & over the head, temple[sides]] of forehead] in circular, clockwise, & anti clock wise way. Doing this daily also will show effect in reducing the intensity & frequency of the attacks of ha. Take plenty of water[better to take minimum 1 litre of lukewarm water in morning with empty stomach is better for all purpose]. If you find any relation with any food or any stress related thing that causing you getting, then try to avoid that like sun exposure. Have good sleep. Practicing daily pranayama, breathing exercises also will help in best way. Take lemon & ginger mixed tea r warm water to get relief from this pain, for that time being.

I am giving some health tips for Migraine headache •1.You can turn off light for some time •2.Apply hot or cold compresses to your head or neck. •Ice packs have a numbing effect, which may dull the sensation of pain. •Hot packs and heating pads can relax tense muscles. •3.Warm showers or baths may have a similar effect. •4.You can take Tea or coffee( but not excess) 5.Sleep well Here are some tips to encourage sound sleep. Establish regular sleep hours. •Minimize distractions. •Your eating habits can influence your migraines. •Be consistent. Eat at about the same time every day. Don't skip meals. Take Paracetamol 500mg one Tablet sos after food, drink plenty of water and take rest.. Check your BP, avoid stress and anxiety since it precipitates migraine attack If You have chronic migraine, you have to take migraine prophylaxis after consulting neurologist

Insomnia: What You Need To Know?

These symptoms can be so bad that they affect a person's relationships or work life. Plus, they can happen even in people who seem to be sleeping enough hours.

Are there tests I should have? — probably not. Most people with insomnia need no tests. Your doctor or nurse will probably be able to tell what is wrong just by talking to you. He or she might also ask you to keep a daily log for 1 to 2 weeks, where you keep track of how you sleep each night.

In some cases, people do need special sleep tests, such as" polysomnography" or" actigraphy"

●polysomnography – polysomnography is a test that usually lasts all night and that is done in a sleep lab. During the test, monitors are attached to your body to record movement, brain activity, breathing, and other body functions.

●actigraphy – actigraphy records activity and movement with a monitor or motion detector that is usually worn on the wrist. The test is done at home, over several days and nights. It will record how much you actually sleep and when.

What can I do to improve my insomnia? — you can follow good" sleep hygiene" that means that you:

●sleep only long enough to feel rested and then get out of bed

●go to bed and get up at the same time every day

●do not try to force yourself to sleep. If you can't sleep, get out of bed and try again later.

●have coffee, tea, and other foods that have caffeine only in the morning

●avoid alcohol in the late afternoon, evening, and bedtime

●avoid smoking, especially in the evening


●keep your bedroom dark, cool, quiet, and free of reminders of work or other things that cause you stress

●solve problems you have before you go to bed

●exercise several days a week, but not right before bed

●avoid looking at phones or reading devices (" e-books") that give off light before bed. This can make it harder to fall asleep.

Other things that can improve sleep include:

●relaxation therapy, in which you focus on relaxing all the muscles in your body 1 by 1

●working with a counselor or psychologist to deal with the problems that might be causing poor sleep

Should I see a doctor or nurse? — yes. If you have insomnia, and it is troubling you, see your doctor or nurse. He or she might have suggestions on how to fix the problem.

Are there medicines to help me sleep? — yes, there are medicines to help with sleep. But you should try them only after you try the techniques described above. You also should not use sleep medicines every night for long periods of time. Otherwise, you can become dependent on them for sleep.

Insomnia is sometimes caused by mental health problems, such as depression or anxiety. If that's the case for you, you might benefit from an antidepressant rather than a sleep aid. Antidepressants often improve sleep and can help with other worries, too.

Can I use alcohol to help me sleep? — no, do not use alcohol as a sleep aid. Even though alcohol makes you sleepy at first, it disrupts sleep later in the night.

  • Hyoscyamus: Some epileptic fits are followed by a deep sleep. This type of epileptic attacks can be treated with Hyoscyamus. Other symptoms addresses by this homeopathic medicine are fidgeting with bed clothes, fidgeting with fingers and muscular twitching.
