Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. There can actually be many reasons of pain in shoulder and hand region, it could be some degeneration in neck region or shoulder region. Also there can be an element of inflammation which can cause this also. My advise to you will be to start with some gentle anti inflammatory medication, physical therapy, adequate calcium and vitamin d intake and activity modification which leads to less stress on your neck and shoulder region. If you do not improve in next 2-3 weeks time, we will have to investigate you and get some investigations done. Do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance. I have a swollen lumb node and throat pain and muscle pain is this any symptoms of any diseases.

Usually swelling lymph node is due to infection, may be viral, if you wait while it may disappear if it toublesome better you see a doctor, he would be able to tell you the reason for it, and suggest you the treatment part of it you may need certain tests, x-ray, blood test biapsy of that swollen lymph gland. You can do some throat gargling with salt ed water toget rid off trout pain.

The best thing you can do for pain is to massage the leg, followed by hot fomentation. You can also drink milk boiled with garlic. This will help relieve the pain.

Hello dear, persistent feelings of tiredness, loss of interest & vague body symptoms of pain (creeping bones you said) is suggestive of depression. Now, the simplest solution to depression, tension, anxiety & similar problems ; is a proper course of medicines & certain lifestyle changes ranging from as simple things including a proper course of medicines to get rid of this problem plus meditation & daily 30 minutes jogging to more complex things as structured diary writing, thought recording etc. But for all these to happen, you first need to describe your symptoms in detail so that I can give you proper help & a fast relief. I have lower back pain for last 2 years. I have done MRI CT scan, kindly advise for further treatment.

You are over weight Reduce weight. Change food habites avoid too oily end ghee prepretions non veg over eating fast end junk food habites spacy etc. Do arobeic excersices yoga. Your back pain is due to over weight. You take Ķeva sli Ming capsule 1 in morning 30 minuties before lunch end dinner for a month than consult me for further treatment. Massage Ķeva anti pain oil on painful area. (Do Tadasan learn from guru than do it for good result) take simple veg food with green vegitabales salad etc.

I am a gymnastics trainer since last 2 years, but from last 2 months I am facing joint pain, what should I do to get rid off it.

Hi, Apply Bakson’s Rheum Aid oil gently (2-3 times a day) and take orally Bakson’s Rheum-Aid syrup/ 1 tablespoon thrice daily. Also, increase your dietary intake of calcium which is present in green leafy vegetables, milk, milk products, sea food, white legumes, dried fig, black-eyed peas, almonds, oranges, seasame seeds. And vitamin D which is essential for absorption of calcium in our body and is synthesized naturally after getting exposed to sunlight, so early morning sunlight for 10-15 min. 2-3 times a day is mandatory. Apart from this, do walk daily along with physiotherapy will also help you.

Dear you have not mentioned what kind of work you do. But do a few things as suggested below, it will reduce your problem. 1. When working take five minutes break even one hour. 2. Drink plenty of water while working. 3. Take a calcium tablet and one multivitamin tablet every day. 4. Increase quantity of protein in your diet. Regards

I am a 21 year old male and have a backache last 3-4 years long. What should I do in such situations?

Hi, You are very young to actually have persistent back pains. Also 3-4 years is a long time so it will require a detailed clinical examination and investigations so that the condition can be understood in detail. If you have localized back pain with no other symptoms like radiating leg pain, neurological symptoms like numbness, weakness, paresthesias etc and with no other associated constitutional symptoms like evening rise in temperature, loss of weight, excessive sweating at night etc, then you can start with following recommendations for initial period of 2-3 weeks: - to maintain proper posture of your back while working and sleeping - if pain is more then you can take a short course of an anti-inflammatory medication like tab etoshine or paracetamol or one which suits you - physical therapy initially under supervision of a trained physiotherapist and then to continue at home - adequate calcium & vitamin d intake if levels are low in body - ice packs can applied if your pain is acute, then hot fomentation can be done at home - analgesic spray for local application can be used and is easily available. - avoid lifting heavyweight/ acute forward bending in mornings etc we will observe you for next 2-3 weeks how you respond to this conservative management protocol. If you are not feeling better, then we will have to get some investigations like, dynamic x rays of lower back and few blood tests for evaluation. Hi m having unbearable pain in my lower back rib of right side for last two days. Got ultra sound done at Saket super speciality which shows no abnormality taking doitrin/meftal whenever pain occurs it gives relief for 7-8 hours than it occurs again .pain moves from lower right back to stomach. US reports shows no stones or any abnormality please suggest.

Postural Correction- Sit Tall, Walk Tall. Extension Exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times.

Why a foot wear is so essential ?
We all have different foot prints. So depending on the footprints body posture muscle weakness (lower body musculature) hip , knee and core muscles can be determined.
I would request you to take foot prints of your feet and let me know.

It is very difficult to explain a patient that how disturbed foot prints are responsible for their knee pain, back pain neck pain.

This could be the result of muscle soreness by performing the exercise. Try applying ice on the area for 10-15 min, this will help to improve the blood flow and also relax the spasm.

First of all check your posture when you are lifting any material like heavy bucket. And try to lift the heavy bucket without bending your back. You may lift the bucket after bending your knees only. This will definitely help you. * gentle massage with lukewarm mustard oil of your waist area will also give you relief. * surya namaskar is only exercise which you need to do. * in diet vegetable protein of cereal, b complex supplements and half teaspoon of haldi in a cup of milk for seven days will give you enough relief.

I am having pain in the left leg for nearly last 4 months. I have consulted to start with Orthopedician who diagnosed the problem as TROCHANTERIC Bursitis .After not getting relief, I consulted Neurophysiologist who after detail physical examination suggested to check with my Rheumatologist. He prescribed pain reliever for 2 weeks, but till date no relief. Please advise concerned Dept/Doctor who can diagnose the problem for treatment.

Hello, thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. There are many causes of pain in lower back region. It can be due to faulty posture, related to weak muscles, issues with intervertebral disc, narrowing of spinal canal, any bony instability besides many other, so accurate diagnosis is the key to proper management of the condition. I would also like to ask you if it is associated with any other neurological symptoms like numbness, paraesthesias (electrical shock like abnormal sensations) or any weakness in limbs. Please also tell me about any associated symptoms like fever, weight loss etc. What medications you generally take and what has been your treatment history till now for existing problem. Also your sexual life may or may not be related to your spinal pathology, but since this is a long standing story, I advise you to get relevant x rays and mri scans done and send them across to me.
