It seems your headache and blood pressure is not properly managed. You need to see a good doctor who can advise you on having a good advise on your lifestyle and some advise on managing stress and relaxation. Bearing the pain for 30 years is injustice.

I have migraine from past 1 year. What should I do to overcome this unbearable pain?

I am giving some health tips for Migraine headache •1.You can turn off light for some time •2.Apply hot or cold compresses to your head or neck. •Ice packs have a numbing effect, which may dull the sensation of pain. •Hot packs and heating pads can relax tense muscles. •3.Warm showers or baths may have a similar effect. •4.You can take Tea or coffee( but not excess) 5.Sleep well Here are some tips to encourage sound sleep. Establish regular sleep hours. •Minimize distractions. •Your eating habits can influence your migraines. •Be consistent. Eat at about the same time every day. Don't skip meals. Fasting increases the risk of migraines Avoid foods that trigger migraines Meditation This problem can be solved by Meditation, i can give you address of rajyoga meditation center near your house Consult Physician/me for further management

My father had intracerebral hemorrhagic stroke 25 days before due to high blood pressure and diabetes. His right side is paralysed and he has difficulty speaking and swallowing. Doctors said operation is not possible and medications are given. Please tell me how long it will take to recover and are there any chances of stroke again. Will the bleeding in brain cure by tablets only?

MBBS, MD - Consultant Physician, DNB (General Medicine), DM - Neurology
Neurologist, Vijayawada
It might take 3-6 months for reasonable recovery. It depends on how aggresive you will do physiotherapy. Yes there is a chance of rebleed if his BP is not controlled. Just keep a watch on BP and do proper physiotherapy. Bleed will resolve on its own.

What happens to people with autism when they grow up?

Since autism is a spectrum and people have varying skill levels, future is not the same for all people with autism. A lot of children who are able to cope with mainstream school /college education go undiagnosed and are successful at jobs but may be considered quiet or reserved adults by their family, friends and colleagues.

Several adults on the spectrum who have been diagnosed, and been in a supportive environment in their childhood, have written books which have facilitated and enhanced the understanding of the condition. We have examples of people who are professionally very successful. Some have gone on to become famous authors and at least one has won a Nobel Prize. Some advocate and speak for themselves and for other people with autism in the community.

Some of those who are fully independent in their everyday life may find it difficult to sustain the demands of a job and work environment. Some are married and some choose not to.

Some of those who are married face difficulties in forming relationships with their spouses and carry out responsibilities that come with marriage and having a family, and may continue to need support of another person in planning and carrying out the activities in running a house.

As in every other condition, some people on the spectrum will always need support in life and may never be fully independent. As yet, in India, there are few schools which have an environment or the attitude to accommodate the special needs of people on the autism spectrum. Vocational centers and employment opportunities are even fewer.

For most parents struggling with getting services for their child with autism, one of the biggest worry is‘what after us?’ As yet, there are not enough and appropriate lifespan services for people with autism where they can lead a life of dignity and respect.

However, with support from people around them including the family, friends, neighbours and teachers all of them can lead a happy and meaningful life.

My partner is 19 so for her I want to ask that she is showing symptoms of having migraine so I want to know what actually is migraine? And how does that affect anyone? And how to treat it? Is it worried some problem please tell me.

PDDM, MHA, MBBS
General Physician, Nashik
Migraine headaches can cause throbbing in one particular area that can vary in intensity. Nausea and sensitivity to light and sound are also common symptoms. Avoid triggers. If certain foods or odors seem to have triggered your migraines in the past, avoid them. Reduce your caffeine and alcohol intake and avoid tobacco. In general, establish a daily routine with regular sleep patterns and regular meals. In addition, try to control stress. Exercise regularly. Regular aerobic exercise reduces tension and can help prevent migraines. If your doctor agrees, choose any aerobic exercise you enjoy, including walking, swimming and cycling. Warm up slowly, however, because sudden, intense exercise can cause headaches. Obesity is also thought to be a factor in migraine headaches, and regular exercise can help you maintain a healthy weight or lose weight.

Most of arachnoid cyst of small size, if having no compression on surrounding structures are just left alone without any intervention Your headache may be due to certain other reason like migraine or something.
