When I am watching TV or reading newspaper especially in the evening/night why my heartbeat goes slow?

MBBS, Dip.Cardiology, Fellowship in Clinical Cardiology(FICC), Fellowship in Echocardiology
Cardiologist, Ghaziabad
When I am watching TV or reading newspaper especially in the evening/night why my heartbeat goes slow?
You did not mention how much is your heart rate Normally the heart beats 60 to 100 times per minute. The rate may drop below 60 beats per minute in people who exercise routinely or take medicines that slow the heart. If your heart rate is fast (over 100 beats per minute), this is called tachycardia. A heart rate slower than 60 is called bradycardia. An occasional extra heartbeat is known as extrasystole. Unless your heartbeat goes slower than 40 or 45 regularly all unless you have some symptoms of dizziness syncope you don't have to worry about a little slow heart rate.

Hello dear High triglycerides and cholesterol can cause atherosclerotic heart disease or narrowed coronary arteries in the heart can cause the symptoms of angina, when theheart muscle is not provided with enough oxygen to function. Decreased blood supply to the brain may be due to narrowed small arteries in the brain or because the larger carotidarteries in the neck may become blocked. This can result in a transient ischmic attack or stroke. Peripheral artery disease describes gradual narrowing of the arteries that supply the legs. During exercise , if the legs do not get enough blood supply, they can develop pain , called claudication . Other arteries in the body may also be affected by plaque buildup causing them to narrow, including the mesenteric arteries to the intestine and the renal arteries to the kidney. Change life style .do meditation, yoga, Go walk daily, do any one physically activity daily i.e.play any game., Avoid fast foods, oily foods, junk foods, alcohol, smoking, fatty foods, non-veg.,avoid stress, take plenty of water in day time. And 1 glass of water before bed at night. use flax oil, omega-3 fatty meal or cap., take .green veg., whole grain. garlic,. Take anti cholesterol medicines .

It would be better if you consulted a doctor who can make a proper diagnosis for your condition. Do not neglect yourself. No medication will be prescribed online.

Onset of hypertension is possible after 18 years of age. It is generally a life long condition and if treated appropriately, can help prevent lethal consequences especially stroke, heart attacks, blindness and renal failure. Both strokes and heart attacks have symptoms that come on abruptly.

Bran inflammation is a serious issue. It is better that you consult a neurologist. Take brain MRI and professional treatment. Home remedies will be helpful after the cause of inflammation is determined, and not to be done as the only treatment option. Do contact with the investigations and I can extend home remedies.
