Can be due to allergy: allergy can be controlled easily using eye drops. But there are many eye drops and specific eye drops can only be prescribed after seeing the eye clinically as treatment depends on severity. Also dip a handkerchief in little cold water and keep over closed eyes. You will feel better.

Currently he is suffering eye related problem with respect to diabetic retinopathy and also leg pain because of diabetic neuropathy. He is worried because of these and off late he is suddenly behaving weird in his sleep, like shouting, doing weird actions without his notice, this continues for one to three hours and becomes normal after that and he is not aware of any of the actions he did. Hello lybrate-user.a vitreo-retinal surgeon. It looks like your father is suffering from the consequences of diabetes. It is better to consult a neurologist. Also it is utmost importance that the blood sugar levels are under control and the medications are being taken regularly. As far as eyes is concerned, it is better to consult a vitreo-retinal surgeon. Diabetic retinopathy is a blinding and vision threatening but preventable and treatable disease. Therefore regular eye checks are mandatory which should be done periodically depending upon the severity of the retinopathy. Hope this helps you and your father but please due consult the concerned specialist.

My eyes getting red after bath what is the reason behind this and what should I do for this.
It is due to Eye allergy that your eyes are getting red may be due to soap, shampoo or chlorin in water. What ever is the case ,it is normal if your eyes recover after sometime and if red eye persits for longer time after bath and you feel some kind of irritation/pain in eyes thenit is a matter of concern.Just wear Goggles in sunlight and pollution.

There is no medication or food for improving eyesight or to get rid of glasses. If not interested in glasses then you can try a. Contact lens b. Lasik laser as your age is now 21 years so your number will not increase now whether you wear glasses or not as number becomes stable at age of 18-20 yrs. Having said that I advise you to eat balanced diet including green vegetables and seasonal fruits for keeping eyes and body healthy. As you are not comfortable with contact lens then go for lasik. Lasik is a very easy and painless procedure. If you want to get rid of glasses then go for lasik.

Under Eye Dark Circles - Easy Ways You Can Get Rid Of Them!

Most of us have had those days when we look into the mirror and suddenly notice under-eye bags and puffy dark circles staring back at us. The secret to getting rid of dark circles is not just getting a good night’s sleep. There is more to it

Causes of dark circles
Inherited issue – Majority of people who have dark circles inherit it from their parents. If your parents have thin skin or high-pigmentation in the under-eye area of the skin, you can get it too.

  • It can lead to volume depletion under the eyes.
  • If you are prone to skin allergies, it can increase your chances of getting dark circles under the eyes.
  • Frequent eye rubbing can lead to darkened eyes.
  • People who have thin, pale skin have glaring blood vessels, which manifest itself as a reddish-purple hue showing through.

Seven effective ways to get rid of dark circles

  1. Try retinoid: Retinoid helps to build collagen and aids the recovery of skin volume and fairness. Consult with a dermatologist and use them to prevent thin skin under the eyes, thereby improving dark circles.
  2. Use skin-lightening products and sunscreen: At times, dark circles result from increased pigment, either from rubbing or sun damage. Try topical lightening agents like Vitamin C, Licorice extract or Kojic acid to decrease skin pigmentation and eliminate dark circles. Also, invest in a good broad-spectrum sunscreen that contains zinc oxide and titanium dioxide.
  3. Take an antihistamine: If allergies are causing puffy eye problems, taking antihistamine drugs will help to clear them up and keep your under-eye issues under control.
  4. Follow a healthy sleep routine: A regular sleep routine with the right amount of sleep time will help a great deal to reduce the stress and as a result get rid of dark circles.
  5. Double up your pillows and sleep on your back: If you have dark circles due to vascular issues, use an extra pillow and sleep on your back to stop blood from building up under your eyes.
  6. Cool down: You can also try to apply a cold compress for 10 to 20 minutes to constrict your blood vessels. Cucumber slices, gel eye masks, cold wash rags and chilled tea bags can be used to make your eyes feel fresh and look brighter.
  7. Follow a minimum-salt dietExcess salt and less water can cause your body to retain more water, thus causing under-eye bags. Therefore, avoid too much salt in your diet and stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water.

Working on computer for long hours at a stretch makes your eyes dry. Try to take 2 minutes break every one hour while working and blink your eyes 20-25 times followed by palming. If required you may use tear drops on your doctor's prescription.
