Whenever I used to do gym I have an unbearable pain on my back bone. Even I could not sit properly. Tell me what I do?

Sudden severe exercises can start symptoms like these. Take rest for few days. Restart gradually build & up stamina. It could be oa/obesity do hot fomentation. Any way take paracetamol 250mg od & sos you will need other supportive medicines also. Contact me again if needed. Do ask for detailed treatment plan. Do not ignore. It could be beginning of a serious problem.

My wife is suffering from osteoarthritis and restless legs syndrome. She has been oprated for joint knee replacement. Still she is suffering from leg and backpain. Please advice.

Backache is the commonest ailment. Do not worry, rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Any way take ibuprofen 200mg od & sos x 5days you will need other supportive medicines also. Take multivitamins & other antioxidants along with. Do back (spine) exercises make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take do reply back for private consultation and detailed treatment plan. For pain knee, I think physiotherapy should help her, unless, if some deficiency was in the operative procedure. Any way show me rays of knee& of back also.

Avoid sitting Cross legged. Avoid Squatting- Quadriceps Exercises- Lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core Strengthening Exercise- Straight Leg Raised With Toes Turned Outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams Stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. repeat 10 times, twice a day. Sports Taping- stretch the tape from both ends and apply on the affected area

Dear lybrate-user, get a mri done to pin point the cause and site of pain. Meanwhile go for ayurveda's panchkarma therapy - we have many option for you - kati basti (specialised panchakarma procedure for backpains), localised massgae with herbal oils, localised medicated steam, pottali massage. Continue these procedures for atleast 15 days. Regular oiling of the joint will improve the lubrication also. These procedures will relax your back muscles and give strength to your nerves and muscles of back. Also start some yogic exercises - tadasana, dhanurasan, halasana along with these therapies. This will greatly help. Please avoid pushing / pulling heavy objects, long sittings, long two-wheeler drives. Although some herbal medicines might also help you but after proper history taking. 1.Take bland diet, avoid oily and spicy food, 2.Drink plenty of water 3.Take one Tablet of meftal spas Ds sos after food up to a maximum of three tablets daily twice daily after food 4.Take one tablet of rantac150 mg twice daily before food 5. If no relief consult me for further advice

I m male 33 old. Have very weak left thigh. Pain in knees while walking. This is from last two years. Now also got pain in lumber back. M. R. I done 1 month back. Hariniated disc at l4-l5 and annular tear at l5-s1. Having physical from last 14 days. But no relief what should I do ?

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. You have mentioned your mri findings which is ok but actually it does not correspond to your thigh weakness because thigh nerves are at a higher level. In order to answer your question in a better manner, may I advise you to get: 1) a detailed neurological (motor, sensory, deep tendon reflexes) charting done by a trained physical therapist 2) your mri images and reports in an attachment also please tell me duration of your back pain and mode of onset. I would also like to ask you if it is associated with any leg pain or any other neurological symptoms like numbness, paraesthesias (electrical shock like abnormal sensations) or any weakness in limbs. Please also tell me about any associated symptoms like fever, weight loss etc. What medications you generally take and what has been your treatment history till now for existing problem. Do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance.

It can be related to your back pain. If you had problem of low back ache in past. Second option is use hot and cold fermentation on your right side of thigh. 1 min each fermentation and do 5 reps. (pain can be due to muscle weakness).

1. Take one tablet of crocin pain relief as and when required after food up to a maximum of 3 tablets daily, 2. Drink plenty of water 3. Take adequate rest 4. Have adequate sound sleep in the night for 7-8 hours if you have recurrent attack of headache1. It could be a tension headache due to anxiety/stress, depression inadequate sleep, low bp/high bp, migraine, prolonged use of cell phone/computer, chronic anaemia, refractive error, chronic sinusitis, organic brain lesion 2. Avoid stress, physical and mental exertion, have adequate sound sleep for 7-8 hours daily in the night 3. Go for regular exercise 4. Practice yoga, meditation and deep breathing exercise to calm your mind, control your emotion and relieve stress 5. Check for refractive error, sinusitis hemoglobin, bp 6. Avoid prolonged use of cell phone/computer 7. Consult neurologist to rule out other causes of headache, if required take a ct scan of head to exclude any brain lesion 8. If it is migraine you have to take migraine prophylactic drug after consulting neurologist.

Hi, you might have sprained your ankle while playing. Is there any swelling as well? best is to do cold fomentation with a flexible gel cold pack for 15 min. At least 2-3 times a day. If pain is on walking you can use crepe bandage or ankle support. Wear sports shoe for couple of days to provide compression and shock absorption. After doing all this still your pain persist than consider visiting Dr. In person without delay.

You are doing over workout than your staimina reduce workout give some rest after every excersice. Take calcium k2.7 capsule 1 daily after dinner with milk end take 2spoon prosup powder in a glass of lukewarm milk 30minuties before workout do 15 days than feedback to me.

So simple Always start your day with streched and exercises is must. Atleast you need to have bend and strech your spine for 10 time a day. Never sit or stand for longer time and never hump your back always see to that your spine straight. No need of any oinments. If so heavy pain just crush drumstick leaves and apply on painful area. Take care follow regularly.
