Hi, I am 30 years old. I went to gym 8 months continuously taking Optimum nutrition Mass gainer. I was weighed about 63 kgs at that time. Its been 8 months i'm away from gym. I lost 6 kgs weight recently due to stress and lost of pressure. Now that i'm away from gym, I need some tips to increase my weight naturally by eating good food with out any supplement. Is it okay to take weight gaining supplements without working out.

For weight gain, -Eat more calories than your body burns. -Eat lots of foods that are calorie-dense. This includes various nuts and dry fruits, bananas, potatoes, rice, peanut butter. -Drink milk daily. -Consume more proteins and carbohydrates. -Increase your regular meal portions by some amount. -If you eat non-veg food, eat it more often. Get your blood checked for CBC and follow up with reports and Few diet tips - Not to eat fried food items and Can eat All green vegetables, moong, chana,Dal, rice etc And to apply ghee over chappati and don’t apply oil over chappati And to drink milk mixed with turmeric powder twice a day And If possible eat eggs on alternate days And If possible in breakfast eat atleast one bajra ka rotla And Eat seasonal fruit.

Include various shakes and smoothies, dry fruits and nuts, ghee and other healthy fats, multigrain or whole wheat bread, cheese to your diet. Eat more potatoes, rice and bananas. You can also try peanut butter or other nut butters. Increase your protein consumption. If you eat non-veg, eat it more often. Do little exercise everyday. We are here to guide you. To gain weight you need to consume above 3000 calories. Fruits that are good source of energy and fat are 1. Mangoes - additional benefit of vit a, c, e 2. Banana - additional benefit of potassium content 3. Avocado - good fat, vitamin m and potassium 4. Olives - good source of sodium 5. Dried fruits - almonds, cashew, nuts, fig etc use them with milk as a shake or smoothie for better taste and added benefits.

Dear, you can get a healthy muscular body by following methods: - 1. To gain weight, your digestion should work properly for proper digestion - take 10 gms powder of carom seeds (ajwain, 10 gm powder of cumin (jeera), 10 gm of rock salt. Mix them well and take 1/2 teaspoon (3-5 gm) of mixture daily after meal. 2. Take a diet rich with proteins and fats. You should take high calorie food that increase your muscle mass and induce growth in bones. Follow the diet chart in your daily life to fastly gain weight * in morning, take a glass of milk added with 2 teaspoons of protein powder with breakfast. * in lunch time, take 1 bowl of curd or 100 gm of cheese, a bowl of vegetable, with chapattis. * in evening, take 1 glass of milk (300 ml) with 2 bananas. * in night, take a bowl of careals (daal, a bowl of salad with chapattis. 3. In morning, get up early and take awalk for 10-15 minutes and exercise light weight exercises for at least 30 minutes at home or gym. 4. For proper weight, proper sleep is very important. So you should sleep for 6-8 hours daily. 5. Avoid smoking & alcohol drinkg completely. 6. Dear you can easily gain weight and get a healthy muscular body by following these best things - 1. To gain weight, your digestion should work properly. If you have any disease of digestive system you should treat disease first. For proper digestion - take 10 gms powder of carom seeds (ajwain, 10 gm powder of cumin (jeera), 10 gm of rock salt. Mix them well and take 1/2 teaspoon (3-5 gm) of mixture daily after meal. Or take 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper (kali mirch), 1/ 2 tea spoon of jeera (cumin), 2-3 slice of ginger. Boil it in one glass of water for 2-3 minutes. Drink 5-10 teaspoons (15-20 ml) in morning and evening for strong digestive system. Or you can take amla powder 1 teaspoon with water for strong digestion. 2. Take a diet rich with proteins and fats. I have lost my weight about 2 Kg in last one year. The accumass weight gainer can be taken or not by me, pl suggest. I am diabetic since 1998. My age is 67 years. Height 5 f, 10 inches. At present I take Glypride 2 mg BD. Galvus Met (50 850) before breakfast, Roimet 500 mg OD before dinner, and Winofit OD. Mr. lybrate-user, Looking at your age, height and weight, your ideal body weight (IBW) should be 177.5 - 100 = 77.5 X 0.9 = 69.75 kgs. Hence I do not see any reason why one should be worried about the weight loss. Your current BMI is 23.17 kgs / M2, which absolutely normal. When a person is on pioglitazone then there is a tendency to add weight, due to that drug's side effect. Vildagliptin is a weight neutral drug and metformin can help in weight reduction if one is over weight. In fact maintaining a good weight close recommended BMI of 23 kgs/M2 is excellent. I do not see any reason why one should think of adding extra at all. Thanks.

Your Daily food intake should ideally consist of – a. Have plenty of nuts, dry fuits and seeds. Almonds, walnuts, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, figs, dates and raisins. They are full of healthy fats needed by a human body. B. Good amount of fruits and vegetables – Bananas, apples, pomegranate, green leafy vegetables. Fruits and vegetables helps in absorption of food in the body and together, completes your daily nutrition need. C. If you are a non- vegetarian - Eat eggs, chicken etc. D. Eat whole grains – Try to have multi grains spread throughout the day. Wheat, brown rice, oats, bajra, daliya etc should be taken in multiple meals in a day. E. Eat Sprouts – Chana and moong which are full of protein and nutrients. F. You can supplement your diet with good quality multi-vitamin capsules. If you are lacking in protein, you can buy a high quality whey protein and have it with banana shake twice a day. G.
